Ive been way too busy to read lately so I just now got to the second chapter of Ever After Over Again and DUDE I FUCKING LIVE FOR YOUR WRITING

Ruby's hand dipped and fell. Hope? What had hope gotten them so far? A one-way bridge to who knew where, a fallen kingdom, no relics, and all of it on her head. She'd scraped her reserves of hope raw just trying to keep herself together through that. All she could offer Jinxy were her bloody fingertips and the ghost of the girl she'd been. That girl had wanted to go to the Ever After; that girl would've loved to run around in this place and play the hero instead of drag herself towards the exit knowing that nothing but ruin lay on the other side.

OMFG THAT IS SO DELICIOUSLY ANGSTY AND PAINFUL. UGHWJXBS i just fuck so hard with V9!Ruby warring with the little girl she used to be. and JFCCCC THIS SENTENCE “She’d scraped her reserves of hope raw just trying to keep herself together” UGHJWIS IM IN LOVE WITH A FUCKING SENTENCE. Hopeful characters feeling utterly hopeless I JUST LOVE TO SEE IT OKAYYY but also really love how she was able to find just a little in Penny 😭

Also LOVING what your small changes to Weiss and Yang respective moments (weiss not being a complete joke, actually crying and frustrated over their situation?? Yang being more mindful of her sister? IM HERE FOR IT)

Hell yeah I'm thrilled you're having such a good time with what's out so far! That particular line - visualizing Ruby's supply of "hope" as some kind of physical container she could injure herself trying to draw from - was a joy to write.
