hi 😆 how are you feeling after this baku weekend? wonky format aside, I'm still super buzzed about it – finally a good weekend for charles (and ferrari by extension) where he shined! it's been so nice to see him with a big smile the whole time

also (and this is mainly why I'm writing) I'm very happy that charles took the time to explicitly thank and praise xavi on the radio after sessions in the car, because he indeed did a good job! – it all felt very deliberate as well, like we shouldn't forget that charles reads basically everything people write on twitter, and unfortunately people are still being weird about xavi there (although less than usual, yay baby steps I guess)

anyway. let's hope miami will be good too 🤞🏻

Yessss, the weekend was such a needed mood lifter for us Charles fans 😭 And for Charles himself tbh, feels like forever since he had an actual clean weekend. Probably Abu Dhabi last year if I’m remembering correctly? Something like that.

I wish that translated to positive press, but of course a certain major publication had to pander to the “lol qualy merchant” crowd by making a percentage graphic without context, essentially trying to paint a strength as a weakness. 😑 Not his fault the car(s) he’s been given is/are inferior! 😤 Thankfully there’s also been a lot of positive press and sentiment to balance it out, and it’s been great to see him get more coverage attention for being back in the top 3. My little content creator heart is so happy 😭

Now onto Miami, where we’ll see if Ferrari’s form in Baku was just a happy little track specific accident or if they can continue to at least be top 3 competitive this week as well.

You always bring up such interesting points! 👀 I didn’t pay that much attention to it, although I did see some quotes on Tami’s Twitter, and you’re absolutely right. I saw a lot of fresh anti-Xavi sentiment going hand in hand with the Laurent exit confirmation, as in, “take him too while you’re at it.” And Charles does lurk a lot, and even communicates directly with Tami (love that) so it’s totally possible he saw at least some of it. 🤔 Definitely interesting! 👀
