New G-Rated VictUnov Fic Posted
And featuring Dragunov being the rigidly-autistic military man that he is. It's a good thing Victor knows him so well.
Note: It's very soft but it's also set in the future and Victor's smart enough to know when he needs to be his usual serious self and when to show more emotions. Even if their relationship is only newly romantic.

Seeing Dragunov tearing up and nearly crying because his model tank kit didn't have all the pieces and he can't get any spares/replacement parts because the company went bankrupt is adorable af and we refuse to budge on that stance.
Sergei Dragunov is adorable as fuck.

Random Thought About A Claudio Intro After Playing Tekken Last Night:
Claudio not having a special intro with Dragunov makes sense because they never actually meet in-game but is still funny af when they go up against each other and Claudio is like "This is no place for amateurs". Like. My guy. The "amateur" between you and Dragunov is you.
You showed up, riding on your family legacy's coattails, and then proceeded to fuck up the whole way through. Not to mention you're fucking begging Victor to take you seriously because he clearly hates you (and for good objective reason alongside the personal ones) but obviously respects Dragunov.
Dragunov, who Victor canonically has some sort of history with. Not to mention, even if they didn't, Dragunov has proven that he's a capable fighter and commander. Babygirl's moniker is the White Angel of Death for a fucking reason.
Victor clearly respects people who can get shit done and do so competently. Which Dragunov does and has done in the past. Claudio is basically a nepo baby with delusions of grandeur who Victor hates so much that he's the only one who Victor goes straight to pulling his gun on other than Kazuya the Big Bad of Tekken 8.
Victor fought tooth and nail to shed the title of "nepo baby" pinned on him by jealous colleagues and Caludio has done nothing to beat the allegations. He has, in fact, made it worse.
But a more in-depth explanation as to why we feel like it makes sense for Victor to despise Claudio will have to wait for when we've gathered our thoughts better and put it into an essay format.
Because baby, we have receipts.

New VictUnov Fanfic has finally dropped!
It's a T-Rated, Pre-Slash fic of Victor Chevalier and Sergei Dragunov's possible first meeting. There's light flirting, non-graphic violence, and even some homoerotic grappling thrown in for good measure!

Babe, wake up, new Sergei Dragunov-inspired tattoo just dropped.
Should only be one more session for the shading/rendering and it's scheduled for the 4th. >:3
(tattoo under cut because it's high up on the thigh but there isn't actually anything "inappropriate" showing in any of the pictures.)

Seriously you guys his eyes are absolutely stunning.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
There's just something about the cold and almost doll-like nature of this man that's accentuated by his eyes that somehow also can convey so much despite him emoting so little.
(At least until you start getting into Tekken 7 and even more so in Tekken 8 when he's on vacation and doesn't need to do any masking but that's a topic for our essay on why Dragunov is autistic which is decidedly not the point of this post.)
Sergei Dragunov's Eyes Appreciation Post:
Dragunov's eyes are SO fucking gorgeous you guys. Whether it's concept art, official illustrations, 3d renders, or even in-game cutscenes, Dragunov's eyes are as beautiful as the rest of him.
And Sergei Dragunov is an ethereally beautiful man.

Update!
The fic is now in the line editing stages! Just another pass or two and it'll be posted on ao3! For now we're just waiting for a couple of people to look over it and see if they have any suggestions before finishing it up!
(the good Dr. B did not show up in the fic, btw. not that he would have had anything more than a line or two even if he had been named)
it's kind of crazy how simply coming at an old idea with fresh eyes can really help you out.
Today we had the urge to write a fic about Dragunov and Victor's first meeting from Dragunov's point of view instead of Victor's like we'd been trying to a few times before and it's working CRAZY well.
Originally it was supposed to be from Victor's POV and have him and a squad getting ambushed by Dragunov who's already started gaining a bit of a reputation as the White Angel of Death. Instead, we decided to switch it up so that the fic would be from Dragunov's POV and Victor and his squad would be the ones ambushing Dragunov and his own. (and even with a little bit part from Dr. Bosconovitch depending on how the fic goes and where it ends up.)
Snippet of the extremely rough draft under the cut:
They were breathing steadily despite their previous fighting, the only proof either of them had just been in such an arduous battle being the visible clouds of air between them. The strange knife the other man still held was currently pressed against Sergei’s throat just light enough to be a warning yet not cause anymore physical harm. Their bodies were pressed together in multiple other places as well; the man’s thighs trapping Sergei’s own, their crotches close enough to grind together with the slightest of adjustments, and one of Sergei’s arms was pinned to the ground with the other’s free hand.
But it was the eye contact that had Sergei truly frozen.
Under any other circumstances he would have been struggling not to squirm at the discomfort inherent to locking eyes for longer than a split-second. Not even Sergei’s parents or teachers had ever been able to stop him from looking away. Or at the very least slightly off too the side. Fear of corporal punishment hadn’t even been enough to overpower the feeling of his skin crawling when forcing eye contact.
Yet this situation was somehow different. It wasn’t a comfortable one by any means, but it wasn’t the same kind that had led ultimately led to Sergei’s beatings as a child.
While idly waiting for something to happen, he wondered if it was due to the way the other man’s pupils were blown wide as they stared at each other.

We Think About This A Lot But.....
Dragunov would look really good with black lipstick on his upper lip. Just the one lip to make it look something like with Kazuma Kaneko's art style.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We think it would look really good on him. Especially with his lips being as full as they are, it would help really show off the look.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dragunov wouldn't really wear any make-up often- if ever -but if he did at any point, it would be pretty understated for the most part.

Finally started typing up our VictUnov Multiple Reincarnations fic. Almost done typing up the prologue and will post it as soon as we can. We're hoping to post it before the weekend is over, but there's still line editing to go through, as well as finishing up with the transcription.
For now, though, there's a little snippet under the cut for those curious. :3

Has anyone else noticed the way Dragunov's eyes shine when he looks up in his and Victor's special intro?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Because we haven't seen anyone else mention it yet and are kind of absolutely fucking feral about this.
It's so interesting, cuz like. Sure, it could be the lighting engine, but it's also visible during their reunion cutscene in the story mode.
Tumblr media
And sure, it's not quite as easy to see because of all the dust, but if you look closely at the lower half of his pupils where the light would hit them, you can see a shift in color there despite that.
We just find this little detail really interesting because of how "lifeless" and "dull" Dragunov is and has always been when talking about visible emotions. Even in his eyes, it's kind of hard to ever really see anything in there.
Like a killer doll with the bare minimum of sentience.
And yet, once he sees his old rival, it's like. Like there's some sort of Shift there. That, coupled with the little growl he always does before his fights with Victor begin, make us so curious about the extent of their history.
And just how much Victor's returning presence in his life could change Dragunov's story and his place within that of Tekken's.
(Yes, we know there's a lot of speculation and projection in this post, but that's kind of the point when you have so little to go on.)
