Do you believe the 4B movement would be successful in the US? Why or why not?

#No I don’t think it would #I think we got very close and made such significant progress with second wave feminism that I think we’re a little far progressed for #such a movement to feel needed by most women (feminist or not) #does that make sense? #like. i think it would be seen as an extreme measure that is necessary in places where it is worse for women. and we’ve made enough #progress (so to speak) that i think it would be seen as a huge and unnecessary overreaction #that we don’t have it as bad as women in China or South Korea so it would be ‘unnecessary’ for us #which I don’t think it would be. But I think it would seem unreasonable extreme for normie women #we also — for all the progress we’ve made — have such substantially worse female class consciousness and solidarity #which is in part because of the progress we’ve made. #we progressed juuuuust enough that enough women left their class consciousness behind. #women in South Korea and China still have that class consciousness because women are still treated as an ‘other’ or out group to such #a degree that they’ve never had a chance to forget about it. #you know what i mean? #we have to rebuild class consciousness first. class consciousness exists there in a way that it doesn’t here. we have to build that back #before we could even attempt a 4B or 4B-esque movement #I think it could potentially be successful… in a few decades after a lot of consciousness raising. #I hope none of this comes across wrong or tone deaf or sounds too jumbled #TLDR maybe someday but certainly not right now

a celebrity i have beef with is soulja boy. i swear this is true okay, i have no reason to lie about it, it's literally soulja boy but back when the 6789998212 number actually was his phone number (it was a fan line where you could leave him voicemails and he'd sometimes call back.) well, this is the height of crank that soulja boy, it was the first dance i ever had down on lock, and i was in love w him. i called the number everyday and once i left a voicemail like, i love you, can i be your soulja girl, i'm your biggest fan, blah blah. girl 💀 tell me why this man called me back and left a voicemail where he was clowning me with his friends and went, "hell NO you can't be my soulja girl." well, i wasn't much different as a child so i called him and cussed him out over voicemail. i said he sucked, i was no longer a fan, and other colorful language. this man proceeded to call me like multiple times a day to probably cuss me out back lmfaoo i blocked his number because my friends convinced me he was going to sue me

really tired of women’s clothes (or rather, “feminine clothes”) being described as “flirty”. like, “a fun, flirty dress for the summer” and it’s a midi length dress with ruffles or some shit. what about clothing is flirty? like i know it’s intended to be a style and not an actual invitation, but it still bothers me & feeds into the whole “what was she wearing” thing

thinking about how when you experience a lot of shame in your formative years (indirectly, directly, as abuse or just as an extant part of your environment) it becomes really difficult to be perceived by other people in general. the mere concept of someone watching me do anything, whether it's a totally normal activity or something unfamiliar of embarrassing, whether I'm working in an excel spreadsheet or being horny on main, it just makes my skin crawl and my brain turn to static because I cannot convince myself that it's okay to be seen and experienced. because to exist is to be ashamed and embarrassed of myself, whether I'm failing at something or not, because my instinctive reaction to anyone commenting on ANYTHING I'm doing is to crawl into a hole and die. it's such a bizarre and dehumanizing feeling to just not be able to exist without constantly thinking about how you are being Perceived. ceaseless watcher give me a god damn break.

Why do we try to act like Antisemitism is an exclusive foible of the political Right, anyway? Buddy, I have witnessed the ideological intersection of “kill the bourgeoisie” and “Jews control the banks and media” - it’s not a pretty picture!
