I’ve never encountered such thing, nothing so powerfull, nothing so... divine. “Don’t you really? Fear anything, I mean. Because, well, there is a plenty of scary shit out there, lemme tell you.”

“I know you aren’t, darling.” I said, smiling at her. Since I was from Noir universe, aka 30′s, the idea of me lying in bed with her was strange. Although to be fair, I was never one to do everything according to the book. I grabbed blanket and pillow from the bedroom and brought it to Serinaty so she could lay down. “Would you like anything else?” I asked.

Large greasy pizza shouldn’t be too hard in this city of all places, it’d just be up to her friend to pick one of the best. With that she’d follow, “by the way did you have any questions for me?” 

"It's not like you have much of choice, right." I laughed playfully. Serinaty wasn't around here and although she certainly could figure out a place to eat, it wouldn't be as efficient as to ask a natives. Though, to be fair, I was from Canada and she could have just randomly walk into even better place that I had in mind, but like, you get it. "Honestly, I have like a billion questions for you, but I think we should first eat something. Interrogation is always easier with foot in your mouth." I intentionally said fooT as a joke. Should I explain...? No, shut up.

She couldn’t shake it—she’s never seen Wade Wilson lose her cool like that. Though the only remark left on her face was a light smirk. Wasn’t the end of the world…or at least they weren’t going to let be.

“Mm…think the change in gravity and air pressure scrambled your brains there—darlin’.” She’s still keeping the whole facade, now hyper aware of who might be listening. That and it’s kinda fun. The back of her hand reaches to touch his forehead to check for any physical symptoms despite half joking.

“Nope. Not dying. Just dumb. Still cute though.” Her smile spreads wider into a more shit eating grin. Another drink couldn’t hurt, at least a smidge of vacation before they technically head back to work. What did the guy want with the boss?

“Absolutely.” She waits for another once they flag the bartender down for a quick order, something a little harder this time. “Y’know, should’ve expected that we’d end up having to bring work into our honeymoon. Grind never stops, huh?”

“Sure. That must be it.” I said, knowing fully well that was not it. Though I couldn’t exactly put my finger on what caused that outburst, it didn’t really matter all that much. The damage was done and we had to deal with it now. I smiled, since I liked when Eloise called me darling. It felt warm and sweet, even though it was all just pretend.

I snorted when she diagnosed me with being dumb. “Touché” I said with amused expression. “Alright, I’ll be right back.” I stood up and went for two more drinks to please my wife. “Yeah... I kinda hoped this would be boring filler vacation episode, but I guess we’ll back at the main program.” I said, bumping my glass to hers. “Cheers, baby.”

Alice Kingsleigh, the champion of the Underland, the only person, who could make a difference in situation like that. I was glad I could find her, because without her, I am not sure what could possibly happen. 

But Wade, you may ask, how on Earth, did you end up in Underland and what the hell are you doing? Let me explain, curious reader. I’ve ended up in Underland when I went through a mirror. That’s right. No rabbit holes, just a damn mirror. I saw it, glowing at the wall and I though, hm, you know what would be really good idea? Go through it! So I did. And I ended up here. Except not really “here”, I ended up at the Red Queen’s Court. Being monster that I am, I fitted in perfectly. Thought I wasn’t happy, so I joined the other side. Then the whole Jabberwocky thing happened. Which was fine, I mean, I was on White Queen’s side, obviously. But then...

“The Red Queen has escaped from the Ruins. And I’ve seen the Ace of Spades at North.” I informed Alice, voice tense. “I am not sure what exactly is happening, but I am sure it’s not good.”

   It wasn’t the first time she was called upon to act, but it was the first time for which it was far more urgent. Not to say all the other times were not urgent, but this was a different type of urgency, which meant that she would have to act as soon as possible.

However, action without thought would only lead to unexpected consequences. Something that she nor her friends couldn’t afford. Not when it would put others at risk and while she could handle what was thrown at her, it wasn’t her head on the plate, but rather those she cared about.

    “Tell me everything you know.”
