Mother's love?

I craved your love more than anything in this

world,

But it always felt like something I had to pry

from you. I begged and pleaded for even a hint

of affection, but instead, I settled for ridicule

and fleeting conversation.Our communication

was always a struggle, a fight,

And I knew deep down that it wasn't quite

right. Seeing mothers with their children, grief

hit me hard, for the motherly love I yearned for

was forever marred. Whenever we're together,

there's a ticking time bomb, yet I still overstay

my welcome, holding on to a false calm

I know deep down that this is all we'l ever

have, and it's hard to watch you try after so

long.

I can't allow myself to believe that you've

changed, not when l've been proven wrong by

your actions, deranged.

It's time to face the truth and accept the

reality, that a toxic mother's love is not worth

the agony: will no longer beg or plead

love anymore

For it's not worth the pain and the hurt

I don't hate people

I love people, I really do

I love watching them create,

and care, and love.

I love people when they're happy

I feel them when they're scared,

I mourn them when they're dead.

I love people, I really do

But I've never understood people,

it's like the language they spoke

were foreign to my soul

even though I know every word,

I feel dazed when they talk

even more so when they wait

like there's something I need to say.

When i finally do try and speak,

the meaning twists, knots and dies,

I'm always met with confused stares

and an urging sensation to flee.

I love people, I really do

I love the intensity of their eyes

and the delicacy of their hands,

I love the poems they've written,

their dances, their cheers, their laughs,

their buildings that reach the skies.

I love people, I really do

But the air is always thin when they're close

and their touch can only burn.

I can't crave the comfort of a hug

or the tenderness behind a kiss,

cause there's probably a piece

missing deep within my soul

and when they touch I can only feel pain,

Can you love something

when you want them far far away?

I love people, I really do

They are me, and I am them

I breathe, and bleed, and cry, and try,

just like we people are supposed to,

I maybe look like them

and maybe they do look a bit like me.

I love people, I really do

But why am I always afraid

I'm not really part of them?
