End of year reflection
01. Song of your year? Shane's song of the year would be *Wrong by Zayn ft. Kehlani. He legit just heard this song in December but it's been his favorite since.
02. Favorite musical artist/group you started listening to this year? Shane just started listening to Chris Brown? That may be surprising that he's been around for ages.
03. Movie of your year? Shane's top movie is Avengers everything. That is all he really watches.
04. TV show of your year? Shane doesn't watch too much tv but when he did he always found himself turning on some reality garbage show.
05. Favorite actor of your year? Shane's favorite actor of the year would be his usual go-to Hugh Jackman.
06. Best month for you this year? Why? The best month for Shane would happen to be last August. It was the last month he spent with his parents before they passed away.
07. Something that you made cry this year. Shane lost both of his parents in a freak accident. His entire world has been shook.
08. Something that made you laugh this year. On April Fools Day Shane is a prankster. He posed as a girl who his best friend had a crush on and sent him some random texts messages playing the part. Catfish, much?
09. What's a bad habit you picked up this year? Shane, unfortunately, picked up smoking pot to cope with his depression. He never did that drug prior.
10. Did you take any vacations this year? Shane did not take any vacations this year as he was busy traveling for work.
11. Any regrets this year? If so, what are they? Shane only has one regret this year. That is not being there the night his parents passed away. He'd take their place any day.
12. The moment you could re-live over and over again this year. If Shane could relive over any moment this year it would be the last time he told his parents he loved them in person before their passing.
13. Favorite place you visited this year. Shane's favorite place to visit was California.
14. A valuable lesson you learned this year. Shane learned that life is too short and to keep those close to him, extra close.
15. Did you fall in love? Out of love? Shane has not fallen in love or out of love though he is working on loving himself again.
16. One thing you wished you could say to someone this year. Shane wishes he could tell his parents he loves them one last time.
17. Your favorite meal/restaurant. Shane's favorite meal is everything Italian from the local Italian restaurant next door to his apartment.
18. Your favorite color(s). Shane's favorite colors are black, grey and white.
19. Did you keep any New Year's resolutions? Shane did not keep any New Year's resolution except keeping up with going to the gym several times a week.
20. What are you excited about for next year? Shane is excited about getting his life back on the right track and getting himself out of the rabbit hole he fell into after losing his parents.

Cinnamon Whiskey Sangria Recipe
Ingredients
750 ml red wine
1 cup cinnamon whiskey
1 cup apple cider
2 apples cut up
1/2 cup simple syrup optional
Instructions
Stir the wine whiskey, and apple cider together to combine.
Taste it before possibly adding in simple syrup.
Add the sliced apples and serve!

"Okay, who spiked the eggnog?"
Every year it was the same song and dance. A Christmas party was inevitable and it was a must. The last thing Shane wanted to do was attend anything having to do with anyone. Everyone knew he was having the hardest time recently in his life after going through his parents' freak accident that took both their lives. But, Shane knew that he played an important role where he worked and it would be sh/tty if he didn't go. It wasn't a formal function thankfully because dressing up wasn't really in his nature unless he absolutely had to. So his attire was his typical pair of distressed ripped jeans, a hoodie and a backward cap. Once he was ready to split his apartment he felt the worse bout of anxiety come over him.
His palms were sweaty and he hated feeling that way. It wasn't something that he had ever dealt with so at this point, he wasn't even sure what he could do to even help himself. Or if he even wanted too, for the past few months he had fallen into a deep depression and he just felt like giving up on this f/ucked thing called life. Shane left his apartment and made his way down the block to the highrise building that he worked in. Forcefully greeting people that he recognized as he entered the building, apparently, everyone was arriving late just like him. The party was being held on the top floor which had a balcony that led outside; which was great so Shane could do what he does best and walk away and avoid everyone.
He quickly made his way through the room and shook hands with his fellow employees as he passed by. Most of those knowing his situation and how he had been for the past months always took the time to check up on him and make sure he was at least doing ok. It was nice to know that at least someone gave a sh/t about him. Shane turned and looked over his shoulder just in time to see someone he was good friends with walking over to get a drink from the bar area they had set up. Shane followed her over and took a sip from the glass he picked up. His first thought being. "Okay, who spiked the eggnog?" It reeked of alcohol and he knew right away that it wouldn't take very many to get Shane buzzed.
