Humph! That may be so, that I have other duties to attend to, after my military career. I have no idea the nature of his procedure either, I am not a doctor. However! If I was too late to see you before you reached your death bed, how would I feel? *He sighs, and forces himself to calm down* I understand your predicament, and I accept your apology. But for future reference, don't assume that you don't matter to me, or that I don't care for you wellbeing. I know that not long ago, we were only coworkers, but those days are over if you'll allow me to presume friendship. Even so, perhaps it's out of a need to make up for so many lost under my caretaking while a General, but I don't need to lose one more. I still keep up with them, those who lived, those who came back. I write letters to them.

Clinton art I did a little while ago. I wanted to work with just red in this one, minus his eyes. Get a feel for how I want the character to feel and look. I think I got him to relax well enough. It's not accurate 100% to his character how I play him, but he's been developed a bit more in several recent scenes, which this drawing predate. He's missing his epaulets in this picture - that was actually accidental, but it works with continuity, since he doesn't keep his rank after the war is finished, I believe. (But he's still got all the attitude of a General, and he hasn't shed his coat just yet)

That's understandable, sir. I've spoken to Mr. Tallmadge, and he's given me the same advice. I suppose if it's two against one, there must be some wisdom about what you're doing with him. Though, if we are not military anymore, that no longer makes him my subordinate...

He does have his shortcomings, as much as I hate to admit. But they're personal, and not related to his skills and abilities. Though I might be retreating from this particular front, if there is no-one else in the world who has his back, then I am surely dead.

Well - I've got previous plans for dinner later tonight, but I'm available for the afternoon. There's a nice paved path that swings around the park; it's well kept. Would a walk suffice? It's a nice warm day out, bright sun, slight breeze. Hound-hunting is out of season, too, so there's little chance of being bothered by a loose canine! I should get to exercising more myself; the physician says the stiff muscles get less bothersome with use

Here with me, so far as I know. I'm only partly aware of my own surroundings, sometimes, myself. It's a little confusing sometimes. If I get startled, I tend to forget things like that. Loud noises are a nasty culprit. But, here we are, and I suppose that's as good as it will get. Good to meet your acquaintance, Mr. Bourgeois.
