The blog dedicated to my endless love and admiration for my home region in Turkey, the Black Sea region. This blog is about everything from Hetalia to any book that the mun is interested in, so be on the lookout. Here; I post my lovely personified province characters, history, poetry, arts and run a personal blog around that circle of thought. I hope you enjoy my content, thank you!
/somehow kind of functions as an ask blog and a personal blog, don't hesitate to ask anything to me or the characters./
Because the kitten we recently adopted is unfortunately saddled with tons of diseases I'm forced to earn some urgent money for her vet visits and medicine, the expenses are way over our budget and I'm afraid she might not make it. Since this is a dire situation I'll be keeping the prices as low as possible, if you're interested in commissioning me please send me a DM!
(payments will be through bank accounts, PayPal sadly doesn't work.)
the general price is 10$ per colored sketch, additional characters will cost 5 more dollars. For non-colored sketches 5$ will suffice, additional characters will also cost 3 more dollars.
little kitten needs a lot of help and attention, at the moment I'm bringing her to the vet daily for her to get her medicine and get her condition under control. I'm afraid her mother abandoned her and she wasn't fed enough to develop well...the medicine and shots she has to get daily cost an ungodly amount of money by Turkish standards... Any support would be greatly appreciated!
so we decided to make a discord server out of nowhere, it’s mostly about Black Sea and politics stuff so it’d be nice if anyone wanted to join! :D we’d like to meet new people
Isn't what happened to Şebin just tragic? Imagine being an independent woman who's prospering by running her own business one moment, and getting married off to your own employee and losing most of your rights the next... At least that's how I see it😕Giresun really needs to make his wife happy
Also! I've been drawing some consept sketches for Sivas (Şebin's older brother and Trabzon's old time rival) he's gonna have a huge role on the wider story so, it's honestly high time I introduced him fıfhfjfjf we're getting there!!
Samsun and Trabzon being the two capitals of the region makes them natural rivals, while Sinop and Amasya just watch knowing that they're the lawful capitals fknfjdnrkrnr
Remember the time I mentioned I find more and more ways to divide Giresun? Yup, it's another one of 'em.
Okay hear me out, even though dividing Giresun between the north(aka Giresun proper) and the south(aka Şebin) I feel like there are also a lot of differences between west Giresun and east Giresun (proper)
(North) west Giresun includes only 3 districts: Piraziz, Bulancak and Giresun city. I don't know if Keşap would count since it's so interlinked with Giresun city but I added it to the East for simplicity's sake.
(North) east Giresun includes: anything east of river Aksu in Giresun city all the way to the Trabzonite border as well as Dereli (which is actually geographically west but culturally east) and anything north of the Şebin region.
West Giresun is closer to Ordu, is more developed and urban with a population of 213K (mostly in Giresun city). The Giresunian culture isn't very active here because of urbanization, but the culture is shared with Gülyalı and Ordu city.
East Giresun's population is more spread out and also more rural with cultural conservation. Basically the pinacle of the Giresunian culture. Traditions matter more and education is relatively low, their population is 167K
I honestly don't remember if I introduced Chveneburi before but it's Chveneburi!!!
Aka muslim Georgian immigrants from Georgia between the 19th century and early 20th century!
I feel like a lot of Georgian nationalists are really interested in the Laz people, which is understandable they're both Kartvelian after all, but Laz people don't seem to care much about the Chveneburi nor the republic of Georgia😕 but I find them to be extremely cute!
Chveneburi and Georgia giving love and attention to Laz💕
I’ve been running this blog for a while now, and the whole idea of characterizing provinces and ethnic groups etc. has been with me for nearly 5 years now and I don’t feel like I’ve achieved much on here, mostly because my motivation has been waning a lot recently. Especially this year, I didn’t post much here at all but that’s not to say that I don’t care about this place...
I guess, to an extent, I can’t find it in me to draw anything new when there are other things that I’m passionate about aside from all this Black Sea stuff? Not to mention my motivation for drawing is more and more focused on larger illustrations rather than simple comics and sketches to accompany my explanations
Aside from that, I can’t help but notice that when I’m not actively interacting with people about cultural differences and the like, I can’t focus on internal Giresunian conflicts at all, which might be more of a blessing than I realize. I’m aware that most people who still follow me aren’t from Giresun and don’t know nor care very much about the iota of a difference between coastal Giresunian districts (lol)
So long story short, I’ll probably try to focus more on this place but not necessarily on Giresun, I’ve been interested in the ethnic OCs recently so, hopefully I’ll be back with some new stuff about them!
