The Ducati aesthetic🤌🏻 Since getting my first bike in September 2017, I’ve always made long journeys which usually involve me strapping bags to the back of the seat with bungee cords and wearing a backpack as well as a big weekend bag across my shoulder. I would look like a packhorse on wheels, but even then, the thought of adding a top box or luggage rack never crossed my mind because I always considered them to be an eyesore. When it came to my trip around Devon and Cornwall, there was no way I could have carried the sheer amount of bags and clothing without using a luggage rack. I spoke to Ducati, and they obliged by fitting one to the Sport Pro. I won’t lie; I was nervous because I always thought that rear racks ruined the bike's aesthetic, but Ducati has done a pretty good job with this design. What I love about it the most is that when you look at the bike's profile, the rack continues out at the same angle as the seat. It seems like a natural extension of the bike, and you can follow the flow of the bike from the handlebars, down the tank, to the lowest point of the seat and then back up again. It’s one smooth, uninterrupted motion. The rack has a limit of 5kg, so I had to be selective with what I could put on there, but overall it was an excellent accessory for the trip. If you use a rack, do you exceed its weight limit, or do you stick to it? Day 1 with the @ducatiuk Scrambler 1100 Sport Pro left me with aching cheeks from laughing and smiling. The first 160 miles were done in Active mode (think sport mode with a ridiculously responsive throttle) and were a blast. Whether it be motorways, A-roads or winding country lanes, the Sport Pro felt more than capable on all of them.
