"Do you just so happen to be a dwarf with a bigger heart and, more inappropriate humor than your brother?... Of course, I wouldn't know. I had rarely interacted with the rest of your company."

Fili chuckled under his breath and looked up at the elf. “You’ll find few dwarves who have bigger hearts than Kili. And few who make more inappropriate jokes about curses. He told me about that conversation.”

Tauriel looked over at the dwarf, the blond one who had spent most of his time with the oddly tall dwarf. "I do not mean to be standing in your way, either. I must keep my forest safe, and keep strangers out. I did not mean, it in any other way..."

"Nothing I really was just on my way" Fíli murmured and looked up to the she elf. He was not really sure what to think of her. "Excuse me Lady Elf if you feel bothered from me in any way."

Tauriel smiled genuinely at the dwarf. She was happy to hear him speak, whisper or not. That's the little that made her heart feel warmed. Her eyes looked elsewhere as the two brothers reconnected. The blonde trembling with happiness, as he laid, still a little weak, on the table. It was a touching scene, but it wasn't something she should be staring at. It was their moment, time for them to reconnect.

"Looks like you get to keep that promise of yours..." She mumbled gently, as his brother let his arms drop from him. Fili, his name was. And this was Kili. Yet, she had yet to call him by his name. Her hand gently brushed up against his and she smiled. "Would you like some water?... It'd make you feel a lot better..."

"But you still did…" Kili whispered silently, offering her a weak but genuine smile before he found his arms full of a trembling blonde, an understanding smile litting his lips as he hugged his brother back as much as he could, which was not much with the strength he had left.

The thought of dying feared Kili, he was not ready to die in a place like this after all, not here. If he as going to die, he would die in order to protect those he loved. This was an oath he had promised himself since he was a child.
