Another thing is that when this aggression started, we were so worried about winter and how displaced people in tents will survive it. Earlier this week the temperature in Gaza hit 38 degrees (100 Fahrenheit) and we are now wondering how will displaced people survive the heat in those tents.

I rly hate the Satanic Panic & the moral panic surrounding violence in video games in the 90s, coz it's now impossible to talk about the social implications of violent video games in a realistic sense.
No, violence in video games does not create serial killers in the way most people imagine it would.
However, it's very important to notice how after 9/11, a lot of violent video games pivoted their content from silly gratuitous cartoon gore to more realistic military shooters set in the Levant from a US American lens. It's also important to notice the connection of these games & their toxic online multi-player voice chats to Gamer Gate in 2014.
It's obviously not as black & white as it was presented in the 80s & 90s, I dont think everyone who played early Call of Duty games is a white supremacist who wants to join the military to kill people in the middle east, but I think it's dangerous to pretend like video games or any media can't have an impact on the way people think about violence.
I think what makes all the difference here is how that violence is portrayed, what the message behind it is, what the motives are behind the people who crafted that message, who the victims of that violence are, how they are portrayed & the greater cultural context that surrounds it.

The rb > like thing to me isnt about clout, but its qbout just encouraging people to be a bit more interactive on the site. Of course you don't have to say snything in the tags, but if you have something innyour mind you want to say, its a thousand times better than not saying it at all to the artist
I've started to get over the whole "likes are terrible" thing, even if it still annoys me it doesnt hurt me. I just wish people spoke to me more on this damn website

First you procrastinate on the task because it is not a big enough deal to get done urgently. Then you procrastinate on the task because it has become such a big deal that doing it is overwhelming. You would think that this implies a middle point where it is just big enough of a deal to get done easily, however the inherent perversity of the universe's causal geometry prevents this

i believe in the prime directive (the idea that you shouldn't tell eggs that they're trans) in the sense that like. if someone is really, really deep in the closet, especially if you don't know them well, telling them that You Know can wig them the fuck out. being in the closet is hell, but when you're in it, it can also feel like safety or a layer of defense between your anxieties and something you're just not ready to confront about yourself. basically, shit can backfire if someone isn't ready to hear it. i've seen it before. not saying that this is universal, but it is a consideration.
also there's a HUGE difference between "hey, have you ever thought about gender stuff in a personal way? because some of the things you say remind me of dysphoria" and "you're trans i know you're trans I Can See You :)" you know what i mean? the former is like extending out a hand for someone to grab onto if they need it and the second is like dumping a bunch of ice water over their heads and demanding they swim

im noticing that for a lot of americans “free palestine” has been an ideological motto and symbol rather than them actually believing in their heart that freedom is attainable and necessary

this is such a non-issue but truly no greater tragedy than seeing a piece of media furryfied and they've made your special guy the wrong animal. like that animal does NOT align with the themes in my little guy's story, do it again.
