no, but really

i spent a good few years of my life forcing myself to go out and places alone, just because i was scared to go alone, but had no friends

at the start i was literally scared of just getting out of my house (unless i had to go to a specyfic place, do a specyfic thing i knew how to do and then go back straight home, but just wandering around tge town was my worst nightmare)

but having no friends ho could go with me more often than not, i fored myself to go out first just to walk around for a few minutes and then to go places (sometimes holding back tears, but i did)

and it helped so much!

somewhere at the beginning of highchool i really wanted to check out this semi-fancy sushi place i've never been to, but having changed schools very recently, the only 2 friends i had, that i could possibly ask were in different cities, so i (somehow) went on my own

i felt like i might just have a heart attack with how fast it was beating, but the sushi was really good, and i probably would've never gone otherwise

so do it scared and do it alone! you don't even know how much sushi you're missing

also, my tip for doing a lot of it was blasting fast/angry music in at least one earbud/headphones at all times, so loud i couldn't hear my own anxiety

people are saying do it scared, but you also gotta do it alone. you'll miss out on so much you want to do if you wait til someone will do it with you. do it scared and do it alone.
