“Yep. Scariest thing in here, me laying on you.” laying of course, definitely not snuggling.Keith faced him but didn’t quite look at him, “I am okay though, really.”
Keith stayed still as Shiro worked on him, “Fine.”, he wasn’t above complaining. “I did.” he moved a little to let Shiro see he wasn’t lying,  “Bigger pieces don’t stay in when you run yourself though a window.”
Shiro stopped and blinked, comprehending. He calmly leaned back up, dug out some forceps and a small light. He flipped Keith over onto his stomach and sat down directly over his hips. “Hmm, bad choice of words. Now you’re going to sit still until I know you’re not full of glass and other fun things.”

Keith laughed and pushed up close, "No promises." then his face quirked in thought, "I'm kidding just so you know. In case. Yeah." Keith looked down and shrugged.

Keith rolled his eyes, but didn’t flinch away from Shiro’s probing, just waited for him to be done. Then immediately rolled over and tugged Shiro into cuddling distance. “I’m owed this really.”

Keith grumbled “Shiro” but it didn’t stop him, so he just went along with it, “I’m really not, but fine.” he stretched to show as much of his back as he could, without ripping anything of course.

The mission hadn’t exactly gone well. It hadn’t gone badly either, but definitely not to any definition of well.  You lost that some time around the second explosion. But Keith was home, so it was alright, a safe place to curl up and hide under a blanket while he decompressed. It just would have helped if he remembered to go to his bed instead of Shiro’s.

Keith rolled his eyes and didn’t even blink when Shiro  ripped off te bandage and sprayed the wounds, “I’m still here, It’s alright.” Keith grabbed for the bandages so Shiro didn’t have to do it. “I got it.”

Keith couldn’t exactly lie about the wounds, but he tried, so the best he could do was frown and say something along the lines of, “It’s only bleeding a little.” despite bleeding a lot.

Keith started to formulate some sort of argument about the bleeding out, but for once managed to quit while he was ahead. “I’m fine enough. Really.” he stayed still as Shiro asked.

Keith grumbled something along the lines of “I’m fine.” but pulled off his armor anyway. There were two somewhat large patches on his side, More than Shiro was probably expecting, or maybe less. Who knew honestly. Keith gestured vaguely at his wounds, “See? They’re fine.”.

Keith shrugged, “Slapping a bandage on it is looking at it.” he curled as close to Shiro as possible, then bumped his head against Shiro, “Blade. Technically. Is it a blade if it’s broken glass? ... Nevermind.” Keith curled back up without even thinking about it.

Just because he'd thought about a not combat related way of harm didn't mean he did it. Keith kept himself from jerking away from the touch to his wound and shrugged. "It went bad. It's like that sometimes."

Keith shrugged but didn’t try to keep Shiro from looking, sure he was bleeding, but it was not that bad, and bandaged. Was it technically a stab wound? Yes, but he wasn’t actively dying so it was fine. “Not badly.”

It was Shiro, he couldn't just say he was keyed up. But at the same time... It was Shiro. He had to say he was keyed up. So instead he just patted the bed beside him before pulling the blanket back over him. "It's just a mission, it's fine" Sure Shiro could usually call bullshit but maybe it wouldn't work this time.

The moment the blanket moved, Keith was reaching for his blade, so it was a good thing he wasn’t wearing it at the moment. Because stabbing friends is frowned upon, even if it was an instinctive reaction. Without a way to defend himself, and with a way to feel safe, now that he understood who was near him, he just rolled over. “Hey,”
