A resent ask made me remember something:

If Starliner were a movie, I can picture Cruel World by Active Child as the opener, and Not Broken Anymore by Blue October as the end credits song.

The opener for Legacy would be Oats in the Water by Ben Howard. (No ending song yet for obvious reasons lol)

But these three songs make me think of your comics!

It also brought this little premise for a story in mind that I may work on. MK finally gets the halberd (2.0) rebuilt thanks to the help of the generals. In return he, jecra and garlude decide to take supplies to an outpost 400ly away. But a certain baby ends up stowing away followed by his two adopted siblings.

Would you compare Meta and Galacta's relationship (after their first encounter of course) similar to Kirby and Meta's relationship? Like does Meta look up to Galacta like Kirby looks up to Meta?

In this AU not at all haha

Those two, particularly at the beginning, are like two angry cats trying to pass by each other on a fence

Meta Knight was much older than Kirby when he met Galacta, not in the best circumstances, and even though Meta Knight was fighting to die in that first fight, he still hates losing.

For the first few years they keep running into each other, it's hissed insults and taunts and jests and brawling until they grow irritated enough one of them leaves. MK wasn't a part of the GSA, but their mutual hatred of Nightmare was enough to keep them more on the same side than not.

Eventually it turns into reluctant respect for each other, more fights, more taunts, more fights, into oops crap that idiot is going to get himself killed and that's my job now I have to save his ass.

It takes a long long time, but they go from I will stab you in the face if you so much as look at my funny, to I will only let you fight next to me because everyone else is a backstabbing moron.

That last changes as MK joins the GSA and Jecra and Garlude and general proximity to nicer folk turn the puffball softer.

They end up as I will die for you pals, but in like an I will complain about you every second about how stupid you are kind of way. They are not the same as Jecra, Garlude, and MK's friendship with each other, it's harsher. But it's no less deep or important to either of them.

Ha it's hard to explain. They are good friends that also occasionally beat each other black and blue. But like. For fun.
