Funko Old 🆚 New
Iron Man returns to get the comparison treatment, but this time, it’s MCU themed. Our first released Iron Man Funko Pop for the MCU comes in the form of Iron Man #11 from the Avengers line. With the basic Pop pose, I have always loved this one. The bulky suit was always a personal favorite and it is perfectly captured right here. The Mark VIII Armor is such a great, classic suit and makes for a badass piece. On the newer side of the MCU, we have Iron Man #467 from the Avengers: Endgame line of Pops. With the slick, smooth Mark LXXXV Armor, this piece stands out in ways that are almost opposite of the other. The simple pose makes this seem like an Iron Man that is ready for action. With such a powerful suit, this Pop could’ve only been improved by having him using his shield or any of the special gadgets that were shown in the film. This week is a tough one for me to pick from, but I might go with #11. Which do you guys prefer? Classic or new MCU Iron Man?

Loki E6
The end is here! Loki Season One wrapped up today with incredible implications for the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Although I had a few issues, this was probably my favorite Disney+ show so far. I look forward to seeing what happens next and what goes on in Season Two! Also, of course Kang shows up while my first appearance is at CGC and all I have is the 1st cameo appearance of Mobius🤦‍♂️ Still a great looking comic🔥 What did you guys think of Season One? Where does it rank against the other Disney+ shows for you?

Earth One🌎
Batman: Earth One is part of a graphic novel series which reimagines our favorite DC superheroes, but in a more modern setting. This series has brought some very interesting stories into the universe and have given us some great alternative designs, such as the Earth One Batman suit. With the additions of Superman, Wonder Woman, and Green Lantern, it’s only a matter of time before we see Earth One Justice League. Have you read any Earth One graphic novels? Which DC character would you like to see take the Earth One treatment next?

Meet Marvel’s Mutants☢️
X-Men first premiered in theaters July of 2000, making it 21 this year. In a time period before the Marvel Cinematic Universe or the DC Extended Universe, superhero films were not the cultural icons that we know today. This is one of the films that began pushing superheroes to the top of the box office and ignited the X-Men franchise to burn bright for years to come. While it has some cheesy moments in hindsight, this is still a ‘marvel’ous movie and it still holds up to this day. While it’s not my favorite of the franchise, it will always have a charm about it. I’m thrilled Funko decided to make a line dedicated to the characters depicted throughout these films. This is a series of Pops that I had always hoped for and love collecting. What did you think of X-Men? Which characters do you want to see brought into the MCU?

Black Widow Spoiler Review🕷🚨
After years of waiting for a solo film announcement and even more years of waiting for the pandemic to calm down, Black Widow finally premieres in theaters and on Disney+ yesterday. I booked my ticket for Thursday night as I was very excited for this film. Black Widow teaming up with her sister Yelena to fight one of my all time favorite Marvel villains seemed like another great MCU film to join the ranks. With a strong opening flashback, it seemed that it was going to be just that, a solo film that felt just as awesome as the rest. It was soon after that that I was unfortunately wrong.
The story was set around the return of Dreykov, the leader of the Red Room operations, even though we had presumed him dead in the now famous Budapest story that was teased since the Avengers (2012). This was probably the biggest flaw of the film and produced most of the other flaws. We’ve heard epic stories about Budapest and the events that unfolded between two beloved heroes, but all of that instantly loses interest when you discover that not only was the mission a failure, but it also takes away Natasha’s motivation for doing good in the first place. The film pushes Taskmaster, one of Marvel’s greatest villains, to the side as just a mindless henchmen in favor of making Dreykov the main antagonist. With no powers, no skills, and being already presumed dead by all fans, this was a huge let down.
As for highlights, the addition of Yelena Belova and Red Guardian were fantastic as expected. They felt right at home in the MCU and I cannot wait to see more of either one of them. Additionally, the fight scenes with Taskmaster were incredible. The moments when he would use Black Widows iconic moves against her made her feel like her comic counterpart.
In the end, this felt like a back door pilot in a late season CW show, leaving it feeling rushed and less than stellar. While it’s not a downright bad film, it probably sits as my least favorite MCU film as of now. What did you guys think? I’d love to hear your opinions to see if I’m just crazy or if you guys agree!

Black Widow Premieres Today🕷
Black Widow finally premieres today! After years of waiting, it’s time to finally check this out and meet Yelena Belova. In the comics, we first got to see Yelena in Inhumans #5 from the Marvel Knights series. As the newest badass assassin in the MCU, could we see her take the place of the fallen Black Widow in the aftermath of Avengers: Endgame? Will she meet her end in this film? Today’s the day to find out! Will you guys be seeing this in theaters or on Disney+? Let me know in the comments! Make sure to come back after watching to tell me what you thought!

Funko Old 🆚 New
With Black Widow on the horizon, today we take a look at some Black Widow Funko Pops. The first time we got Natasha in Pop form was Black Widow #42 in the Captain America: The Winter Soldier line. This mold sticks to the standard Funko format, but adding some guns into the mix. I am personally not a big fan of this one as it makes her look incredibly small and awkward looking. With much room for improvement, our newer Black Widow Pop is #603 from the Black Widow film line. This Pop captures the character in a much better fashion. You can really appreciate the style of this piece in comparison to the old one. Even though it isn’t very flashy, it perfectly represents the character and does a much better job at recreating this icon. Which one do you think is better? Let me know in the comments!

Loki E5
The end is near for season 1 of Loki and the story is ready for its climactic finish. With the addition of new Loki variants, we see that too much of a good thing can quite an incredible thing! Featuring Kid Loki, who first appeared in Thor #617, it seems the Disney+ shows are still laying the seeds for a potential Young Avengers team-up in the future. With a final struggle coming next week, how do you think this will all end? Which Loki variant has been your favorite?

3 More Days🕷
The Red Guardian will make his MCU debut in Black Widow this week! David Harbour, of Stranger Things fame, dons the mantle of Russia’s Star-Spangled Protector. As a Russian version of Captain America, it should be very interesting to see how his nation, and the world, view this hero. With such a great actor behind it, I have high hopes that Red Guardian will be a stand-out and be the Drax of this new team. Hopefully in the future, we can see him team-up with Captain America. Are you excited for Black Widow? What cameos are you hoping to see?

4 More Days🕷
Black Widow finally premieres in theaters and on Disney+ this Friday! After over 2 years of waiting, the MCU film franchise will finally continue with a long overdue installment. The most anticipated aspect of the film for myself would be Taskmaster, a villain that I have always enjoyed reading and seeing as a foil for many Marvel heroes. With the ability to mimic the fighting techniques of anyone he encounters, it should surely be an exciting adventure to watch him go up against Black Widow. Are you excited for the movie? What are you looking forward to most?

The Amazing Spider-Man🕷
9 years ago, Andrew Garfield took over the mantle of Spider-Man when The Amazing Spider-Man premiered in theaters. With an intriguing start, this film restarted the universe and had some firm foundation to produce a successful franchise. The Lizard was a decent villain and could have eventually become something of an ally in future installments. Unfortunately, it wasn’t really given the chance after a disappointing follow-up. With any hope, the rumors are true and we might be seeing Garfield return in the upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home. I would love to see this happen as DC has shown, in Crisis on Infinite Earths, that revisiting old franchises are always fun and interesting for fans. Do you think we’ll see Andrew Garfield return? Did you enjoy this film when it premiered?

Iron Spider Returns🕷
From the first look at Spider-Man: No Way Home merchandise, we can now see that the Iron Spider is returning with some slight changes. Met with mixed feelings from fans, I personally like the suit and understand why it’s around in such a wide universe. I would love for Peter to acquire additional styles throughout his upcoming romp, like the black and gold suit that has been revealed. What do you think of the Iron Spider suit? Which suit do you want to see in the MCU?

Funko Old 🆚 New
Cap is back this week! After finishing up the classic comic style line last week, we’re now starting the Funko Pop Avengers (2012) movie line with Captain America #10. The first film inspired Cap is great in my eyes. A huge improvement from the comic style just a few numbers back and it really captures the suit straight from the film. From the first movie Cap to the last movie Cap, Captain America #573 jumps directly from the screen to the Avengers: Endgame line of Funko Pops. This has to go down as an all time favorite Pop for me, with the broken shield, the lightening, and Mjölnir in hand. One of the greatest moments in the film easily became one of the greatest pieces in the entire Marvel Pop collection. Although I think it’s an easy choice this week, what do you guys think? Does classic Cap beat out Endgame Cap?

Loki E4
Loki ramps up this week, even adding a post credits scene to really add to the action. With only 2 episodes left, things are going to get downright insane in the home run of this series. I am loving the multiverse implications of this show and the future chaos it might cause in the MCU. I’m curious which version of Loki we will end up with once everything is over, could Tom Huddleston stick around for future endeavors or will a variant take I the place of permanent Loki? What do you guys think? Who would you want to be Loki going forward?

DC Pride🏳️‍🌈
Couldn’t let Pride Month end without showing off this gorgeous cover for DC Pride celebration. The Nightwing series has steadily been putting out gorgeous, must have variant covers and this one is no exception. The Travis Moore art on the cover makes it an exceptionally perfect piece of art to showcase this month. What are some of your favorite pride covers? Have you enjoyed our pride posts this month?

Happy Pride Month🏳️‍🌈
The Merc with a Mouth brings representation to the pansexual community within Marvel Comics. Easily my favorite Deadpool Funko would be the newest Pride Themed Deadpool #320 as the rainbow makes the character pop and edits his suit pretty darn well. The back of this box also felt special enough to bring special attention to with a reminder that Funko proudly supports Pride and has even donated to a great cause, with the It Gets Better Project. I think the box puts it best when it says, ‘At Funko, FUN is for EVERYONE!’ Have you picked up any of the new Pride themed Funko Pops? Who are some of your favorite LGBTQ+ superheroes?
