new medical company called me and said that they weren’t sure if they had the funds to hire me, but they want an interview and want me to show up in person when i graduate, said i had good all around experience, and that id be a really good fit for their new product line-

or at least over scared

one guy got back to me and said he would call me today at one company, and the guy i knew that i used to work under said 'send me your resume' so im assuming thats a good thing because he said there's an opening in sutures which is his division so-

#i dont know if he's a team lead and can decide 'yeah i want him' or not but #he is a senior engineer with 8 years of experience and 4 years at that company so #hopefully good signs-

i will not be getting a job with my company

they did some stuff that i don’t fully understand with their budget and they have to cut ~$3 million in spending, and on Wednesday the laid off 35 people, 25 from their other location and 10 from my location

my boss fought to keep me on as an engineering intern so id have something, so its experience, even if its $17 an hour which is.

man im an engineer i deserve more than that-

but regardless, my boss called me and gave me a list of other places he thinks are good to apply to, said he’d happily be a reference, said to look again at my company at the end of the year if i wanted to, and

thinking about the fact that my company hasn’t given me a job offer and worrying a lot

if i don’t get a job there i have to try to network my way into another company that probably still wouldn’t accept me, and if that fails i have to either apply to other med manufacturing companies which only have listings in like, Michigan and Washington, or figure out where the fuck i would wanna work that’s not med manufacturing and im worried about being locked in to a different field because of the different standards and

why can’t my company just give me something im already working for you technically and you gave me like 50% less than other interns do at other companies at similar sizes man ive worked for you for a year now and unless everyone was lying they want me there and see potential in me…

just had an extra credit assignment for +5 points on our exam grade, it was to redo a problem that i guess a lot of people got wrong

i got it right, so i just copied what i did on the exam and resubmitted it since they wanted us to redo our problem, and mine was correct, so-

#free 1% to my final grade i guess #now i only need an 18% to pass the class #on the final
