Just to clarify, I don't think that loving someone for what they do for us is a bad thing, it's actually quite human (it's in our nature), but I also think that we should love them for what they are too. The selfish part in my opinion is doing one without the other. Ray needs to learn to see people for who they are ( both the good and the bad side), love them for who they are, and apreciate what they do for him without letting that apreciation be shackles that binds him. And most importantly, he also need to learn to see and love himself, for better or worst

Unpopular opinion, but I really want to talk about this since it's been on my mind a lot (please dont come @ me😭):

I think that Ray is a very selfish character, at least in regards to his relationships. The way I see (and the way a lot of people do too), Ray isn't really in love with Mew as a person, he loves Mew's love for him, the fact that he cherishes him, his attention, because Ray didn't have that growing up, so once he started recieving it, it was a done deal for him. We don't see him doing the same for Cheum, and definitely not Boston, probably because it was Mew who, on top of actually saving him, spent time caring for his wellbeing, as well as affirming his love for him both verbally and with acts. Still, I don't get the vibe that he loves Mew for Mew. For his personnality, his characteristics and traits, good or bad. He loves Mew's care, feels posessif about it, and wants it for the long run. And sadly, the same thing applies to Sand, at least right now. He likes that he saved HIM, that he abates HIS loneliness, that he gave HIM pleasure, etc. Not his actual character ( a hardworking talented singer who loves his friends and mom, openminded, who has dreams and tries his hardest to achieve them on his own etc.)The only thing he might like about Sand as a person (for now) is his body. That's why when Mew was encouragin him to date Sand because he seems like a good/cool guy, and then Ray said that he wasn't his type, I think he was being genuine. He truely doesn't think that Sand is his type because he doesn't see him as a person (yet), but more as what he could do for him. And then, when he finally starts getting to know him, when he starts seeing some parts of Sand's character a bit during their day together, it wasn't enough to really sink in. There wasn't enough time, and it was overshadowed by lust, by Boston and by Mew. Hence why up until this episode, Ray's perception of Sand as a character is still very superficial. He mostly sees him as a man struggling financially (and I think he looks down on him a bit in that aspect) willing to do anything for money, and a good lay. That's why he always looks for a way to initiate sex with Sand, and in his moment of anger, when all his inhibitions are down, he treats Sands as a "whore", an easy person who would sleep with him for money ( he disregarded the fact that Sand never asked him for money after they started being friends, he actually got angry when Ray tried to use his money to "buy" his friendship. He also disregards Sand's dream, his passion etc. Telling him he only looks for ways to earn money, the easiest bbeing sleeping with him). I suppose afterwards, Ray and Sand are going to spend time together, with Sand taking care of him. And without Top/ Boston as a threat, maybe Ray can finally focus on Sand as a person, not only as his caregiver.

Do you guys think that maybe Boston is the way he is because he might subconciously emulate his dad?

-Relationships are just a mean to an end, be it friendship ( friends are a way out of loneliness, people to party with, a group to study with etc. But nothing deep and meaningful) or romance ( your romantic partner is just someone you'll have sex with, and you can sweeten them with nice words or fake gestures, but again there is nothing deep to that, no notion of love or mutual respect?)

-It's acceptable to do things to hurt others as long as you get something out of it, but the other way around is inexcusable (the take video without consent for expl) etc.

Do you think Boston's mom divorced his dad because of this? And since Boston is living with his dad, he was influenced by his actions, and started subconciously repeating the same pattern?
