i also think that the way people on here talk about protests is sometimes needlessly fearmongering like it's always good to have your wits about you and be aware of dangers from cops or counterprotesters but also i feel like a lot of people on here have become convinced that by going to a large peaceful protest march they are taking their lives in their hands which is just simply not the case (the point of those events is optics and showing that a lot of people are willing to show up for the cause) and i'm worried it might be deterring people from actually showing up to protests

Sometimes I feel like no matter how much I want to be better the version of myself that I like is just out of reach. My fingertips are touching hers but I can't quite hold her hand yet. I've realized that I have never once been in a healthy romantic relationship ever which is difficult to come to terms with but not nearly as hard as realizing Ive become so conditioned to trauma at the hands of people I trusted that when someone treats me with even the barest bit of kindness or tenderness I don't know what to do with it even though I want it..even though I know there's a part of me that deserves to be loved softly and with compassion my immediate thought when someone actually does it is to be on guard and suspicious because in my previous experiences people who do that dont actually mean it. It's a weapon a way to convince me to let my guard down and let them in until they've peeled back the layers and layers of scar tissue left from others and realize that actually that's all there is anymore...at my core I am still that 7 year old little girl who's terrified only now I wrap myself in my trauma like armor. People don't want to be with or around someone like that.. because you can't just love away that many years of repeated trauma no matter how hard you try..and you can't manipulate me with it either because what could you do that hasn't already been done. I wear my scars like my favorite jacket they are comfortable because they are intimately known and are exhaustingly familiar. Realizing that I crave love that was never truly given because I was never truly seen as my whole self and that I may never have it because I don't know how to accept a love that doesn't cut me or come with strings hurts more than any physical trauma I've ever had.

All throughout childhood, while my peers were socializing and making friends, I studied the blade read so many books that I am now almost legally blind, which left me with vast and deeply instinctual understanding of English grammar - and next to no ability to explain how it actually works. Friends will often ask me to proofread their writing and then get very mad when I say things like, "You need to completely reverse this sentence and cut this clause entirely; no, I'm sorry, i don't know why, I just know that the way it is now ITCHES 😭"

Now, what I want to see is a fantasy story where this plays out with MAGICAL grammar. Someone from a backwater town deeply steeped in folk magic arrives at Wizard Uni where all their fellow students are like "What do you mean, we should add another '𝞯∘⋇𝞿' to the incancation because it 'sounds better'? What do you mean, 'it could just be a regional thing'?? WHAT DO YOU MEAN, 'THIS SPELL JUST FEELS LIKE IT NEEDS A LIVE RAT'????"
