do you use/create a reference for the anti aliasing color gradients you paint or is it just from your brain. like do you look at a pixelated version of your original image (is there always an original image)? the pixels are all so accurate

I always print out my references which is soooo important to me because low quality printers really enhance/blur/desaturate the pixels and colors in a way that’s a super helpful guide but also doesn’t allow me to zoom in like on a phone so I’m not actually looking at the pixels in the most accurate way which allows me to have some freedom and create what I want to see to an extent

Thanks I get intrusive thoughts about wanting them all gone a lot but idk what I’d do without them because any time I’ve tried covering them I feel so weird so I just end up getting more instead so I have something new and pretty to distract whatever I don’t like lol
