What brand of trash bags do you buy
Here’s some that I’ve tried that I like:
Kirkland Outdoor (Costco) Black: thick, shiny
Ruffles Pro: more of matte finish, feels a bit silky
Husky drum liners (black or clear): light, silky and stretchy.
Berkley Jensen (BJ’s club) 55 gallon clear: similar to the husky clear
HDX (Home Depot) extra large black (45-55 gallon): light, silky, stretchy: feels similar to the Husky
White: Normanco 55 gallon. These look and feel great, only white bags this size that I’ve tried/found. Star seal.
Silver: coastwide/Brighton 55-60gal 1.7mil (eBay). Only silver bags like this that I’ve tried/found.
These aren’t my #1 favorites but they were fun to try (and maybe I’d buy another box sometime):
Do-it hardware drum liners. Ace hardware drum liners (not the extra thick ones). Handi-Bag XL (Kroger).
Some things to look for:
55 gallon will fit over most adults and an average chair. If the bag has a flat seal, you can close it around the neck by tying the two corners of the bag. If the bag has a star seal (the white and silver on this list do) you’ll make a head hole below the seam and seal with tape. The 55 gallon bags are often called “drum liners”
39 gallon will fit over the knees of adults that wear medium or smaller clothing. This can give a nice tight but comfortable fit. You won’t be able to tie the bag shut but you can use tape to close the neck. These are often called “lawn and leaf bags”. I’ve bought these in various store brands (1.1 mil) (including Amazon basics) and they feel nice and slick stretchy and silky. Hefty does silver in this size.
I usually like bags in the 1-1.5 mil range. This gives some stretchyness while not feeling too thin.
I’ve experimented with “contractor” bags, these tend to run around 2-3 mil, and around 42 gallons. They’re alright but they weren’t my favorite. The plastic is more stiff.
Where to buy:
Home improvement warehouse/hardware store, Warehouse club, Hardware/janitorial department of supercenter, some grocery stores.
Didn’t like:
Nice! (Walgreens): the bags are crinkly, and have large printing on them
Steel Coat drum liners (Meijer, also Walmart?): thin, rips easily, didnt like texture.
Family dollar stopped carrying the ones I liked around 2019. Never was interested in the ones I’ve seen at Menards, but I did get a roll of clear plastic sheeting (1.3? mil) that made great plastic capes

This amazing blue vinyl cape was discontinued; however there’s still some available on eBay, for a limited time (while quantities last) for $25.
Also, this video, “Barbers Just Want to Have Fun” is available on HaircutCinema.com; he gets a shampoo, and multiple progressively shorter cuts by one of Chicago’s top fetish barbers. A must see!
