"Special experiences– that's certainly one way to put it," she snorted, not bothered by the wording but finding it funny enough to point out all the same. "I suppose it is. It's not like we planned it or anything. I feel like most of us professors have a fair amount of overlapping interests though– funny how that worked out."

"I doubt that would be what I would call it anyway. It's not as though time with you is ever wasted. It comes with its own special experiences." Because the woman was always a pleasure to be around and he enjoyed their interactions. "Probably not. That is what we get for working together."

"It's not about agreeing or disagreeing here. At least not for me it isn't," Trinity shrugged. "Too much in this world is about money. Honestly... pretty much everything is. So it's all about shifting your perspective to make the most of things. Not let the bitter and sad reality of the world diminish the way you experience life, you know?" She decided to offer up an example to make her point of view a little clearer, "For example: you could argue that buy gifts for people because Christmas is a capitalist holiday that encourages excess consumerism and all that. But you could choose to also see it as buying gifts to make your loved ones happy and see the looks on their faces– am I making sense?"

"Maybe. Who knows. Today isn't the day we'll be finding out however." He said with a little laugh at the idea. "Are you saying you disagree that companies don't cash in on things like this? Because that's exactly how it looks."

"Right? They're just the superior cookie. I don't know what it is about them– but they're incredible," Trin replied with a laugh. "All cookies are delicious though, you're right there."

"Ugh, I love snickerdoodles. They might be my favourite cookie and that's a very hard statement for me to make since I love all cookies."

"I'm sure they'd suit you just fine," Trin replied. "But if you don't feel comfortable, there's no point in forcing that either. At the end of the day it's up to you what you want to wear," she shrugged her own shoulders in response. "Well aren't you a cynic?"

"In reasonable doses, yes." He answered when the woman asked him if he liked color. "As for my wardrobe, that'd probably draw too much attention at this point. Besides, I am not sure that it would suit me." Aaron explained with a little shrug of his shoulders. "I feel like there is always an excuse for everything, especially the things that earn more money."

"Of course. And when that time comes, you can bet I will be there with bells on," Trinity promised the other with a smile. She knew that Maeve was on her own timeline and she would be respectful of that. All she wanted to make sure of was that Maeve kept moving forward instead of stepping back. Anything beyond that, she let her best friend move at the pace that felt comfortable for her. "I've got no doubts that he is," she replied with an air of nostalgia to her words. While it was not to the degree that Maeve did, she also missed the man in their lives. "So what do you feel like doing now, Mae? Tell me."

"I do know that." She confirmed, because Trinity only had her best interests at heart and the little pushes that she gave her sometimes were what she needed. Especially when she got stuck in her head. "I'll keep that in mind, I promise. But maybe not for tonight. Who knows, a couple months down the line I might be asking you to take me out on a town and be my wing woman." She chuckled before feeling a little teary eyed at the others words. "I hope he would be, all I want to do is make him proud."

"They better be someone pretty damn special then," Trinity smiled back warmly at the other. She would be lying if she didn't want that for herself some day too but she didn't want to bank everything on that either. She knew she was an acquired taste. "You deserve to have an incredible life partner. Never settle, yeah?" she added, giving him a playful nudge.

"There's nothing wrong with changing your mind. That shows growth." Elijah spoke simply, giving a little smile. "Me? I suppose you could say I'm a bit of a romantic so I wouldn't mind finding my life partner. I played around a lot when I was younger and it's fun but its not the lifestyle I intend to keep for my entire life." Every other facet of his life, Elijah felt like he was content with.

"I couldn't dream of pulling you away from your wonderful travels," Trinity replied without hesitation. She'd always been envious of how much of the world he'd seen. "No, I guess not," she laughed. "So it wouldn't be too much of an adjustment for you then."

"Indeed. I imagine there are worse things I could be doing with my life however but it would stop me from travelling which as you know, I am a big fan of." He answered, chuckling softly. "Not too dissimilar to a normal day for me then?"

"You might as well presume I'm on my deathbed if I ever say no to cookies," she laughed, joking to highlight her enthusiasm about their next move. "I think I'm craving something snickerdoodle-eqsue honestly. You?"

"I know I can always count on you, Trin," April said with a beam and linked arms with her, "Now come on, I kinda want cookies. I hear the ones at the bakery down the road are very good."

"Well do you like color? And would you be willing to introduce more of it into your wardrobe?" Trinity asked rather simply. "It's much like when people make everything red and green for Christmas– it's fun and seasonal. It's only a limited amount of time that you can do it so... why not?" she shrugged with a smile. "It's just in good fun."

"No, I'm not afraid of it but I've been told I don't have a lot of colour in my wardrobe. Besides, don't you think they overdo the use of pink on a day like today? Who needs pink biscuits and pink bread? It doesn't do anything for the flavour and I don't think we'll forget what day it is just because they didn't add red colouring to something." He explained with a shrug of his shoulders to explain the reason why he was so bothered by the colour.

"Okay maybe. But anything beyond that and I would lay off, you know that," the brunette gave in with a laugh, but still wanted Maeve to know she respected the other's boundaries when they were firmly placed. "Please, you flatter me far too much, Mae," she insisted fondly, reaching to give her best friend's shoulder a squeeze. "If you're sure. The offer from me doesn't have an expiration date but I also get just wanting to do your own thing," Trin replied with a vague nod. "I'm proud of you for coming to this thing in the first place. The bracelets are a whole other step I'm also proud of you for. I'm sure Connor's proud too."

"I believe there are levels of my protest that you'd push before respecting my wishes. I know a simple, I'm not really feeling like it would receive some pouting and a little bit of whining." She couldn't help but tease, she knew she didn't need to worry with Trinity when it came to her boundaries because the other woman was very clear of where they lay and when to push and when to not. "Say's the ethereal looking goddess in front of me." Maeve pointed out. "I'll be sure to do so, but my arm might get a little tired by the end of the night from all the pointing I'm going to have to be doing." She smiled. "But really, you don't need to worry about me in terms of looking for someone. The band on my wrist was as big of a step as I was planning on making tonight unless something feels right. At one point I had a pink held in my hand as well as a red, but I'm proud of myself for opening myself up to possibilities."

"I don't know about spotlight, it's not exactly celebrity status but... I get not wanting to be in the center of attention. It's not for everyone after all," Trin respected with a nod of her head. "I hope I didn't make you uncomfortable though. That's never my intention."

"Yeah, I'm totally not like that," Jamie replied. He spent a lot of time at points trying to deal with people who weren't so nice to him, all the people who made him feel small. "Sometimes it's hard to be in the spotlight, there's too many people that see you."

"You're very right. I believe we could be stuck in this vicious cycle of compliments forever if someone left us to our own devices," Trin laughed back in response. "Me? Well you'd probably just come with me on my day-to-day, no? Classes, charity shops and the like."

"I'm sure I could say the same of you. I suppose neither of us are short on the compliments." She was always so sunny and so Jackson never tired of her company. "I am curious as to where you would end up taking me though." He said with a laugh.

"I'm not sure," she admitted with a soft hum. "Perhaps it's better I keep that a mystery, even to myself. I wouldn't be surprised if it's something I change my answer to a lot too," Trin added in amusement. "How about yourself? Have anything in particular in mind?"

"No, no I can't." He agreed with a warm smile on his face. There was something just so optimistic and positive in Trinity that made him always enjoy he company. "Is there anything in particular you wish your time line would hurry up on?" He asked after a moment. "Though I suppose you're right, the wait is often the best part."

"I can't imagine completely forgetting," she admitted. "Although I suppose that's different for people who didn't grow up around magic," Trinity then acknowledged. "That's sweet though."

"I guess you're right on that, I still don't know how they deal without magic honestly. I know a couple muggleborns who sometimes forget they can use magic for some things, heck, my Dad forgets that he can use magic for certain things."

"Are you really one of those guys whose afraid of pink? Come on, aren't you a little old for that sort of thinking?" Trin scoffed, unimpressed by his response. "But sure, you can choose what drink you get."

"It depends. Is it going to be pink?" Aaron asked with the slightest smirk. "Because I don't think that's really my style, do you? But sure, why not. I think I saw some options over there that looked decent."
