shipping c!beeduo, c!clingyduo, or c!benchtrio IS weird.

even the whole "characters not cc" like okay yeah but that characters looks, personality, and like everything abt them is based off the cc (most of the time.)

I have been thinking and the way people have been so casual about Tubbo’s inevitable kidnapping. Because, while it is kind of funny, it is also very tragic.

All the islanders know what the federation is capable of at this point, what horrors they have already inflicted on their members and how they are not even hiding it anymore at this point.

And here comes Tubbo, this bright-eyed enthusiastic engineering kid who had only recently been defrosted. The moment he was awakened, he started testing boundaries, to see what he could do. First out of curiosity, out of sheer wonder of what this new world had to offer. But he kept being denied, being told no, that he was going too far without being given a good explanation why. Then that passion for science became pure spite with it all coming to a head with the eggs' disappearance. From that point onwards he dares to cross any boundaries, any limits that the federation laid out. Daring them and defying them, and now even coming up with a plan to kill Cucurucho. He has nothing to lose and no one seems to care that he is so careless with his life.

The islanders have accepted that any of them can get kidnapped at any time, that even though they might not like the rules, there is nothing they can do about it. They immediately realised what danger Tubbo was in and they accepted it. Teasing him, making jokes about it and even now with an active arrest out for Tubbo, they still do not take it seriously. It is inevitable after all, so why should they not remain apathetic to it.

Meanwhile, Tubbo is actively spiralling down, his attempts to piss off the federation becoming more extreme with Cucurucho's hatred for Tubbo increasing each time. Never has Cucurucho shown such despise, or even had such an obvious emotional response, for any of the islanders, not even Cellbit. And Tubbo has only been on the island for one week but he is already too dangerous for the tranquillity of the island. Too observant, too smart and too curious. So when - not if - he gets kidnapped, who knows how far Cucurucho will go to make sure that Tubbo will stay in line...

realistically, i don't think tubbo would ever let his character experience a kidnapping arc unless someone drags him away from that damn computer, but because of this his existence on the island is so comedic. like anybody else wouldve gotten got by now in some way, shape, or form with all the federation-annoying things tubbo does, but he hasn't. he is a weed in cucurucho's carefully maintained front lawn and they've just run out of weedkiller. he is the jerry to cucurucho's tom, even.

i never watched the dsmp finale so for me c!tommy and c!tubbo are alive and well and together and took baby michael and moved far away from the greater smp and all the bad memories it held. right now they are off having adventures and healing and even though things are rough from time to time, they are happier than they've been in ages. the nuke never went off and while the hurt hasn't healed from all they've went through and maybe it never fully will, they are together, and in the end, maybe that's enough.
