I just watched the TMNT Batman crossover movie, and it was fun and all, but I couldn't keep myself from pausing all the time to screenshot the numerous instances where Donnie would hide in his shell throughout the movie
Holy shit, talking about brains and brawn again cuz just rewatched the movie and can we talk about The parallels between them both sacrificing themselves to save their younger brother????
Ok I know Batman vs tmnt has been out for a while now, but there was something I wanted to talk about pertaining to the movie. Mostly because no one seemed to care but me.
But why is no one talking about the female character design?
It's on point! Let me break it down
Batgirl: Comfy/ Batsuit
Civillian is wearing a comfy crop top, and comfortable pants, her hair is even practical
Batsuit has FLAT boots and is divided up to give her freer movement. Her hair is down but is out of the way
fought only male villains (that's a buggy to me) and even fought the joker
Harley Quinn: Costume/Prison/Mutant
All of these are very practical without any skin showing
even her mutant form is created without making her a sex object (if you've seen any depiction of her in Suicide Squad or Arkham games you'll understand
she respects herself enough to not listen to the joker until he calls her DOCTOR. That was something that always bothered me with then 'Nurse Quinn' scenario
Poison Ivy: Prison/ Mutant/ Costume
Even though she's wearing a tank top, it's not overly busty. Even in her costume it's not excessicly revealing
Her plant form was made to look like a plant and not a 'sexy flower' (again, see the Arkham Games. Or comics )
Every one of the female characters weren't put in the movie to be sex objects, but to be characters they were strong, independent and wore clothes they could fight in
WHO EVER DESIGNED THEM (Steven Choi)
WAS DRINKING WOMEN RESPECT JUICE
