I can’t help but feel like I accidentally manifested something terribly scary for the Touhou fandom while I was working on this series of drawings the past few weeks. Please forgive me, I only want the lesbians to make it out of this one ok 🥲

(For those of you who haven’t heard yet, there’s a new Hifuu cd being released soon and the hints we have gotten don’t bode well for our precious gals)

oh yeah that new free silent hill that suddenly dropped one day is pretty ok

the first half to one hour of dialogue is pretty unbearable but after that threshold i went into a trance-like state with the rest of it because i got really interested in the story itself beyond the dialogue

plus i appreciated that it actually paces the story, let's you digest it and unrolls as you continue, i was fearing it would be all vague nonsense that gets plainly explained to you for 20 minutes at the very end but that turned out not to be the case

it's been long enough since pt and the looping hallway boom that i don't mind the short message following a similar trail in its gameplay (and i think the short message might've been constructed from conceptual silent hills leftovers, but that's not something i can wholly prove)

would bbe nice if this was a sign of sh as a franchise be allowed the breathe fresh air and try new things, the old games will still exist after all

#i liked how it taked from shattered memories and sh4 #maze chases and being set in another town respectively #i still lament how sh's origins as a love letter to classic paranormal american horror gets downright forgotten about #that and a mass misconception abt sh2 and how it deals with the subconscious instead of everything being willful manifestations #anyways !! hope it can get weirder from here on. i want to be cautious but optimistic
