i posted this on instagram but a lot of the examples Are from tumblr so i feel like it’s appropriate to put it here too. to reiterate my instagram description:

i am a person of color, however not jewish. i had a friend who IS jewish help me with the antisemitism talking points, as while i was looking for screenshots to reflect the racism problem, i saw a lot more antisemitism than i was comfortable with (read: any at all). i feel like this is a good time as any (sooner and not later) to let this out, as it’s been bothering me for a while. i did my best to articulate it in an easy-to-understand way.

something i did not include is the note that people will overlook characters’ bigoted actions (such as griffin being an antisemite in the book). i didn’t think it was quite appropriate, as this post is about real people and the problems with that i have seen myself; and i believe that it would feel like it was derailing from a more real issue.
