She was surprised, to say the least, to find the infamous war criminal on Earth, the last place she'd expected to find him wandering around after the event in Manhattan. She had always known that the odds were never in her favor, but never did it occur to her that it would go so far as to place her so near to the God of Mischief.
"Loki?" she swallowed nervously, her invisible arms sprouting from her back, ready to attack should the deity be hostile with her. Although, she might as well attack and kill him now. He deserved it, didn't he? "My name is Lucy, and I--I was just looking for shelter."
ultimate-diclonius is now following you.
…Yes ? -he asked calmly, his expression equally as blank as his tone while he eyed the woman in front of him- The name is Loki, do state your business with me.

"Then you've miscalculated," she deadpanned. "I'm guessing you had little idea of what Earth had in store for you." Her invisible arms stretched towards the deity, encircling where he stood, but she was careful not to touch him. She was feeling smug, oddly enough, despite her better judgment that igniting the fury of this man was a very, very bad idea. Perhaps, she just missed being challenged--the thrill of it all.

Banished? Exiled? Then why to Earth, of all places? It seemed more like a punishment to the human race, rather than to him. "How could I not? You're quite infamous after your stunt in Manhattan."

"Let's not be too hasty," she said, the smirk falling into a straight line as she folded her arms over her chest. "What's in it for you?" It seemed all too suspicious--a demon suddenly comes in and then offers her help to achieve her goal? It was all too good to be true, and she very well knew that good things were scarce in her case.
For a moment, she merely stared at his hand, and she couldn’t believe herself for even considering his offer. He was a demon, and judging by how quick he had dodged her attack, how he had seen the hands that sprouted from her back, he was powerful—powerful enough to help her achieve her goal.
She managed a smirk, and a grim chuckle. “We’re talking about the entire human race here,” she scoffed.

Lucy managed to reach an alley way. She would have gone farther, but her legs were beginning to give away. She was far too weak, too sick, too tired. She placed her hand on the wall for support as she panted heavily, face now dirty with blood and sweat. She rid herself of her wig, carelessly throwing it aside as it was starting to make her feel hotter and constrained. She no longer cared that her rose-colored hair was revealed for everyone to see. In this day and age, outrageous hair colors like hers weren't as unusual as before.
As her breathing started to even out once again, she let out a heavy sigh as she leaned her back against the dirty wall and slid down onto the ground. The stench of rotten food and dead rats was sickening, but this place would have to do for now. She just needed a few minutes of rest is all.
Silverwing || ultimate-diclonius
He was sitting at table at an outside cafe, legs idly crossed with a paper grasped between his hands. That’s when he felt it. A shifting in the air, and then came the screams.
If he expressed any sort of surprise it was because he did not believe that anything would happen. After all, Ragnarok could not be that close at had, could it? But no, it was not that at all. Instead, head turned to find a girl standing in the midst of a crowd of frantic mortals. Screaming and desperately trying to get away. There was a body, sans head, falling to the ground, and in that moment he could see them.
As long as he had been alive, he had come to be able to see much, and what he did not believe he had seen were those….. things…. like hands, that sprouted from the girl’s back.
But then they were gone, perhaps in a shimmer of glamour, and she was running away.
Oh no, this was far too interesting to simply ignore.
His movements after that were easy, as if he had seen nothing at all. He closed his paper which no longer interested him, uncrossing his paper as he set it down on the table before him. He placed a hand on the table, leaving it there long enough to summon the bill and few coins before he removed it once more. He stood, leaving the paper where it lay next to the half empty cup of coffee he had been drinking.
Then he was moving, his strides just slow enough, and he slipped into the crowd of people on the sidewalk. It was rather easy, as he was moving in the opposite direction as everyone else.

"Demon?" Now, that didn't seem right at all. Never had she heard that these beings existed. Then again, she wasn't one to talk.
Her jaw tightened, and her fists clenched at her sides. She wanted to say that whatever she was was none of this demon's business, but she didn't feel right about not returning the favor. "A...Diclonius."
{☣}—That smirk of her’s played itself on the demon’s features at the other’s question. “My answer is the same as your’s,” concluded Mareo, ignoring the fact that her entire statement was based on an assumption, “No.”

She gasped inwardly, knowing full well of that cursed name, the name of the man that had planned to wage war with the humans, only to be defeated by the so-called Earth's Mightiest Heroes.
She'd seen him on the television, the newspapers, the memorials for the people that had been killed because of him (not that she cared)...
"So, it's you," she breathed. "You've returned?"

“You think me so stupid as to accept help from you?” she snarled, though she couldn’t help but be a little curious. Help her how, exactly? She was doing fine on her own…as far as she knew.

She looked away in embarrassment, but could anyone blame her? Acts of kindness from these humans were little to none. She only returned the favor. "G-Gome--"
'No. Don't apologize,' whispered her instinct. 'Kill him. You are merely delaying the inevitable.'
That nagging voice in the back of her mind had been quite loud lately--ever since Lucy's kills had began to go scarce. No. It wasn't because of her growing compassion for these cursed beings, but because she simply found cutting them to pieces unnecessary sometimes...at least, that was what she wanted to call it.
She cleared her throat. "I want nothing from you," she stated coldly. "Now be gone before I--"
'Kill him.'
"Sh-Shut up," she whispered harshly as she lowered her head.
Well, judging by her interest in him, he suspects he has managed put off his immediate death for another time. Still, her threat remained far too serious for him treat her as he would any other teenager. He would have to carefully tread around this one.
Upon closer inspection, he takes note of the girl’s lovely features. Intense glare and threats aside, she certainly was not someone you could easily lose in a faceless crowd.
Then again, he thought recalling the ominous manner of her greeting, she was probably not someone you would want in a crowd, period. The peddler’s hand noticeably did not leave his weapon.
“Ah… well, my wares sell well while dressed like this. You see, it attracts people, especially in foreign lands…” He pauses a moment and methodically select his next few words, “…however, this is the first I have attracted such… malicious attention.”

“Tengu? A…demon?” Impossible, she thought. There was no such thing. But then again, she wasn’t one to talk, either. For all she knew, she could be a demon, too. She contradicted his smile with a frown. “W-What do you want with me?” It was clear to her that he was toying with her—the smug look on his face, the shameless flirting… It made her want to kill him all the more.

Her eyes narrowed at him in suspicion, and her vectors quickly sharpened at the ready. Her instinct screamed for her to just kill him right then and there…and rarely did she ever ignore it.
Without a second thought, she darted her vectors towards the stranger like bullets.
