Jangmi lowers her gaze to take in the sight of his subordinate picking up the human remains scattered about. A chill runs through her, her stomach feeling as if it had been dipped in ice-water, turning nauseatingly. Her hand flies up to clamp over her mouth when she retches, unable to get the mental image of how that person met their fate out of her head. He says she should know what's coming to her, but she really doesn't. She has ideas, of course, but it's hard to predict which one he'll be partial to.

Mostly, she just feels numb--like this can't really be happening. Her eyes snap up to his, but she cannot determine his intent by searching his gaze. There's only the slightest bit of relief that he won't be devouring her. (If it were a quick death, like slaughtering livestock, she might be more inclined to die.) Jangmi lowers her hand as the nausea finally passes and she shuffles forward. Once she is closer, she kneels before him. Jangmi has the feeling that he wouldn't take it well if she continued to stand while he sat.

His words confuse her, and she blinks a few times in rapid succession, brows tensing. "I... I don't understand. Am I going to be your servant?" Her hands grip the front of her skirt tightly while she imagines having to pick up after his meals, like Uraume.

"Of course I am. Surely you know that the whispers and murmurs of your family, and the vacuous sheep you call a cult sent you here for a reason. I am not just legend, or your common boogey-man used to scare children at night. I am very much tangible."

Listlessly the King of Curses shifts in his spot on the ground, Uraume making quick work of cleaning flesh and bone around him from the last sacrifice handed to him. Eyes peer on the small figure before him, emptied yet full of hunger and promise.

"Surely, you know your fate to come. You are nothing but a sacrifice from those you called a family. Do you feel betrayed? Heart-broken? Perhaps you knew all along this was your fate. How unfortunate they did not take care of you properly; yet I am in no mood to feast as of now."

A hand raises, beckoning her forward.

"From now on, you are mine. You belong to no one but me. I care not for your name or your sob stories. You will do as I say, or you will be gone regardless. Do you hear me? You are free to speak, respectfully of course."

Someone like you shouldn't exist, and yet... here you are." Certainly, she also fears him. Her hands tremble at her sides, and she curls them into loose fists to stop it. And there is despair, too, because she's only a semi-grade one sorcerer... She has no hope of being able to best him in battle. She has the slightest chance of escaping him, and that's only if he's very sloppy.

"Is it one of fear? Of despair? Knowing your eyes look upon the one who has surpassed those of petulant Jujutsu Sorcerers, and curses alike? Is the air one of renowned regality, that you stand before the one who holds the title 'King of Curses'? What is it in your trivial mind that makes you think standing before me saying such ambiguities would not make me carve into your flesh before you can utter a sound?"
