Feliz día de las madres

No soy de celebrar este día... porque creo que más allá de ser un día comercial, uno tiene todo un año para demostrar su afecto a su mamá. Sin embargo, creo que a pesar que todos los días son especiales (o deberían serlo) o el segundo domingo mayo se lo reservó para recordar la labor impaga de una madre. Algo que desde ser un hijo (varón) nunca sabré qué se siente, no obstante, Tengo una madre viva, y dos mujeres que son mis hermanas que saben qué es ser mamá. Una mujer que decidió soportar de entrada con mucho amor el desgarrador dolor de gestar y parir un hijo, naturalmente o por cesarea, empujarlo a la vida. Luego, entender el clamor del llanto en una hora de madrugada y el dolor de la mordedira de pequeños dientes en sus pezones para dar alimento a su criatura, despegarse de él o ella para que vaya a su primer día de clases, y correr a la escuela porque se rompió la cabeza, el codo o una rodilla. Incluso, la conducta malagradecida que podemos tener cuando nos sirve una comida que mucho cariño nos preparó aunque ene l fondo odiáramos ese plato y jamás agradecimos con el mínimo gesto de agradecimiento lavando platos, o diciendo: "gracias, mamá". Hoy, que aún tengo la oportunidad de decirle mami, que a pesar de nuestras diferencias en método, forma, pensamiento o espiritualidad, las bases de lo que soy, tanto en salud, pensamiento y moral, se lo debo a usted y a mi padre. Y aunque muchas veces, ya de grande y estando consiente jamás le dije gracias por ese pan horneado, esa colada caliente, esa taza de leche tibia, ese par del calzoncillos limpios, ese almuerzo a tiempo, ese Radio Cristal para levantarme y no llegar tarde (igual lelgaba tarde), esa puteada o regañada o chanquetazo... Gracias por todo, por todo, por todo lo que ha hecho por mí, mis hermanas y sus nietos. Sin usted, mi vida no hubiese sido la misma y sin pruebas pero totalmente seguro, hubiese sido más difícil. Gracias por hacer más llevadera mi vida, y aunque aún no entiendo su forma de preocuparse por mí aunque ya soy un hombre adulto de 33 años, gracias por igual estar aquí, preguntándome, soportándome y aguantándome. La amo, mamá. Y a ustedes, hermanas mías, que aunque no sea perfectas (who is truly?), en su momento con su consejo, abrazo, cuidado, apoyo o soporte, fueron (y son) hermanas y madres desde que tengo uso de razón. Gracias por estar acá, y perdónenme si jamás les hice saber a tiempo cuán valiosas son las dos para mí. Las amo a todas, feliz día de las madres.
