His question had her smiling not the usual playful, almost knowing smile that often rests on Vivian’s lips, but a genuine, almost endeared on instead. For all that she and Rae were open with each other, they weren’t always the best at voicing their feelings; certainly not in such a blunt way, one that left no room for doubt about their intentions. “That’s the most romantic thing anyone has ever said to me,” she couldn’t help but joke, but the look in her eyes made it clear she was but jesting, that at the end of the day, she wanted the same thing as him.
Her hand settled on the back of his neck, gently tugging him forward to close the distance between them. The way their lips meat wasn’t impulsive, but deliberate. There was no hesitation in her kiss, in the gentle curve of her lips as they formed a smile against his. “I think we got a nice audience for that one.” Her voice was quiet, her tone audibly playful. “But if you’d like to give it another go...”

There’s something about science that’s so enticing for Lena, like astrology. People who create and discover things are incredible! Already she’s forgotten about the shirt that was ruined and she scurried through Honey’s laboratory staring into various beakers in awe.
She perks up suddenly. “ Tungsten and flerovi– fleroviumen “ She blows air out of her mouth. “ Honestly, Honey, I wish I could be like you. “ She beams. “ I know a scientist ya might get along with really well actually if you don’t mind hair people o’ course! My mate Winston. He’s the one who made this thingie ‘ere. “
Lena taps the chrono accelerator in her chest a few times. “ T’ keep me from zapping all over the place! He doesn’t do stuff like this though. Different quests maybe? “ She hums. “ What made you want t’ get into chemistry, Honey? “ Lena asks, puppy eyes aglow and head falling to one side.
"Oh!” Lena’s kind words are met with an endeared smile. “That’s so sweet but!!” Honey makes a dramatic pause for emphasis, before a more encouraging smile shows up on her features. “You’re already pretty amazing just being you.” Words that could be easily misinterpreted as being empty, but Honey was nothing if not honest. Even if Lena didn’t have the same knack for science as she did, Honey knew she exceled in many other things.
The chemist perks up at the mention of a fellow scientist. “Really? Oh, that sounds so great!” She’s all but bouncing up and down now. “I’d love to meet him even if we work in different areas, I think it’s so interesting to talk about our projects.” It was ultimately a learning experience; not to mention Honey loved meeting new people in general.
“Ah, it was actually... my dad.” Her expression becomes less giddy and more thoughtful. “He got me my first science kit when I was four he says I was really into this kids show where they taught basic science experiments. And that I wouldn’t stop begging him to get me one.” She giggles at the fond memory. “I just love getting to break something down to its components and understand just how it works, you know? The more I learn, the more things I can do with those components.” There’s an excited glimmer in her eyes, usually present when she starts running her mouth about her work. “Science is just... so amazing! The possibilities are endless!”

"Why would you assume that’s what I want?” Her brow quirked upwards as she watched him, but there was a hint of an amused smile on her lips. She knew very well the meaning behind Cullen’s words they weren’t the kind for labels, or even admitting they could possibly want more out of this. Yet Zoya couldn’t let him go on thinking there was something wrong with what he was bringing to the table.
“Peace is misguided why do you think I joined the Second Army?” Zoya flashed him a crooked, bitter smile. It was ironic, a soldier who did not believe in peace. But it was because of all the terrible things in her life that she knew that could never be achieved. “I’m a fighter, General. As are you.” She took a step closer to him, chin tilted up to shorten the height difference between the two. “I don’t think we could ever have something as boring as peace between the two of us.” Thank the Saints.

"tsu-chan...” she’s used to her friend’s candor, for the most part. she knows tsuyu always speaks her mind it’s a trait ochaco appreciates and values. but when that honesty uncovers vulnerability, it catches her off guard. not the fact that tsuyu has such feelings, but that she misses HER of all people. “ i’m sorry.” while her tone is certainly apologetic, there’s a smile on her lips. she doesn’t want to see her friend looking so sad anymore she should give her a reason to smile instead.
“i’ve been training pretty hard lately.” with their lives constantly on the line, they haven’t had much time to be actual teenagers and act accordingly. “but i miss spending time with you, too.” ochaco scoots closer to her, almost a little sheepishly. “you wanna come over to my dorm? i have snacks!” she adds excitedly, sounding more like her usual bubbly self. “maybe we can watch a movie or something.”

“Only if you want to that is,” Trunks assured her, afraid that possibly he had over step. Kami he was feeling like a teenager in high school all over again. That was the last time he had been nervous about asking a girl out. Yet here he was, a grown man, out of college, the president of one of the wealthiest and largest companies in the world, and he was getting nervous about having proposed the idea that he and his secretary go out for dinner. Which was basically a first date.
Swallowing a small lump he waited for some sort of response from her. Either she would agree or…She wouldn’t. Whatever answer he got was fine. In his mind the two of them got along well and worked together just as well. He did acknowledge that this may change their relationship a little. But then he also didn’t think that he had hidden anything from her when it came to his feelings towards her. “I’ll understand if you don’t.”
"Oh no!” The word was meant to ease his worries, but the second it left her mouth, Aiko realized it probably came off the wrong way. “I mean, no, it’s okay.” She laughed sheepishly, trying to hide how embarrassed she felt over her slip of tongue. It wasn’t as if Aiko had never been asked out before but it had never been by her boss; not to mention she had no idea Trunks actually saw her in that light, to the point of actually wanting to make a move. Though ultimately very flattering, it was also surprising.
Taking a deep breath to steady herself, she was quick to flash him her usual bright smile. “I’d love to.” Aiko sounded more certain now, even if her mind was racing with a million thoughts and questions what did this mean exactly? What if it went poorly and it ruined their current relationship? Also, what was she going to wear? “I’m free tonight, if it works for you,” she said in the same calm tone, barely managing to mask her nerves.

he breathed a sigh of relief when mimi answered in her usual mimi fashion. he didn’t know how she did it but knowing she wasn’t annoyed or mad at him made him feel up for almost anything at this moment. “ we can still go out, “ he offered, ready to pay for any meal she wanted at this point if it meant that his little stint earlier would be hopefully and completely forgotten.
even though he would always prefer eating in. it was second nature for him to just eat at his computer while he worked on some new program but he doubted that would be an idea of a good time for mimi so he chooses the other choice for her.
“ what kind do you like to get? “ he asked, starting to zip up his jacket so he would be ready for new york’s cool night air.
"yush!” mimi raised her fist in a clear excited fashion. most people wouldn’t get that excited over pizza, and to a degree, she knew it was a childish reaction not that it bothered her in any way, though. mimi liked that buzzing kind of enthusiasm that she never lost even when she grew up. besides, being around izzy again made her feel like she was right back in odaiba.
“hmm, i like to try different kinds,” she replied as she stepped outside with izzy. the cold air sent a quick shiver up her spine, but it was gone as quickly as it came; mimi was used to it by now, after all. “last time i got a breakfast pizza it had sausage and egg. it wasn’t that bad.” she grinned at him. “but we can go with a classic pizza this time, if you want. like... pepperoni maybe? what do you feel like eating?”
