It wasn’t very often that Gionna was able to visit AEW’s backstage area to see her friends who had signed with them. But when she found out that her best friend was going to have a match at Double or Nothing against Britt Baker, she knew she had to be there to support her. After the match, she stayed to watch the rest of the show, wanting to see just how the AEW World Championship match was going to go. She always thought Phil was charming and wished that she could have been a part of WWE at the time when he was signed to get to know him better. She’d heard multiple stories from Dori about him, since she had the opportunity to work with him and see just how good he was in the ring in person. When his match was over and Phil was making his way backstage, she waited until he was alone to make her move, walking toward him with a soft smile. “Well congrats, champ! You were great out there!” The blonde smiled, looking from the championship in his arms up to his face. “Nine years and I’m guessing it was all worth it? Can’t win until I finally win my first championship. I can only imagine how it’ll be.”
