Combination of warm shades such as gold, wine, slate brown and teal help make a room feel both inviting and relaxing at the same time. Perhaps the most trying aspects of raising puppies are teaching them not to pee and poop indoors and stopping them from chewing everything in sight. There’s more, too.

1. Understand What to Expect During Your Puppy’s First Year

California’s Great America: To Season Pass or Not?
What good is an amusement theme park if you don’t love it to come back again and again? Many parks offer season passes for multiple returns, yet, the prices can be unattractive. We have assessed our 2022 season theme park habits and came up with a recommendation.
We decided to buy one season pass to California’s Great America as an experiment. This experiment had a financial toll because it is not a cheap pass, nor is the admission cheap, but we weighed the value this park had to us, and if it was worth going to multiple times. The park is a 1-hour drive from us, so time and gas are also considered.  We chose Great America for these reasons: 1) It is the closest theme park 2) No bridge tolls required us to access it 3) It is wholesome (deemed safe for our family)
We love that Great America’s theme is centered on pro-American values. When we found out that the park will close in a decade’s time, we considered how we wanted to support this place of entertainment and if it was worth taking our kids more than once in a season. Growing up in San Francisco, we as teenagers, had to be driven by our parents, our school or our friends’ parents to partake in Great America. So it’s not quite the easiest place to be accessing for kids.   So here’s our take. With our one season pass, we went 4 times throughout the year. The season pass has benefits such as unlimited visits for the season pass holder, parking, 10% discounts for food and merchandise, and bring-a-friend ticket prices. We compared the financials of having to go one time, or several times. This will determine if we want to do this again before the park closes. Option 1: Visit just one time in the year Day pass: $60 Number of tickets: 4 Parking: $25 Total cost for one day: $265 Other costs: food and snacks ($150), merchandise ($50), arcades ($20) Option 2: Visit atleast twice, with one season pass and bring-a-friend tickets Season pass: $99 Bring-A-Friend pass: $40 Number of tickets: 3 Parking: included Total cost for first visit: $219 (includes 1 season pass holder and the 3 bring-a-friend tickets) Cost for subsequent visits: $40x3 tickets each time = $120 Other costs: food and snacks ($150), merchandise ($50), arcades ($20). Food and merchandise are subject to 10% discount with the season pass. Option 3: Visit atleast twice, with multiple season passes Season pass: $99 Number of tickets/passes: 4 Parking: included Total cost for first visit: $406 Cost for subsequent visits: $0 Other costs: Other costs: food and snacks ($150), merchandise ($50), arcades ($20). Food and merchandise are subject to 10% discount with the season pass. Depending on how often you do plan and commit to go, a season pass does hold value. We find that we would need to go atleast 4 times if we had 4 individual season passes. We did go 4 times, with just 1 season pass and paying the bring-a-friend price for everyone else’s tickets for each visit. The bring-a-friend price of $40 would have to be used 3 times or more to make a season pass worth buying. However, on visit #4, it felt stretched for us to keep coming back.   Honestly, 4 times is a lot and we probably wouldn’t really be going this many times. We would stick to Option 2 because of our circumstance living one hour away. But if we did live closer, we would think Option 3 is worth it.

1. Safe Places to Sleep and Play
Whether you’re bringing home your own real-life teddy bear dog or a lovable mutt, you should get a playpen and crate for your new puppy. Until your puppy learns how to behave in a house, it will need a safe and confined space that it can call its own.
You probably won’t need to have this playpen for more than a year. Plus, this is seriously going to help prevent your puppy from peeing everywhere and chewing up all of your furniture.
Many people are under the assumption that a crate needs to be big in order to be effective. However, this simply isn’t true.
Your puppy’s crate really just has to be big enough so that it can comfortably stand and turn around. All you really have to do is buy a crate that can fit the adult-sized version of your dog and then use dividers to make the size more appropriate for your puppy.
2. A Good Supply of Healthy Treats and Food
Dog nutrition is complex. In fact, it might be even more complicated than human nutrition.
There are a huge variety of dog foods out there and it can be confusing to navigate. To start, ask the current owner of the puppy what they’ve been feeding it. You want to put in place a slow transition to whatever new food you choose, otherwise, your pup could experience gastro upset.

A standard leather leash should be saddle soaped or oiled so that it’s kept supple and clean.

And when you’re puppy is up and awake, they’re ready to play and explore. In order to keep your dog mentally stimulated, provide her with plenty of toys that incorporate a variety of shapes, sounds, and textures. These early interactions can make a big difference in how your puppy grows and learns.

They can even go their whole lives with a desire to chew. This is why buying chew toys is so crucial.

There are two kinds of vitamin D supplements. Vitamin D2 comes from plants or fungi and Vitamin D3 that’s found in animals. Both vitamin D2 and D3 improve the immune system, remedy fatigue and muscle pain, and help with depression.
For some people, taking vitamin D tablets is good enough. However, vitamin D3 is the only supplement most experts recommend for you to take. This is because vitamin D can’t bind to tissues well and D2 has a higher concentration than D3.
Eat Vitamin D Rich Food
Another way for you to increase your vitamin D intake during the winter is to eat meals that promote production. What’s great is that these foods are easy to get and store during the Fall season. They’re also easy enough to find during the winter.
There are many meals that can provide enough vitamin D during the winter days. Fatty fishes and seafood provide up 386 IU of vitamin D per serving, making it one of the richest natural sources. Eating mushrooms can be another source of this nutrient as they contain vitamin D2.
Using UV Lights
A UV-light lamp can become a good source of vitamin D in the winter. It can be a good substitute for the sun, and you can use them whenever and wherever you please. This is because they produce UV radiation that’s like the ones given off by the sun.
This also means that they bring the same dangers that overexposure to the sun brings, though. Overexposure to radiation for a long time can lead to your skin burning. Remember that the average usage of a UV-light should be around 12 -15 minutes.
