Photo Dump #1: @botch_band. It was an amazing and surreal experience seeing a band I’ve loved for over 20+ years that single handedly changed my guitar playing, song writing, genre/style, etc. everything. Honestly. Capturing moments remind me that my life is a series of stories with an intense narrative that I don’t always share with the general audience for the pure fact I can’t decide if they’re worthy of the inclusion and experience, or if I just feel like they will get lost in ones mind and slowly lose it’s meaning like a faded Polaroid... Some late nights, after closing the bar, dimly illuminated by the wet reflections of whiskey on the weathered wood bar top, dim lights fighting for life, moans and shifts in the old wood whispering the secrets of the fervent stories that have fallen within the cracks of floor... Across the street was an old studio. Old building. Old stories. Old tunes. Old futures... We sat in the halls as friends and I drank, chain smoked, talked, and took turns playing songs we felt so confident about, yet never heard until it left our hands. The halls drone with loud rhythms like a tribe on it’s way to a sacrifice. We lost time in that hall. Together. Yet apart. So many stories and hymns to our pagan idols and drug gods were left there to die... Until we return.
