The finished cover for the farewell anthology
I chose not to credit my social media in the book when I was formatting the PDF as it would be irrelevant seeing as nobody buying the book would care about an account that only posts hetalia stuff, rather than the indie content they might expect from a book like this. I didn’t want to use my name or my online name, so there wasn’t really anything I could put to show that I was a part of the project unfortunately.
While I am not credited, i did still contribute the Cover Art, patterned art page, and Bang Bang Gran segment of the Anthology.

It could be quite expensive to print a small run of these, it was £110 to print the recommended lower amount of books which on this website is a minimum of 25. However at  £40 difference between 25 and 100 it makes more sense to consider the higher run. We may have to think of running an online store to perhaps fund this run of the comics. If we were to sell 31 copies at £5 each we would make back the cost of printing a hundred.

The grid we looked at for table set up, we planned to split the cost four ways and each take 3 boxes away at the end of the convention for future projects.
We decided that Meg and I would have the dealers wristbands and set up the table in the morning and stay there every day with alex and chelsea taking over halfway through the day in the afternoon.
we discussed our table layout as a group and one person drew it up, so this can be found on meg’s website.

Attempting to colour the comic,, some panels were cute in colour ( the second row of panels for example,or slop’s blue self) but the black and white packed a greater punch with the contrast and occasional different  lines was more impactful. There was an issue in a friend of mine reading it not being able to tell the races of the children, but it,,, really doesn’t matter so its not a good enough reason to sacrifice the integrity of the entire comic, and shading in the children with lines would really take away from their simple designs and expressions.

Heart buttons cost £41 roughly for 50 badges, so if i sold them for £2.50 to £3 each then I could make back the cost of purchase and shipping by selling 25 of them.

My character in Bang Bang Gran uses a henry rifle, which had previously been hanging on her wall in full working order. Her family were not aware that the gun could be used.

Early logo designs, when we were first coming up with names and logos for the group. Each active member of the group put forward some different ideas and we got together to vote on which ones we liked best.

These images are all small, and were done as requests where I wanted to practice drawing small and quickly. This is due to my plans to provide badge commissions as a small extra on my table. These would be for £3, and as the art would take no more than 15 minutes I could potentially offer them as something the buyer could come back for later in the day. I have a 38mm badge maker which I would take to the convention, and practising small cute and quick art for this will allow me to offer very cute customised badges for a low but fair price.
The audience for this would be people with OCs, or people who’s favourite characters are not popular enough to find merch of easily. The ita bag fans would also be a good audience for this.

Had my housemate help colour in some business cards to see how the images translated to being printed smol and if they were realistically easy to colour in.

Cover art with thumbnails. This features the welcome sign as well as an open space to allude to the small town nature and tie together the contents as being within the same town.
I later decided to add the friendly mutant into the cover so that it wasn’t so bland and hinted more at the whacky contents of the book.

Front and back of my business card, It will be black and white on matte card, designed so that anyone who takes one can colour it in themselves. I only included the Instagram as I do not intend to run a full time store, so linking to that seems unnecessary. There is my email for professional enquiries and my Instagram for social media. This way I can update the links from my social media page without changing the business card every time and keeping the cards relevant.
10 cards would fit on an A4 sheet. Before the convention I would print 12 sheets leaving me with 120 as 100 would be a fair amount to bring, and I would like to have some spares in case I need more than I realised.
