pls tell me that Evangeline knows Henry’s master who lives overseas and assures Marshall that Henry is wonderfully dazed and happy and will remain so for the rest of his life—which is the truth—to simultaneously fuck with Marshall and assure his subconscious that his brother is not being physically harmed

it’d so much worse if Henry has been turned into a vampire while remaining enthralled and him and Marshall never meet again, but are aware of each others fates

I’m really considering this happening in the story… I do have a place where this conversation could fit >:3 and man I love the idea of it even helping to solidify Marshall’s conditioninh!!! This ask even sparked an idea for a chapter!

But oh man Henry being turned as well would just be the perfect cherry on top… I think that would be a wonderful (not really) turn of events for him!

Gosh, probably Nevan or Malak :) both of them even! They’re just such cool guys that I already love so much, I think they’d be very nice to hang out with.

I’m not super for sure because all of my writing is very disorganized, but I would say I’m pretty sure it’s a wip where Darius takes care of the thralls when Ad goes on a work trip :) I started it FOREVER ago and then basically left it there to rot… I really should go back to that and finish it!

For this ask game 

40.  Share some backstory for one of your characters

Gonna share stuff for Marshall that I don’t think will ever come up in the story :3

His father was a hunter, who was pretty much the one who pushed Marshall into that line of work almost immediately after high school, and was eventually slayed by a vampire

Since birth lived in a small town with his family where they always dreamed of moving somewhere else but never had the money

Marshall has a little brother!! Marshall is five years older :) The two had a rough relationship, Marshall bullying Henry a good amount of the time, but they did love each other dearly <3

Both brothers were hunters together

Henry was kidnapped by vampires! They never cross paths in the story, but Henry is very happy as a little blood bag off on his own with his master :) 

Marshall was pretty much a dickhead all throughout schooling, and thus never had many friends. 

Most of his hunter companions are not fond of him, so he doesn’t participate in many group bonding activities. He does care about certain people, but is very much unable to show it!

I was thinking:

Vampire who's the whumpee to a fae. The fae gives them food, soaked in blood then drained. But they have to chew the food to get nutrients. 😃 I am now obsessed with fae as much as vampires but omg.

Writing fae is tricky for me, like I don't find them as appealing sensually as a vampire. I find them scarier...But that's so cool they're so intimidating. I live for that.

I also wanted to try my hand at similar expressions of descriptions that you do because it's so cool & I think it could really fit a story like this. anon because I am skurkie-cat, but any advice for that extra pazazz of intimidation? (Darius is so intimidating like that & I love it.)

That sounds super interesting, and I’m very curious… definitely let me know if you ever decide to post the writing :) and I really agree with your perspective on fae! I also find them more intimidating than sensual :3

I’d say when it comes to intimidation, at least with Darius, I use more of an approach where the character has a lack of empathy, has control over, and is very degrading/humiliating toward others, which I feel are significant traits that can come off as intimidating? Idk…

Unfortunately anon I am extremely terrible at giving advice, and don’t really ever think about how I’m writing when I do it if that makes sense? Stuff kind of just happens XD but I really do wish you luck on your writing, and I believe that you will do great with the intimidation!

to be fair if I was all warm, vulnerable, and a lady was tracing my body I'd be making noises too. that's just me though. {I am repulsed by all forms of touch mostly.}

lemme dump my brain

I have this vision of sometime Marshall either during or after being bathed feeling like a limp noodle, skin soft and limbs heavy feeling the horrible feeling of dazed safety—to which Evangeline starts to pet him for the first time. Since he already has a sensitive scalp it’s doubled by the water, so he lets out a small gasp and tries to pull away, but inadvertently gets closer. he’s trying to fight but a pretty lady is murmuring such lovey nothings to him (activating previously set triggers lol) and he’s being touched so delicately he can’t handle it. it ends w her tracing his scars and him making such a pathetic noise to her delight

I doubt he’d fully break after this, since it was mainly due to the bath, but it would be the first step towards it. He’d probably wake up afterwards in a rage lol

Ohhhh my god anon this is so fucking good I’m one hundred million percent taking inspiration from this!!! I need to write more CBTBY so bad!!!!

I just realized that the part when Malak gets sick is the first time Malak says Nevan’s name on record—is this the first time overall or is there another instance of it? I bet Nevan would get so excited if in another instance

Wait you are soooo right about this I can’t believe I didn’t think about it…

So far it is the first instance, but I feel like I’d rather have that not be the first time as I’d like to actually address Nevan’s excitement toward it, so I’ll probably write something soon that will include it :) I have nooo idea what though…

people telling you they reread your fic is the biggest compliment you could ever receive. there are thousands of stories out there begging to be found, to be explored, but your story meant so much to someone that they came back to it eagerly, they went over every word again. to love is to return and loving a fic is rereading it. thank you to all readers and rereaders <3333
