valuespeace // satine kryze
“ You’re enjoying this far too much. “ Satine observed, watching her sister effortlessly land. It took her a few more moments before she was next to Bo, trying to shrug off the praise that was given ( as if it didn’t mean the world to her. ) She took off her own helmet, before speaking, “ I never imagined this for myself. “ she admitted. She had been the leader of the peace movement since she was a young adult. She had died wanting to continue to champion for peace. “ It took a long time to realize that peace isn’t necessarily about abandoning our heritage. “
.
“oh i certainly am. i don’t intend to take this for granted,” she said with a small chuckle, watching her land a bit shakily, but not bad, nonetheless. with a breath, she nodded, “i never expected to see it again. in that. you had made it so clear,” but she knew that was from a place of misunderstanding... something they probably could have realized if bo wasn’t so apprehensive to talking. “and perhaps... i could have listened more. taken your ideas into consideration.”

“well, i’m glad to know that i can make that list for you.” she hoped that politicians would not have quite the same stuffy reputation that they had during the old republic. it was a hard thing to guarantee, of course, but it was one of the many hopes that she held for a new era. it was something she could make a tangible difference in.
safe was always relative, but… “you, as well. i’ve heard that things seem to be moving mostly in a productive direction mandalore. i hope that you’re not here to tell me differently.”
.
bo smirked ever so slightly at her response, glad to see she seemingly understood bo’s feeling. hand resting on her hip she glanced around briefly. this was hardly a regular place for bo... even when she was alone, she had handled things largely through war-- not discussions.
“productive, perhaps, but it’s.. not much. not as much as we had hoped,” she took a breath, “fortunately, it’s not that-- luckily things haven’t gotten worse.”

valuespeace // satine kryze
“ It was easy to forget how difficult this is. “ Satine hovered over the ground with her jetpack, breathing heavily. She wanted their people to respect her, and that meant freshening up on some of her skills that had laid dormant during her time with the New Mandalorians. It wasn’t all extremely difficult, but she had struggled with her jetpack as a young teenager and it had been decades since. “ You make it look so effortless, sister. “
@xladybo-katanx / bo-katan kryze
.
seeing satine return to her armor, it was certainly entertaining for the nite owl. with a laugh under her helmet, she landed, an arm moving to rest on her hip. “you’re not the worst. definitely would get shot down as it is,” regardless, she pulled off her helmet, smiling some. “i’m proud to see you doing this. i think it’ll help you gain our people’s confidence.”

@xladybo-katanx // bo-katan kryze.
many planets had been devastated by the empire and that was an area that had taken priority for padmé since the senate had been restructured, but few came quite to the devastation that mandalore had experienced ( except for perhaps the likes of alderaan, or vardos ). the surface of the planet had already been desolate from the civil wars that extended far into the past, but the population was greatly purged out by the empire’s hand. the domed cities still existed as a baseline structure, but in many ways, it was being rebuilt from the beginning.
“lady kryze.” her posture and greeting is regally formal, though the smile contains a charismatic warmth. “it’s always a pleasure to see you. business, or personal?”
.
bo had found little joy in politics, little pleasure in meeting with politicians, perhaps less so-- but padme had been different. perhaps not quite her type-- she was certainly strong in ways she admired. as she approached, helmet tucked under her arm, a small smile was on the mandalorian’s lips.
“business, unfortunately. satine wasn’t able to make it herself, i chose the most tolerable senator,” she teased some, “it’s nice to see you safe.”

closed starter for @inspiringgreatness // ahsoka tano
even with time spent apart, it seemed the bond ahsoka and bo had formed on mandalore was one that would last. it was odd, still, for the mandalorian. the concept of having a stable friend and ally that wasn’t one of her own.
but it was nice.
it was nice to have someone separated from her people. with their own perspectives.
so, though she hadn’t seen the former jedi in some time, she was certain the loss of ezra bridger had deeply hurt her, and further, she knew it was unlikely for the woman to reach out.
removing her helmet, bo offered a small smile to her friend, “i hope you’re well-- and that coming unannounced isn’t too much a bother,” she said as she set her helmet down nearby.

head tilting, bo-katan approached the woman. she knew well enough she dealt with maul-- which meant the snake was still alive somewhere in the galaxy. helmet remaining on her head, her arms crossed over her chest, hoping to give off an impression of willingness to cooperate.
“i’m not sure i would have expected one of maul’s people so out in the open,” she said, head tilting some, “though, it’s rather impressive, knowing how many want crimson dawn destroyed.”

KATEE SACKHOFF // have you met BO-KATAN KRYZE yet? SHE is a THIRTY-FOUR year old CIS-FEMALE HUMAN. they’re originally from MANDALORE and now show loyalty to the MANDALORE. they are best known for being a LEADER OF MANDALORE, and i hear they’re pretty FIERCE yet also HEADSTRONG at times; i hope they survive the galactic civil war.
L O A D I N G : // … 2 YEARS LATER - 7ABY
unlike her sister, BO-KATAN’S loyalty to THE NEW REPUBLIC was merely out convenience. her loyalty was clearly to MANDALORE, and she knew with their fallen numbers, it was necessary alliance. that being said, as THE NEW REBULIC grows, BO-KATAN continues to feel more and more uncomfortable with her association.
in the last two years, BO-KATAN has grown more desperate that the DARKSABER is necessary to fully unite MANDALORE. knowing it’s currently under DIN DJARIN’S possession, she plans to confront him about personal options to reinstate the DARKSABER in it’s place of power.
while her sister has spent time negotiating, BO-KATAN has spent more time trying to find other MANDALORIANS, knowing small cults had grown around the galaxy.

operation on geonosis | jyn & bo-katan
rebel alliance base, [redacted]
(( @xladybo-katanx ))
jyn would be lying if she said that standing in this hangar didn’t bring up memories she would rather not dwell on, of course she had been doing missions for the rebellion here and there ever since she found her way back to them, but nothing quite like this. droid factories, how could they be up and running again? she had been preparing the ship, going over the checklist for what they would be bringing and trying not to be nervous about working with bo-katan kryze, saw had always spoken highly of her and jyn was really looking forward to working with her. but it was hard to concentrate when the last time she boarded a ship much like this one she ended up dying and losing everyone who ever believed in her. but before she could spiral any further jyn heard someone approach the ship. ❝lady kryze❞ jyn said recalling what saw had called her, jyn had been so young back then, and if she had to guess she would say bo-katan probably didn’t remember her, ❝i’m jyn erso, ship’s ready to go❞
.
bo had been surprised to hear the rebellion wanted her help-- she had quietly aligned with them, yes but... she couldn’t help but think this might have been ahsoka’s doing. turning as the woman approached, bo kept her helmet tucked under her arm.
she had known saw, she hadn’t particularly cared for the man, but their goals had occasionally aligned. and in her small amount of research in the woman that was to accompany her, she had been surprised to learn there was a connection there.
as the woman approached, she nodded some, “that’s good to know, i suppose we should get going then, if we’re to accomplish anything,” she started to step aboard, “erso, is it?”

“probably not, plus people tend to realize mandalorians can make good assets.” din knew that, if people saw him they’d think that he was good to help out. he didn’t know what he would do if he ever met the person he saw as joining the clan with him and grogu it would be difficult.
“i hope,” he nodded at her, he did think it would happen. he just didn’t know if it would happen in a way that she wanted it to. “yes. you can always contact me through the holo.” he nodded again, and followed her eyes down to the kid, “thank you. i appreciate it.”
.
bo nodded at his response as her arms crossed over her chest, “that thinking can be dangerous though, arguably the reason mandalore keeps being put in the position it’s in--” her own mistakes had caused that, in the past. regardless, she knew this wasn’t like that. that his clan wasn’t like that, even from the limited interaction.
“what you’re doing is noble. it’s hardly something i would choose to do,” she glanced up to his helmet, “but i’ll help you with this decision, nonetheless.”

valuespeace // satine kryze
“ That’s not what I meant. “ Satine replied plainly, raising her brows at her sister’s statement. “ If I had doubts to your allegiances, I would not have found you this way. Mandalore’s enemy had been The Jedi Order for centuries. “ Of couse Bo Katan knew this. Many of their people had harbored resentment towards the jedi, even during her rule. It had helped sway many to Death Watch’s clutches. “ You hadn’t tried to kill me yet. “ she teased, smirking. Even if her sister had worked with the jedi to free Mandalore before, she knew that it would be harder to get her to accept Obi-Wan’s position in her life. Sometimes, Satine couldn’t understand it herself.
Bo-Katan challenged her in a way that no one would have dared before. She had advisors, colleagues, but she was Duchess of Mandalore, leader of The Peace Movement. If this was to work, she needed to not brush off her sister’s concerns about many things, including Obi-Wan Kenobi. “ I do not presume to understand the jedi and their loyalties… “ she started off, turning away from her for the first time since their conversation began. He had always made her feel vulnerable in a way that no one else had. It was a weakness, especially now, when their lives were fractured, Mandalore in ruins. “ I’m not asking for your forgiveness. I know better. He will too, I think. “ she sighed, turning back to meet her sister’s eyes. “ I do wish he had been there for you. “
Korkie had always valued similar ideals as she. Satine looked into his eyes and saw her passion pointed back at her. He was reckless like her too, willing to put himself aside to see that justice prevailed. It was frustrating as she had taken responsibility for him long ago. She smiled widely at her sister’s words, shaking her head. “ He will have the best of both of us soon. “ Reuniting their family was even more important to her than Mandalore, if anyone could believe it. They had spent too long as a fractured clan. No more. “ I know there must be more Mandalorians, scattered. I believe that our true allies will lie there. Searching for them together is a strong move, I think. “
.
bo’s hand simply moved to cross over her chest as she waited for her sister to explain. regardless of her words, she couldn’t help but be suspicious of her sister’s intentions-- suspicious that she still held an amount of malice for bo’s choices, that this was simply a plot in her larger plan to create peace on mandalore. for bo didn’t see this as something she should be able to look past. she knew it was something she wouldn’t come to terms with this easily. “i never tried to kill you directly, if that comforts you at all. i can’t say the same for vizla,” she added with a small quirk of her eyebrow, surprised she was taking as much in stride.
as satine turned away, bo took a step back, thick boots making a soft noise against the floor as they stood in silence momentarily. they were past the reunion, and feeling of past differences were becoming more clear, “if you want his aide, you’ll have to presume as much,” she said with a breath, nodding as she explained, “i didn’t need him,” she stated plainly, “it wouldn’t have mattered. we rid mandalore of maul regardless,” without his help.
she chuckled at the suggestion of korkie, shaking her head, “oh i’m not sure about that-- i wouldn’t trust him in combat,” not yet, at the very least. “though, i would agree with that. perhaps the broken nature of our people will give some ability to reunite, deal with differences later.”

spcewrs // ezra bridger
ezra nods, “yeah, it did!!” he watches her with a smile, he hopes that this is going well. he honestly can’t tell from her reaction. he thinks it’s going well for him. he nods, “yeah, he helped us when sabine had the darksaber. you helped with that whole thing.” he says it like it’s not abig deal, just dropping information. “i like mandalorians, i mean jedis are weird too.” the question hits him in the gut and he shook his head, “uh, no. i haven’t seen her in four years…i kind of sacrificed myself to save her, and our family.”
.
bo was a bit irritated by the man’s enthusiasm. not enough to voice as much or leave, but it was a bit overwhelming for the largely pessimistic mandalorian. although, learning at rau’s help made her snort, “he helped you fight against the empire-- well, that’s certainly a surprise,” considering how his allegiances had aligned last she saw.
though, seeing his reaction at her question was somewhat disappointing. there was a pang of worry at what had become of her friends child, but she could tell he shared that, “well, i’m sure she saw that as a noble thing you did.”

padmé let out of her own laugh, smiling genuinely. “you get used to it. the dresses, the jewelry… it’s easy to hide weapons, recording devices, whatever else you need. i’ve had some brilliant handmaidens assist me with my wardrobe.” her fondness for her handmaidens would never disappear, sewn deep inside of her. they were family. “exactly.”
.
bo’s eyebrow quirked slightly at the suggestion, smiling a bit. it wasn’t surprising, the galaxy wasn’t a safe place for anyone, certainly not for someone in padme’s position. “well, i admire that, then. the lengths they went to to help. certainly something to respect,” how she spoke of her handmaidens really reminded her of her nite owls. they were family. “how are you situating here then. this isn’t the playing field you’re used to.”

spcewrs // kaydel connix
connix knew after her leg that she needed to be trained, that she couldn’t just hope for the best in the future. and it seemed like the best place to get the training from was a mandalorian – but specifically bo-katan. she had bonded with her unexpectedly. she didn’t have armour to wear for a training exercise but she hoped that she wouldn’t need any.
she appreciates that bo had removed hers too, it’s helpful to know that even at a disadvantage at least she’ll be able to may succeed without going against her in protective gear. kaydel had spent most of her time in a control room, being there had been safer in many ways. she was good at that job, but it didn’t mean she would always be there. “i think it’s one of the smartest things i could’ve done,” she admits with a smile.
.
bo hadn’t been great at making any sort of relationships in her lifetime. any sort of relationships-- she was focused on her own goals. on her people, and besides that, bo knew well enough that she often was off putting. not that she minded, it kept people away.
it kept them from getting too close.
she carefully wrapped her knuckled, a small smile on her face as she stepped to close the distance between then, “it’s good to know we’re in agreement on that,” she said, arms crossing over her chest as she finished, “leg looks better.”

spectrcseven // jacen syndulla
“you know how weird that sounds, right?” as much as jacen gets it, it’s still weird. all of this time travel stuff is weird. jacen knows that first hand, considering what he’s dealing with. “there has to be more mandalorians around somewhere. i - look, maybe i can dig around a little, see if i can find where they could be hiding out. if there’s a push to reclaim the system i’m sure it’ll be enough to get them to come out of hiding.” assuming he can find them. assuming bo even wants him to try and find them.
maybe he should expect the low blow, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t take him by surprise. “you think i don’t know that? i know what it means to them. i’m not saying it doesn’t matter to me.” he responds sharply, not all that pleased she’d trying to guilt him into helping.
still.. for her to come and ask him at all, to offer him something like that, to put so much trust in him is - unexpected. “that’s a lot of trust to give to someone whose name you don’t even know.” he points out. not to argue, and it’s not like he would ever betray that trust, but he doesn’t want bo to put her faith in the wrong person just to compromise.
.
a small smile turned the corner of her lip upwards at his comment, “i hardly think that’s the weirdest thing to come out of this whole situation,” she retorted. their whole meeting had been odd-- speaking of it now almost felt normal. those at his proposal, her eyebrows raised slightly, “i doubt you’d be able to find much more than me or my sister, but i suppose if you’re willing.”
though, the defensive response was a bit surprising, though also showed that the tactic was potentially effective, “i’m only asking you to consider the history of that, how it ties you in,” how bo saw it as an obligation, in a way.
“i think we’ve been through this enough, besides-- i’ve put my trust in worse than a bounty hunter,” she said a rad teasingly, “at least you’re not a sith with a grudge.”

.
bo smiled a bit at the response, “oh that’s certainly true. there’s a reason why you often see the men wearing them,” she said a bit jokingly. the mandalorian she had met from this time was certainly one of them. the cape paired with his unpainted armor certainly was eye catching. bo shrugged, “i usually don’t have this much choice. you have one?”

inspiringgreatness // ahsoka tano
ahsoka wishes it were that simple. she knows anakin was always ambitious, and with his abilities and his strength in the force it never came as a surprise. but his goals and ambitions would never have driven him to choose the dark side like that. all of his more.. concerning traits aside, anakin had never been a bad person. whatever it was that tipped him over that edge would’ve come from something deeper than ambition. but anakin’s unlikely to tell her the truth, and ahsoka’s not sure how else she can find out. “no - it wouldn’t be. i.. don’t know the full story, but it wouldn’t have been ambition that lead him there.” though.. ahsoka wasn’t there. can she truly know for sure?
letting out a soft laugh, ahsoka shakes her head. bo is right, on both counts - padmé doesn’t expect anything of the sort from ahsoka, and it’s not her job to protect the woman. but padmé is important to her. ahsoka refuses to simply let her be in danger without doing something about it. “you’re right, but.. padmé is like family to me, bo. she spent a lot of time teaching me, helping me understand the world outside of the order when i was a padawan. knowing she’s in danger, i can’t just do nothing.” she can’t help but sigh at her friend’s insistence. bo is stubborn, too stubborn to be talked out of anything once she sets her mind to it. but ahsoka refuses to lose anyone else close to her to the dark side, to vader. “let’s hope it doesn’t come to that, then.”
.
as the conversation continued, bo’s inability to help people with things like this was becoming more clear... she recognized that, and she felt a bit guilty that ahsoka was currently explaining her fears to her. regardless, bo was willing to listen and try and understand this force nonsense. she nodded slowly as she continued, eyebrows furrowing, “perhaps learning as much will help you come to terms with it,” she suggested, eyes flicking to meet hers, “surely records exist here, especially if he had died, previously.”
“you’re not good at standing to the side, regardless-- have you told her this. she’s certainly not foolish, i’m sure she’d use your bond to her advantage,” she suggested as she leaned back into her hands, considering momentarily. “but if it does... you need to be prepared for that.”

despite her already shifting towards helping the rebel alliance, bo will likely shift her full allegiance and support as the wars continues. she’s in a different place than she was during the clone wars, neutrality less accessible with the ruin of mandalore and the infiltration of the empire.
