people are saying "finally" or "they took too long" .... i did NOT want a next day update. the fact that they waited a few days shows they made proper business decisions that included a lot of debating. if anything it builds my trust in this new direction rather than destroying it

On the topic of not falling into the trap of judging people’s worth by their political opinions. The people who were screaming about how most Palestinians were probably homophobic and misogynistic because of their politics and religion, were shut down so fast I barely got to see it and I really appreciated that, that was nice.

Being raised in a very politically left leaning country and family where everyone agrees that republicans are stupid and you’d have to be not only dumb, but inherently evil to vote for trump and then being sent on exchange to the south, living with a republican family for a year and meeting trump supporters who I’d argue with until I was blue in the face but also take a bullet for any day of the week because they’re the kindest people I know. That’s really something that can change a 16 year old for life yk..

You always recognize when you meet people who have that specific brand of empathy that comes from loving people whose opinions you hate
