Fanfiction Authors: HEADS UP
(Non-authors, please RB to signal boost to your author friends!)
An astute reader informed me this morning that one of my fics (Children of the Future Age) had been pirated and was being sold as a novel on Amazon:
Tumblr media
(And they weren't even creative with their cover design. If you're going to pirate something that I spent a full year of my life writing, at least give me a pretty screenshot to brag about later. Seriously.)
I promptly filed a DMCA complaint to have it removed, but I checked out the company that put it up -- Plush Books -- and it looks like A LOT of their books are pirated fic. They are by no means the only ones doing this, either -- the fact that """publishers""" can download stories from AO3 in ebook format and then reupload them to Amazon in just a few clicks makes fic piracy a common problem. There are a whole host of reasons why letting this continue is bad -- including actual legal risk to fanfiction archives -- but basically:
IF YOU ARE A FANFIC AUTHOR WITH LONG AND/OR POPULAR WORKS, PLEASE CHECK AMAZON TO SEE IF YOUR STORIES HAVE BEEN PIRATED.
You can search for your fics by title, or by text from the description (which is often just copied wholesale from AO3 as well). If you find that someone has stolen your work and is selling it as their own, you can lodge a DMCA complaint (Amazon.com/USA site; other countries have different systems). If you haven't done this before, it's easy! Here's a tutorial:
HOW TO FILE A COPYRIGHT COMPLAINT FOR STOLEN WORK ON AMAZON.COM:
First, go to this form. You'll need to be signed into your Amazon account.
Select the radio buttons/dropdown options (shown below) to indicate that you are the legal Rights Owner, you have a copyright concern, and it is about a pirated product.
Enter the name of your story in the Name of Brand field.
In the Link to the Copyrighted Work box, enter a link to the story on AO3 or whatever site your work is posted on.
Tumblr media
In the Additional Information box, explain that you are the author of the work and it is being sold without your permission. That's all you really need. If you want, you can include additional information that might be helpful in establishing the validity of your claim, but you don't have to go into great detail. You can simply write something like this:
I am the author of this work, which is being sold by [publisher] without my permission. I originally published this story in [date/year] on [name of site], and have provided a link to the original above. On request, I can provide documentation proving that I am the owner of the account that originally posted this story.
Tumblr media
In the ASIN/ISBN-10 field, copy and paste the ID number from the pirated copy's URL. You'll find this ten-digit number in the Amazon URL after the word "product," as in the screenshot below. (If the URL extends beyond this number, you can ignore everything from the question mark on.) Once this number has been added, Amazon will pull the product information automatically and add it to the complaint form, so you can check the listing title and make sure it's correct.
Tumblr media
Finally, add your contact information to the relevant fields, check the "I have read and accept the statements" box, and then click Submit. You should receive an email confirmation that Amazon has received the form.
Please share this information with your writer friends, keep an eye out for/report pirated works, and help us keep fanfiction free and legally protected!
NOTE: All of the above also applies to Amazon products featuring stolen artwork, etc., so fan artists should check too!

Tumblr media
After leaving the city, we drove for several hours until we finally stopped in some old areas near the forest. Jake leaned back, pulling out his leather pouch, and I kinda was surprised when he opened it and pulled out a gun.
"You will have to listen to me, and if I tell you to run, you will run. Do you understand?" He said as he turned to me, a serious tone lacing his voice. I quickly nodded, knowing that it was a lie and I wouldn't run if I knew that he was in danger.
"I'm serious, baby."
"I know, and I promise to listen." I hummed quietly, knowing it was a lie because I won't listen to him.
Unfortunately, he seemed to have sensed it. I quickly connected our lips to make the lie convincing, and when I pulled back, I got a look that it didn't work because he knew what was going on in my head.
"Don't test me and listen to what I said." He sighed.
It was a warning. I knew when he's demanding or when he's warning. When we finally stopped in front of some old building. It took me a few seconds to realize that this was our destination, so I quickly turned to Jake.
"Shouldn't we sneak in or something?"
"Baby, I like when they greet me." He laughed, the corner of his lips lifted as we moved to the door, and after climbing a few steps, we stopped in front of a metal door with a large lock.
"I doubt that someone will meet us, I mean, they're government agents, Jake. We shouldn't expect them to just come in your hands." I said once I noticed the lock on the old door was broken and that there was nothing inside.
"You will be surprised to see how welcomed I am here." He laughed while pulling out a gun that had a silencer on it, and I didn't have time to say anything when he shot through the broken lock. I watched as he knocked on the door several times and turned around, looking around his surroundings.
"Who greets their guests like that?" He mumbled as he looked around the large room, which was empty and went to the side towards the corridor.
"Why do they always want to go the hard way." He growled, looking around.
The room suddenly became silent, and I heard my breathing only. I felt anxious inside as I took a step toward him, but I got a look that made me freeze. He raised his hand, pointing at the ceiling with his index finger, and turned towards the corridor with a dog whistle. I stood there waiting for something to happen. And then we just heard a soft hum behind the wall, which was like a sign for Jake.
"A room on the second floor?"
He nodded in response, and he came closer, holding my hand. His steps were big and sure as he walked down the hall, and as he reached the door, he raised his gun, firing several shots that left holes in the wooden door. I didn't realize what was happening until he opened the door, and I saw two men with black masks on the floor writhing in pain.
"Fucker." One of them cursed as Jake raised his weapon and promptly blew his brains out while also finishing off his friend who was still writhing.
"I said that we would be greeted." He smirked and moved forward, trying not to get into a pool of blood, and I tried to look at him only so that I wouldn't see the bodies that were lying around us.
"How did you know they were outside the door?" I felt stupid for asking such a thing, but I don't understand how he did manage to figure it out.
"This is their typical step, baby, rats are always hiding in obvious places."
The sound outside the door was soon heard, and another shot got fired. I looked up to see another man on the ground in a pool of blood. I don't know why and how he had such a quick reaction, but it made me grip his hand tighter.
After passing another body, I saw a brick staircase, which, after climbing it, opened into an office-like room. On the left side, there were many old wooden tables with booths whose walls were halfway up, and on the right, a long corridor with many doors.
"What's next?" I asked when Jake looked around, looking at the windows.
"I thought you were here to help me find a room." He smiled, turning to me, and I understood that now it was my turn, so I let go of his hand as I stepped forward.
I approached the fourth door and boldly opened it as I stepped into the long corridor, but before I could step forward, I felt a hand on my waist. Jake walked past me, running his palm across my torso and stopping me at the door I was approaching.
After he opened the door, I went into the room, which was empty, and in front of me was a wall behind which the room was supposed to be hidden.
"How are you going to get into it?" Jake asked me as he looked up, so my eyes followed at what he was looking to.
"You must be joking," I growled when I saw the ventilation hole because now I understood why he was measuring me earlier.
"Does it look like I'm joking?" He snorted as he stuck the gun in the waistband of his pants, and without warning, he came closer, grabbing me by the hip and lifting me. I flinched and grabbed his shoulders, and when I got to the opening, I reached out to try to remove the bars.
"They don't open," I grumbled and flinched again when he abruptly lowered me to my feet.
"Try to put it in."
He pulled out his knife from his pocket and handed it to me again. I bent the knife and stuck it behind the edge of the grill and used force to peel one side behind which I put my fingers to peel off the grill. I folded the knife into my jacket pocket and lowered my eyes to Jake, immediately meeting his gaze.
"There will be a safe in the room, and I need what's inside it."
"How am I supposed to open the fucking safe?"
"Forty, thirty- five, and fifty."
I understood that it had to be a code, and I didn't have time to answer anything when he moved me toward the opening.
"I hate you," I growled as I grabbed the iron edge with my hands. When he moved me higher, I felt his hands on my ass and he slightly squeezed it to show his dislike to my words.
"We'll talk about it later." He mumbled, and I crawled forward until I couldn't feel his hands anymore.
I was halfway inside the metal square pipe. I felt like I was short of air because of how tight it was since I couldn't even raise my head normally while lying on my stomach like that.
Wasting no time, I began to crawl forward until I reached the next opening and slammed it open. I poked my head into a small room, which was the size of a shower with some kind of metal chest of drawers. I looked at the distance between me and the floor, realizing that I hadn't planned how to get down.
It took a few seconds for me to look around as I slipped back into the opening and crawled forward until the ends of my legs were at the exit. I put my feet in and started crawling back. Suddenly, I flinched when something hit the pipe I was in. This hastened my movements, and before I could catch the edge with my fingers, I fell straight onto the sub.
"I swear I will kill him when we leave this shithole," I growled, standing up and grabbing the phone. I went to the chest of drawers, checking the first drawer, which had some papers. I looked through the others, which were just as full of papers, and then I closed my eyes, getting annoyed by all of this. I looked around the room with gray walls and looked at the floor, but there was nothing.
"Shit."I pushed the metal dresser to look behind it, but there was nothing as well. Have we been tricked?
"Jake?!" I screamed towards the opening through which I entered and fell silent as if my life depended on it.
"What?!" He screamed as if I was doing something that made him distract himself from something he was doing.
"There's nothing here!" I screamed and flinched when something hit the wall next to me. I pulled back because I knew what would happen if this wall was torn down.
"There has to be something!"
"But there's nothing!" I screamed so loud that I knew that the whole building heard me doing so.
"Mc-" He growled as if he was going to strangle me for yelling this loud, and a second later, a shot was heard, causing the phone to fall out of my hands. I bent down, picking up the phone, and my eyes immediately caught the white concrete floor, which had a crack, and when I looked up at the phone, it was just fine.
"What the fuck?" I knelt down to check it and only now I did see that it was not concrete, but plaster that was like chalk. Without waiting for anything, I pulled out Jake's knife and hit the net with the other end, making a hole.
I didn't stop until I saw a small black safe that was lying under the floor. Someone really doesn't want us to find it if they put that much effort into hiding it.
I found the safe, and I know the combination, but the problem is that I have never opened the safe, so I don't know how it works. I blew the air to remove the white dust from the black iron doors and turned the wheel, seeing the numbers that allowed me to understand what to do. After turning the first combination, someone hit the wall next to me again, and I rushed with the whole safe thing until I finally unlocked it.
I opened the door to see a large envelope and immediately took it, opening it to see what was inside. I shook the envelope to see pictures of Jake with a small black USB drive falling out. I put the USB in my pocket and just now saw that among the photos, there were some sheets with his name on them.
I knew I shouldn't read, and I should hurry, but I ran my eyes over the notes that mentioned his crimes. There were pictures with red arrows, question marks, and some numbers. I don't know what it is, but I knew I had to take it, so I put everything in an envelope and tucked it behind my shirt. I looked up at the iron chest of drawers and went over to open the first drawer, pulling out papers. I opened another drawer until I finally got to the last one and found another folder, which I immediately tucked behind my shirt.
I felt my heart pounding as I felt scared from not knowing what was going on there with Jake, and quickly I climbed on top of the dresser to reach the opening. I jumped a few times, hooking halfway, and I felt pain in my hips, but I didn't stop until I was in the hole.
I crept to the exit and looked down to just see several bodies, but Jake wasn't there. I crawled forward and hit the exit with my feet, and then moved back. I held on to the edges slowly, lowering my body until I felt a hand grab my torso, which made me flinch and try to free myself.
"And what do we have here?" I heard an unknown man's voice, and I didn't have time to answer anything when he jerked me down, but it only made me hold on to the edges more.
"Let go." I grunted as I moved my legs, and he jerked once more, making me scream in an unnatural voice as I felt the pain in my ribs, which rested on the edge of the opening.
"Come here bitch."
I don't know where I hit my legs, but I kicked something that made the man slap me on the ass.
"Hey!" It was Jake's voice, and I stopped in my tracks as my heart started beating like crazy. I didn't realize that my hands were shaking, my legs no longer supporting my body, and I fell when the attacker hesitated to hold me, he didn't catch me and just forced me to fall to the floor. I quickly turned around to see Jake taking big steps towards a man who pointed a gun at him.
My body was working faster than my brain as I pulled out Jake's knife and stabbed the man straight in the leg, drawing his attention to me.
"Bitch!"
That was enough for Jake to close in, grabbing his gun and shooting the man through the chest. The shot echoed throughout the building, making me flinch, and as if that wasn't enough, I felt drops of blood run down my face.
"Are you okay, baby?" Jakes voice made me come back to reality, and only now did I see that his face was also bloody.
"Yes." I nodded, not knowing if this was the right answer, and Jake leaned forward, grabbing me by the torso to get me up.
"I found the safe. I wanted you to know that."
"Really?" He smiled softly and pecked my head as he unzipped my hoodie pocket, taking out a new gun clip. I just nodded, taking a deep breath.
"Good girl." He mumbled, relieved tone lacing his voice. His breathing was as heavy as mine. Probably while I was busy with my own business, he had something to do as well.
"What happened while I was gone?"
"Someone wanted my head." He changed the gun's holster and quickly turned towards the door because he heard some knocking. I don't know why, but he looked like he wasn't here with me because he didn't look me in the eye and acted like he was still in the gunfight.
"Jake?"
"Not now, baby." He panted out and reached into his pocket.
"I can't get distracted. Otherwise, we'll both end up without a head." He warned as if he knew that I could feel his change, and I quickly nodded, knowing that he was right.
"Stay behind me." He ordered moving towards the door and boldly left by turning to the side and firing several shots. I saw four bodies, and two of them were new because he had just killed them.
How many government agents wanted his head?
The question hung in the air as we went down the stairs and walked down the corridor that was stained with blood, and it made me rush to grab his hand. Jake didn't react as he pushed open the door to go outside but stopped in an instant, causing me to crash into his back.
"What?"
I panicked when he turned to me and looked behind me. A man was standing at the end of the corridor aiming a gun directly at me, and I didn't have time to react, when after a shot was heard, Jake suddenly turned us around so that I was behind him. I hit the door behind me with my back as Jake walked towards me, slamming the door with his palm behind me.
"Fucking idiot." He growled meeting my gaze and my instinct worked faster than I could think. He shot Jake. He fucking shot him.
I quickly grabbed the gun from Jake's hand and walked past him towards the man, emptying the entire clip into his chest. I felt anger rushing out of me like water from an overflowing glass, and when the bullets ran out, I stopped in front of the body.
I slowly lowered my gun hand and tried to slow down my rapid breathing, which made my chest move like crazy.
I watched the blood run from his body to my shoes, and I took a step back to come back to reality. I slowly turned to Jake, who was watching me, and looked as surprised as I was.
"He put you and me in anger." I mumbled, running closer to him, and I grabbed the hem of his shirt, lifting it up to see where the wound was, but I only saw a black vest.
"I'm fine." After he spoke, I raised my eyes to meet his gaze.
"I panicked, I thought he shot you, I couldn't think straight." My words were incoherent, and I wanted to make sure that Jake was really okay. I slowly lifted his shirt even tigher, touching the hard black vest with my palm.
"Baby, I'm fine." His voice became softer. Forcing me to believe his words. I sighed in relief and pulled his shirt down to hide his vest.
"Everything is fine, baby, let's go before more of them will come." He whispered, and after kissing me, he took my hand, dragging me behind him to leave the building.
After getting into the car, I realized that I was still holding the gun with which I had just killed a person. I just killed a man. I fucking killed someone for Jake.
I wanted to feel guilty, but I didn't because I did it out of an instinct that told me to protect Jake. Everything happened so fast that I didn't have time to realize what was happening. All I knew was that he shot Jake, so he had to die for it.
"I killed a man." I spoke quietly, afraid to look at Jake, and instead, I just looked at the road in front of us.
"I know." He answered with a serious voice, so I turned to look at him with a worried face.
"I emptied the entire clip." I spoke quietly again, confirming to myself that I really did it, and Jake turned to look at me. His eyes landed on the gun in my trembling hands, and he slowly reached out to grab it. As he dropped it at the backseat. He took my hand in his and interlocked our fingers slowly.
"You did what was necessary." He assured me, looking at the road, and I nodded in agreement, but at the same time, I didn't know if it was really necessary. I mean, he shot Jake. I knew inside that it was necessary because no one touches Jake while I'm around him.
~
After entering the apartment, I immediately went to the bedroom and threw off my leather jacket. I pulled out the t- shirt that was tucked into my jeans and took out the papers I had tucked inside my shirt, letting them fall onto the bed. I lifted my jacket, taking out the USB that was in my pocket, and turned towards the door when I saw Jake entering the room.
"There was an envelope with this USB in the safe." I mumbled and lifted the envelope, handing it to him.
Jake walked towards me, grabbing the envelope and dropping it on the bed before suddenly cupping my cheeks in his hands.
"Is everything alright?" His eyes ran over my face looking for answers, and I quickly smiled.
"Yes."
I lied because I couldn't get the fact that I killed a person out of my head. I took someone's life and I can't forget it so easily. I was disturbed by the fact that I did it so easily and because I don't feel any guilt like something is really wrong with my mind.
"There was a metal chest of drawers in the room, and I found papers with your name there." I said as I got out of his arms turning towards the bed, and I picked up the papers, opening them immediately.
"I thought they were also important, so I took them." I said, and he slowly unfolded the papers. I lifted the envelope that was lying on the bed and handed it to him. He didn't answer anything, so I gave him the USB, too, wanting him to be happy with me and say something, but he was silent.
"Well then, I need to take a shower."
I passed by him towards the bathroom and closed the door once I entered it. I went straight to the mirror, looking at my image, seeing some drops of blood on my cheeks. I turned on the water, quickly wetting my hands and wiping off the blood, but I still felt like that man's blood was on my body.
"Mc, get a grip." My voice sounded quiet as I stepped away from the sink and took off my shirt, dropping it on the floor. I unbuttoned my pants, sliding them my legs down, followed by my panties. I unbuttoned my bra, throwing it with all my clothes, and entered the shower.
I turned on the water, which was cold. I hesitated when I was changing the water to warmer, and only when it started to get warmer. I realized that cold water helped me better, so I turned on cold water again.
I closed my eyes as I stood under the cold stream of water and tried to understand why it was so easy to kill someone. I wanted Jake to tell me the reason he could do this without feeling like he had an excuse to actually kill someone.
I had to get into my head what Jake said to me in the car that I had no choice, and it was necessary because I was doing it to protect both of us. I did it for Jake. That guy shot him, so he deserved to die, right?
I heard the shower door open, and a second later, I felt warm hands on my torso. Jake's naked body pressed against mine, providing warmth that the cold water took away.
"Mc."
After he whispered my name, I immediately opened my eyes to see how his hand reached the water handle and the way he changed the temperature of the water to warm.
"You did it because you love me as much as I love you." After he whispered these words, everything just disappeared like the water that ran through my body washed away all the worries I had inside my head.
He was right. I did it because I love him, and I have to admit to myself that I would do it again. The feelings I feel for Jake are so strong that it can make me do things I would never have dared to do, and it didn't scare me at all. I wanted to be strong so I could protect both of us, and this was the first step I had to take sooner or later.
It seemed like I only now realized that he always did this for me, to keep me safe. Jake was the one who was ready to sacrifice everything for me, and it seemed that I only now understood the reason why he always mentioned that I was like him. He knew that I would be determined to do the same for him, and this only made me understand that the love I feel for him has no end.
"I love you." He whispered again letting me hear the words I adored and I didn't think I would hear him saying it a second time because he always warned me not to repeat these words and leave them for special moments. He knew that this was exactly what I needed, as if he was sensing that these words would warm my frozen body.
Maybe the love I feel for Jake would appear unhealthy and toxic to others, but for us, it was perfect because we were both something different.
I slowly turned around with my palms touching his bare wet chest and raised my eyes to meet his gaze. I grabbed his neck with my hand and pulled him closer, connecting our lips, and then I took a step back, hitting the wall with my back. He was the first to pull back, but I didn't let him pull back too far, I brought our foreheads together.
"I would do it again for you." I admitted, opening my eyes to look at his lips.
"I would sacrifice everything for the love of my life. For you." I admitted raising my eyes to meet his gaze, and suddenly, without a word, he connected our lips. I kissed him back as I felt his hands on my torso slide down to my ass and squeeze it to elicit a moan.
I wrapped my arms around his neck and wrapped my legs around his torso as he rose me up. His lips moved down to my neck, biting my skin, eliciting a moan that mixed with the water from the shower.
I gripped his back with my nails, feeling him go full length into me, pinning me against the wall even harder. He didn't wait for anything as he moved pretty fast. I rolled my eyes to back, grabbing his hair with my fingers and pulling the ends of them so that I could get a growl from him that I adored.
I felt the excitement go through my body, making me pull harder on his hair. Jake nibbled on the skin of my neck as he was thrusting into me at a quicker pace and whispered that I belonged to him.
I heard his voice and the way he kept repeating that I would always belong only to him, and I couldn't hold back the orgasm that made me shake with a moan that rang throughout the shower.
Jake didn't stop when his strong hands gripped my body so hard that I stopped breathing for a second as I felt him filling me fully. I opened my eyes to meet his gaze, and I immediately bent down to connect our lips in a kiss that we wanted so much to finish the orgasm we had achieved.
~
I woke up, and when I reached out to the other side of bed, I didn't feel another body that should have been lying next to me. I was lying on my stomach, so I lifted my body off the bed with my elbows to see that Jake's side of the bed was empty. For some reason, I had a bad feeling that crossed my heart for an unknown reason.
"Jake?" I called out and looked towards the door. Without getting the answer, I quickly sat down and got up from the bed, throwing on his shirt, which was lying next to the bed, and walked to the table, opening the drawers. It was empty, so that only meant that he had found what he was looking for.
I nervously ran a hand through my hair as I walked out of the room into the living room and looked towards the door where Jake's shoes were gone. For several minutes, I just stood looking at the door and biting my lower lip from the bad feeling I had in my chest.
I went back to the room with my phone and dialed his number, but when I heard the signal, I heard his phone ringing from the bed. I quickly walked to bed and lifted his pillow to see his phone. I sighed and quickly rejected the call. I don't like the idea that he left his phone and disappeared without saying anything.
I changed as quickly as possible without bothering to do my hair and walking to the door of the apartment, taking out my shoes from the closet. I quickly put it on without bothering to tie it and just tucked the laces behind the edges. I grabbed the car keys, feeling my heart pounding with anxiety and unlocking the door, but before I could open it, it opened by itself. My eyes suddenly met with Jake's, and the anxiety I felt made my body tremble.
"Where did you get ready for?" He asked with his eyebrows furrowed when he looked at my outfit, which was just black jeans and his shirt, which I just buttoned without bothering to put on a bra. I was in a hurry, not knowing where I was going, so my hair was still tangled, which showed that I had recently woken up.
"What the hell, Jake?!" I don't know why I screamed, but probably because I was panicked for his sudden disappearance and anxiety I felt. "Where were you?"
"At the Lilly's motel."
"Why did you leave without informing me?! I woke up alone and like it's not enough. I can't call you because you left the phone!"
"Why are you yelling at me?" He looked at me confused. His tone was calm. Too calm for my liking.
"Because you disappeared without telling anything."
"I always disappear without telling anyone anything."
"Yes, but now I have this bad feeling, so you can't just disappear. Not after what happened, Jake. I got scared..." I whispered, trying to calm down my breathing. His face softened as he came closer, grabbing my hand and pulling me into his arms, hugging me tightly.
"Baby I-" I cut him off almost immediately.
"Promise that you will be careful, Jake."
"I'm always careful. Besides, why are you worrying so much now?" He pulled back, holding my cheeks with his hands.
"I have this bad feeling that won't go away, and I'm afraid that something bad will happen to you." I said as I looked up at him. A gentle smile appeared on his face, with which he always showed that I should not worry.
"Nothing will happen to me, so stop talking about it. I've got it under my control."
"Promise me." I pressed him to promise because I didn't like how I had that feeling. I killed a government agent. He killed many of them, too. It's obvious that they will be looking for us now more than ever.
"Mc."
Why doesn't he promise? After all, I did not ask him to call out for my name, but I needed him to promise me that he would not disappear anywhere and would protect himself.
"Then promise that you won't disappear anywhere and you will protect yourself." I stared at him hopefully. He was silent for a long minute before a long sigh escaped his lips.
"I promise."
For a few minutes, we were both just silent, looking into each other's eyes.
Looking into his eyes, I tried to see if he promised me that only to stop my pressing, but I could not see anything. I could only curse at the fact that I couldn't see through the lies because Jake's eyes were professional when it came to hiding the truth. I could see the love he felt for me in them, but other emotions were hidden, preventing me from understanding him.
"Come on." He reached out to grab my wrist. I didn't resist letting my body move towards him. I melted into his embrace and closed my eyes, inhaling his perfume that calmed me down.
"Even if they caught me and tortured me. I would come back to you, even from hell baby. My promise will always stand. No one can separate me from you."

As soon as Jessy disappeared through the doors of the first surgery room with Lex, Dan and Asher followed her to assist her. A determined look became visible on my face, and my nurse mode turned on again. There was no time to lose, Kaden needed me.
"Jake!" I screamed while walking towards the stretcher Kaden was laying on. Immediately, Jake turned his head around, a questioning look on his face.
"I need you to assist me." I said once I noticed the confused look in Jake's face. Without an assistant, Kaden could as well be considered a lost case. I only had two hands, I needed someone to provide me with another two. An understanding look quickly became visible on Jake's face, and he nodded.
"I'll do my best." He answered me. Kaden was his brother, and I was sure he would do anything for Kaden. Immediately, I grabbed the stretcher on one side while Jale grabbed it on the other side.
"Sam, keep putting pressure on the wound until I tell you to let go." I instructed the red head who was still trying to stop the bleeding.
"After that, I want you to keep an eye on Kaden's vitals." I spoke once again, and Sam nodded, indicating he understood what I was asking of him. Suddenly, I looked up again and looked both my assistants straight in the eyes.
"I need both of you to put in everything you have. We can't afford to make any mistakes." I spoke in a serious tone before beginning to push the stretcher towards the big doors of the second operation room. It didn't take long for the three of us to get everything ready for surgery, and before we knew it, I was standing next to Kaden's shot shoulder, ready to take the bullet out.
"Okay, Jake, I'm gonna sterilize the wound, I want you to hand me everything I ask." I spoke in a bossy tone. I didn't care if I sounded rude or bossy towards the other two. I was in charge of this room.
"Sam, slowly remove your hands from the wound and focus on the monitor behind Kaden." I spoke towards the red head, who immediately did as I told him to.
"You see the numbers on the monitor?" I spoke as I began to lean over Kaden's wound, getting a good look at it for the first time. "They need to stay the same. If they change, tell me."
A smile began to form onto my face underneath my mask as soon as I looked at Kaden's wound. Jessy had been right. This looked very familiar to the wound Jake had a while ago. There is no doubt in my mind that I could fix this. Immediately, I began to sterilize the wound thoroughly while Jake handed me everything I asked of him.
"Okay, Jake, once I remove the bullet, put pressure on the wound immediately." I spoke while slowly lifting my head to look at Jake. Immediately, he nodded, indicating that he had understood what I was asking of him. This was the most important step of the whole surgery. Fucking up here would cost Kaden his life.
"Okay, I'm gonna remove the bullet now." I spoke, getting slightly nervous by being in charge of the most risky thing of the whole operation. I began to calm myself by steadying my breathing and doing exactly as Jessy had done back when it had been Jake, who had been shot. Get the bullet out, put pressure on the wound, sterilize, stitch it up. I could do this.
With ease, I took out the bullet followed by Jake, who immediately began to put pressure on the wound. Kaden's wound was bleeding a lot less heavy than Jake's had done back in the time, but nevertheless, I was scared. If he would lose more blood, he might not make it. Kaden had already lost so much blood.
As soon as the bullet was out, I began to sterilize the wound again before stitching it up as precisely as I could. A proud look quickly became visible on my face while looking at my masterpiece. I had done it, Kaden was still alive, and the wound was fixed.
"Sam, vitals?" I asked while briefly looking at the red head who smiled in return.
"They haven't changed!" He happily exclaimed.
"Alright, all that's left now is to bandage him up." I spoke once I had gotten the answer I was looking for from the red head. Immediately, I went back to work again, and with a little help from Jake, it didn't take long for me to bandage Kaden's shoulder as good as I possibly could.
"We are done. Let's bring him to one of the rooms in the hospitalwing." I spoke, relief clearly lacing my voice. I hadn't fucked up. I had saved Yoongi.
Within a few minutes, Kaden was placed on one of the white hospitalbeds, still unconscious. A nervous feeling suddenly began to creep up to me, and I looked at the older guy with worry in my eyes. What if I missed something? Maybe he would never open his eyes again. I wasn't a surgeon, after all.
Since Lex was still receiving surgery and Kaden hadn't woken up yet the three of us who had performed Kaden's surgery had decided to watch our friend by joining him in his hospitalroom while waiting for him to wake up. All of us were now sitting beside Kaden's bed, except for the ones who were still busy with Lex.
It had been a few hours since Kaden had received surgery, and he still hadn't opened his eyes. Of course, I knew that sometimes patients needed some more time in order to wake. However, it made me nervous as hell. Why wouldn't he just open his eyes?
Suddenly, some grunts began to leave Kaden's mouth, and it didn't take long for him to start moving his body a little, followed by his eyes slowly opening. Immediately, Jake sprung up from the chair he was sitting on and rushed to his brother's side. Tears began to form in his eyes, slowly rolling down his cheeks upon noticing his brother moving and making sounds...
I myself slowly began to cry, too. I was exhausted. It had been a very eventful day for me. I had a gun held against my head, I had killed someone, and I had performed my first surgery alone. The fact that Kaden was now showing signs of life was the final straw I needed to let it all go. I didn't care anymore. My only concern now was Lex. Jessy was still busy with her. It had been hours since Jessy had taken her into that operation room.
"Goddammit, who the fuck ran me over with a truck?" Kaden softly managed to bring out as soon as he had opened his eyes. Immediately everyone in the room began to laugh upon the word choice of the injured guy.
"You got shot in your shoulder, Kaden." I decided to say before walking up to him in the white hospitalbed. Immediately, Kaden focused on me completely.
"I removed the bullet from the wound and fixed it. You should be fine in a couple of weeks." I finished, a big smile on my face. Immediately, a confused look became visible on Kaden's face, and he looked at me shocked.
"You performed surgery on me?"
Softly, I nodded, becoming a bit shy. However, Kaden immediately began to smile brightly while shaking his head softly.
"Is there anything you can't do, crying baby?" Kaden spoke, amusement clearly lacing his voice. Softly, I began to laugh before looking at everyone in the room. Everyone was clearly very happy that Kaden had survived his shot wound, but worry was visible on our faces too.
Lex's fate was still unknown to everyone in the room, and it wouldn't take long before her boyfriend would notice she was missing too. As if Kaden could read my mind, a worried look became visible on his face.
"Where is Lex?"
I immediately turned around to tell him about his girlfriend still receiving surgery, but Jessy beat me to it by pushing another bed in the room. A very pale looking Lex was laying on a white bed similar to the one Kaden was laying in. Everyone in the room immediately got quiet upon Jessy entering the room, looking at the small girl adoringly.
"Lex suffered some internal bleedings, but I managed to fix them." She spoke loudly for everyone in the room to hear. An exhausted look was visible on her face, and she looked like she would pass out anytime soon. Lex had been on the verge of death when Jessy had started the surgery. Thank god she was quick enough to stabilize her again.
A big smile, however, began to form on Jessy's face once she noticed Kaden moving and breathing. Apart from Kaden's bandaged shoulder, he looked like he was fine, and that meant that I had been able to fix him. Immediately, Jessy turned towards me and took me in a tight hug before whispering in my ear.
"I knew you could do it."
The rest of the evening, all of us spend inside Kaden's and Lex's hospitalroom. The shock had been big for everyone today, and thus, we needed each other right now. Lex was still unconscious, but Jessy had told everyone that she could wake up any moment now, and thus, everyone was keeping an eye on the girl, hoping that it wouldn't take too long. We needed to be complete again.
As if on cue, the small girl began to softly grunt while slightly moving her arms and head. Kaden immediately sat up right and looked at his girlfriend in the other bed, worry visible on his face. He couldn't live without that girl, Lex meant the world to him.
Slowly, Lex began to open her eyes, only to close them immediately again due to the brightness of the room. Upon noticing Lex opening her eyes, tears began to stream down Kaden's cheeks, and he looked at his girlfriend with a small smile on his face.
"Wake up, baby." Kaden spoke softly, to which Lex began to grunt again.
It took her a few minutes, but she slowly began to open her eyes again. The first thing Lex noticed was her boyfriend in the bed next to her, and a smile began to form on her face.
"I knew you would come and save me." Lex spoke softly while a small smile began to form onto her face. Immediately, Kaden climbed out of his hospital bed, even though Jessy had told him to stay in it, and rushed to his girlfriend's side before grabbing her hand. Tears were streaming down his face, while a small smile was visible on it as well.
"Always." Kaden answered his girlfriend before softly lifting his good arm and caressing the girl's cheek.
I looked at the two lovebirds lovingly before looking at the rest of the people in the room. In the short amount of time I had spent with them, these people truly became my family. A small smile slowly began to show up on my face, and I softly closed my eyes. I loved these people so damn much.
~
It had been three months since the day when Mr. Dalton had almost ruined multiple people lives. Ever since that day, everyone has become closer than ever before. Luckily, Lex and Kaden had recovered well and were completely fine. The same goes for Asher. He was fully recovered from the injuries he had gotten back when the team had rescued him.
Even though I myself had never been someone who would have thought I would be able to kill someone, somehow I had managed to fire the bullet at Mr. Dalton. Surprisingly to myself, I hadn't had trouble with that fact at all, I was fine with it. Hell, I for sure knew that I had done the right thing.
In these three months a lot of things had changed. Jake had officially inherited the gang from his father, and even though he had been running it for god knows how long he was now officially its leader too. Due to all the heavy moments all of us had been through.
Dan had decided he wanted Jessy to be his forever. Of course, Jessy had been his before, but he had never felt much for the whole marriage thing. Now that they had almost lost three of their friends, Dan had changed his mind, and thus, he had proposed to his ginger haired girlfriend. Of course, Jessy was the happiest girl alive and said yes.
Lex and Kaden were going stronger than ever before. Both of them had been scared to death of losing each other that moment in the hospital. Luckily for everyone, both were completely fine again, and they even talked about getting a small dog together, as a little extra company.
Sam and Asher were doing amazing as well. Both guys were always busy with their jobs but made sure to spend every evening they had together, going on dates and stuff. Sam had been super happy ever since he had been told that Asher had made a full recovery, and it was almost like happiness radiated off of him.
As for Jake and me, the two of us had never been happier. I spend almost all my days in the hospital wing together with Jessy. Ever since I had successfully performed the surgery on Kaden, Jessy had decided to make me an actual surgeon. By now, I had done multiple surgeries on my own, with Jessy as my assistant, of course, in case I needed help.
Jake had been busier with work than ever. Since he didn't need approval from his father for everything anymore, he could do whatever he wanted, which was something Jake liked a lot. Our relationship was amazing, too. Who would have thought that we would go from cellmates in prison to being in love?
Currently, Jake and I were on our way to Jessy and Dan's apartment since she had invited everyone to come over for dinner. I was proudly holding my boyfriend's hand while a happy smile was plastered on my face. My life had truly turned out to be amazing.
"Why are you so happy?" Jake asked, a smile visible on his own face as well. I slightly turned my head to look at my boyfriend's face while the smile on my face widened.
"I'm just thankful for everything that has happened in my life." I answered my boyfriend before sending a wink his way. Softly, Jake began to laugh before softly shaking his head.
Mc had grown from the shy girl Jake had gotten to know back in prison to the caring and happy girlfriend he loved so much and truth be told, he wouldn't change a thing about the brunette girl. Mc was perfect just the way she was.
Soon, both of us reached the apartment of Jessy and Dan, and immediately, I happily pressed the button on the right side of the door. Immediately, a ring sounded through the room. Followed by someone screaming.
"Dan honey, can you get it?" A loud footsteps sounded through the hallway, and it didn't take long for the door to open.
"Come on in, we were all waiting for you two." Dan spoke as soon as he opened the door, already knowing it had to be Jake and I since we were the only two still missing.
Both of us politely thanked Dan for letting us in before walking through the front door of the apartment. Immediately, a delicious smell hit our nostrils, and my eyes grew big. Jessy was the best cookout of us all, and it showed. I didn't care that I had no idea what it was that she was even cooking. It smelled absolutely delicious, and I couldn't wait to try some of it.
"Mc!" Lex exclaimed as soon as she noticed me coming in. Immediately, Lex jumped up from the chair she was sitting on and sprinted towards where I was standing. Immediately, the two of us hugged each other and began to talk enthousiastically. A small smile began to form onto Kaden's face, and he slowly shook his head.
"Judging by their eagerness to see each other, you wouldn't say we're their boyfriends, huh?" Kaden spoke, loud enough for both of us to hear it too. Lex only reacted by sticking her tongue out to her boyfriend before focusing on me again while I didn't react at all.
Jake, however, softly began to laugh while walking over towards where Kaden, Dan, Sam, and Asher were sitting and softly patted his brother on the shoulder.
"They're soulmates. What did you expect, bro?"
"Dinner is ready!" Jessy happily spoke as she put some delicious looking plates on the table. Immediately, everyone stood up from where they were seated and walked over to the dinner table.
Jessy had absolutely outdone herself this time. Her dishes looked like they came straight out of a magazine, and I couldn't help but look at the dishes as if my life depended on it. This looked absolutely amazing.
As soon as everyone was seated around the table, Jessy told everyone what she had made, and before I knew it, I had a plate full of delicious food. Slowly, I looked around the table, and a loving smile became visible on my face. I loved these people so damn much.
Ever since that damn judge had sentenced me to life in prison, I had thought that my life had officially been over. I had been convicted of the murder of my own sister, a girl I had always loved dearly. However, somehow, I was also thankful for being convicted. If the judge had never sent me to prison, I would have never met Jake.
I wouldn't have met the world's most stubborn person who had a habit of pissing off the guards back in the prison. I wouldn't have escaped together with the jet haired grumpy guy. I wouldn't have met anyone sitting on this table. Sure, there were some things I would do differently in my life, but going to prison? I wouldn't want to miss it if that meant I would have never met these amazing people.
Ever since I had met Jake, my whole life had felt like a rollercoaster, but it was worth it. I had gotten a new family and a whole new life. These people showed me that family didn't always have to be related by blood. Family is anyone who loves you unconditionally.
THE END!
And that's it! This is the very last real chapter. I want to thank you all so much for everything! This has been so fun to write, and I truly love it from the bottom of my heart. I never thought this story would get as much attention as it has. Wow. Thank you all for that. Hopefully, I'll see you around when I come back with something! As for now, I'll read all of your amazing works, and hopefully, we will see each other around soon! Love you guys.❤

-years ago-
A panicked look was visible as Isabella Dalton pushed yet another door open while running as fast as she could. The sound of footsteps chasing her became louder and louder, and a panicked sound left her mouth. There was no way she would be able to escape from him. Once he had decided something, he would literally do anything to make it happen.
The only thing that roamed through her mind was the cute faces of her sons. Jake and Kaden was her whole life and the main reason why she hadn't left this miserable life of hers already. Just a little smile of her sons could lift up her whole mood. She would never be able to leave them behind.
The longer the young woman was running, the harder it became to breathe for her. Isabella was not used to a lot of running and knew she wouldn't be able to keep it up for long. In a split second, she decided that she would head for the roof, hoping that the man chasing her wouldn't see it. Maybe the roof would give her an escape from him.
Quickly, the young woman began to run up the stairs as quickly as she could and pushed the door to the outside open. Immediately, she inhaled sharply as the cold wind of the outside world hit her face. A soft red blush started to form on her cheeks, and she walked a bit further on the roof while softly closing her eyes. If he would find her now, Isabella would be trapped, and she was well aware of that fact. There was no way left to run.
Soon, the woman had reached the edge of the roof and looked down. It was a long way down from up here, and if she would fall, that would surely be the end of her. There was no way the woman would be able to escape from the roof. She was like a mouse trapped in a cage. Isabella slowly closed her eyes, and a soft sigh left her mouth as she heard someone open to the door of the roof. So he had found her.
"You've changed Isabella." Diego Dalton said while slowly taking a few steps closer towards his wife. The tone in which the man was speaking was an amused yet annoyed one. Lately, the woman had been annoying him constantly, and he hadn't trusted her for one bit. She wasn't the same woman he had once married. The beautiful woman slowly turned around before looking at her sons father, right in the eyes, a small smile on her face.
"I have, haven't I?" She answered him, a defeated look clearly visible on her face. "I like to think that I've finally seen the light."
"Shut the fuck up with that stupid religion of yours, it's not real!" Diego screamed back at her, an angry look visible on his face. Quickly the man took a few steps closer towards his wife. A nervous feeling immediately began to form inside Isabella's chest and she quickly looked behind herself. One more step and she would be falling of the roof.
"That's your opinion, Diego." The woman answered her husband. "It made me realize that I don't want this life anymore. Not for me or for Jake and Kaden." Isabella spoke, confidence clearly lacing her voice.
Ever since she had stumbled upon a small church deep in the woods, her life had never been the same. While she used to think that all the illegal things Diego did were really cool, she now saw them for what they really were, sins. Killing, torturing, and blackmailing were just a few small examples of everything her husband had done. She didn't want this life for Jake and Kaden. She wanted them to be free of all sins. She wished for them to remain as pure as possible.
A small smile slowly began to form onto the young woman's face at the thought of her sons. Diego wanted Jake and Kaden to grow up as a rutheless monsters who would run the gang once he retired. He wanted to turn the small boys into killing machines who would care about nothing but money.
Slowly, Isabella began to shake her head. She couldn't let this happen. Not while she was still alive. Jake and Kaden were her baby boys, and they deserved better than to grow up in an environment like this with a monster as a dad.
"Please let me and my sons go." The woman calmly asked, already knowing Diego would refuse to let them leave. Jake and Kaden were the man's sons. Of course, he wouldn't let them go without putting up a fight. This man wouldn't let anyone tell him what to do, not even his own wife.
Looking back, their relationship had always been pretty one-sided. It had always been Isabella, who had loved Diego and Diego, who had taken advantage of that fact. The man had always used the excuse that she would be a weak spot to him if he began to love her, but to Isabella, that was just straight-up bullshit.
Looking back, it had always been Isabella on the giving end and Diego on the receiving end. He had never loved her. He had only liked the fact that she would be able to provide him kids. Another sick way to increase the money the gang earned.
"Never will I let a whore like you take my sons away." The man answered his wife while he became visibly more angry by every word that left her mouth.
Slowly, the man was taking a few steps closer to where his wife was standing. The woman looked fragile in the cold and dark night. Like she could be broken by just a small touch of his finger. Diego had always known that Isabella was naive. However, he was truly shocked by her betrayal. Never had she gone against him like this, and the man would make sure that she would regret that she ever did.
"Tell me, Isabella, are you willing to die for your sons?" Diego suddenly asked, an evil smirk slowly forming on his face. The woman standing in front of him clearly stiffened upon hearing the question her husband had just asked her. She quickly regained her confident posture, however, and looked Diego straight in his eyes.
"I am, I'd do anything for my little Jake and Kaden." She answered confidently, not once looking away from the piercing gaze she got from her husband. The man was now standing only two steps away from her, and an evil smile was still present on his face.
"In that case, enjoy the fall down." Diego spoke before taking another step towards Isabella, followed by a big push. As expected, the small woman immediately lost her balance, and before she knew it, she fell off the roof. Within a few seconds, she would hit the ground and be death. She had lost.
Tears began to stream down the young woman's face, yet no sound left her mouth. She had failed to protect her sons. They would grow up believing all the lies his father would tell them. Slowly the small cute faces of Jake and Kaden appeared in front of Isabella's face and a small smile began to form onto her face, happy that her thoughts had allowed her to see their faces one more time.
"I love you, and I'm sorry, be strong, my children."

Tears were streaming down my face. Anyone who would have the chance to meet me would never describe me as a crybaby, and yet here I was. Fat tears were streaming down my cheeks, and it didn't seem like I would be able to stop soon.
"She didn't leave us." I softly whispered while thinking of the horrible fate my mother had suffered.
Isabella Dalton had been the only person expect Kaden who looked out for me when I had been younger, and I had loved the woman with all my heart. Of course I had always questioned the fact why she suddenly had abandoned me and when my father had told me at the young age that my mother had commited suicide a pained yet hollow feeling had been all that my mother had left me.
The fact that I had just learned that she didn't leave me and Kaden after all and that she even tried to get us out of the shithole we were raised in somehow warmed my heart and yet a sharp pain also was present. All these years, I had hated my mother for what she had done. I had been absolutely disgusted by everything that reminded me of her.
Religion had always been something I hated so much just because my father had told me that my mother had been religious. Oh, how I wanted to say sorry now. I regretted every bad word, bad thought, and bad actions I had ever said, thought or done now. My mother had never been a heartless woman who only cared about herself. The very reason why she had died the way she did was because she was anything but selfless. My mother had cared about me and Kaden more than her own life.
"Anyone who dares to go against me will face the consequences." My father spoke loudly through the room.
Even though the story he had just told about his wife's murder was completely true, he had mainly told it to show everyone not to mess with him. Of course he couldn't let any of the people present in this room live now, but if he got rid of his pathetic excuse of a son now he would surely be killed by one of the other gunmen in the room.
The merciless man wasn't crazy he had trained these people himself. Hell, he had chosen them to be at the top of his gang himself. Kaden, Asher and Jake were all very precise when it came to firing bullets, he knew that and while two of those men were currently not able to do anything against him, one of them was still lurking somewhere.
Asher had always been the one who had been the sneakiest. The guy was like a damn shadow, and he was very quick. As long as he was still somewhere in this room, there was no way Mr. Dalton would kill the only thing he could use against these people.
"I killed Sina Estrada for it, even my own wife." My father spoke loudly again, his booming voice sounding through the whole room. A nervous yet angry look was visible on the man's face, and he pressed the gun he was holding against my head a bit harder against my temple.
"And I would even kill my own son for it." The man finished in a whisper close to my ear. Shivers ran down my spine upon hearing the cold tone in my father's voice. The man who had raised me had been nothing but a liar who cared about no one but himself. My whole life, I had thought that my mother had been the selfish one of my parents, and it turns out it was the other way around.
Slowly, the tears that were rolling down my face stopped, and anger started to boil within my chest. I was angry, super angry. Angry because my father had lied about the death of my mother all these years. Angry because my father had killed my mother all those years ago. Angry because my father had tried to kill Mc, the one person whom I cared for more than anyone. Angry because my father had been responsible for all the misery in my life. It had always been my father, I had just been too blind to see it.

Meanwhile, I was still hiding behind the table while watching Lex. My friend was now barely breathing. Only soft and irregular breaths left her mouth once in a while, and the future didn't look bright for her. Someone had to do something quick. However, the problem was that there was literally no one who could do anything.
As I slowly looked over the flipped table, I saw how Jake was still captured by his father, Kaden was still bleeding heavily, and the others except Asher were in direct eyesight of Mr. Dalton. However, I knew that as soon as Mr. Dalton would spot Asher he would shoot Jake, so relying on him wasn't a possibility either. This whole situation was horrible, and I felt like there was no way we could win this anymore.
However, Asher himself clearly wasn't ready to accept their defeat yet. He was quick, and even though he still hadn't fully recovered from his injuries, that would not stop him. Like a pro, the guy slowly was crawling closer to Mr. Dalton, his black gun still in his hand. The merciless man clearly hadn't noticed him yet, and thus, the man didn't really expect it when Asher suddenly popped up from behind a wall and started to shoot some bullets at both Jake and Mr. Dalton. Asher was one of the best shooters in the gang. He knew he wouldn't hit Jake.
However Mr. Dalton was quick to now notice him and briefly took the gun of Jake's temple before wrapping his hand around the guy's neck and choking him. Immediately, Jake began to gasp for air, and his sight began to become blurry. However Mr. Dalton didn't react at his son's actions at all and aimed his gun at Asher before shooting some bullets at him.
A statisfied smirk crossed the man's face as he suddenly saw Asher's gun fly through the room. He had hit it. The weapon was now completely useless, and while Asher himself wasn't hit, he hid again quickly, now completely defenseless.
"Everyone kick your guns my way, or I'll shoot Jake!" Mr. Dalton shouted through the room before aiming his gun at his son once again and releasing the pressure he was putting on his neck. Immediately, Jake began to cough loudly before gasping for air. Red finger marks were clearly visible on his neck, and an evil smirk was visible on his father's face.
Immediately, everyone kicked their guns in Mr. Dalton's way, not wanting to risk their friend's life. They had known the man longer than today, and if he said something, he meant it. Disobeying him now would be a very stupid idea.
Tears started to stream down my face upon thinking about my friend's deaths. There was no way any of them would be able to escape now that they were defenseless. Lex would die right on the spot without medical attention as well as Kaden.
Jake would be next as he would get shot by his dad and knowing Mr. Dalton he would probably go after Asher next since he was the biggest threat of the remaining people. After that, it would be like roulette for the merciless man. He would kill anyone he saw before leaving with that sadistic smirk of his on his face.
Quickly, I balled my fists and gritted my teeth. There's no way I could let that happen. Slowly, I stood up from the table I was hiding behind and quickly began to look around, searching for anything I could use to help my friends. I may be a damn nurse, but I wouldn't go down without a fight. These people were my family, and I would never be able to let them down. Mr. Dalton was standing with his back towards me, and thus, the man had completely missed my sudden appearance.
Jessy, however, had not missed it. A shocked look immediately became visible upon her face once she noticed me standing up from behind Mr. Dalton. However, her face quickly returned to a neutral expression again, and she looked away from where I was standing.
If Jessy had kept looking at her, Mr. Dalton would surely notice it and know that someone was standing behind him. Even though Mc was probably one of the purest souls in this room she was the groups only chance at getting everyone out of here alive and thus Jessy had no choice but to look away and trust whatever it was that Mc was doing.
Quickly, I began to look around myself and began to slowly walk forward once I noticed one of Mr. Dalton's dead men near the table. Even though the man had been dead for a while, judging by the enormous puddle of dark red blood surrounding him, he was still holding his gun. As quiet as I could, I walked closer to the man and kneeled once I had reached him.
Suddenly, I began to feel sick upon staring at the enormous shot wound the man had in his head. Blood was pouring out of it, and the scene looked like it came straight out of a horrormovie. However quickly, I regained my posture and began to pick up the gun. The weapon was cold and felt heavy to me and looked like the one I had used back when I was still training with Kaden.
A simple black gun who could do so much harm, now in my possession. Nervousness began to creep inside my whole body, and I slowly stood up again before walking a bit closer to Mr. Dalton and raising the gun. The sound of a gun loading immediately made Mr. Dalton turned around while keeping Jake right in front of him.
"Drop the gun, Mr. Dalton." I said once Mr. Dalton had turned around and was now facing me, nervousness laced my voice. Immediately all eyes in the room were fixed on me as I was now aiming the gun I was holding at my own boyfriend since Jake was standing directly in front of his father, the old man keeping him in place with the gun that he was pressing against his head.
Even though I had tried to sound as confident as possible, anyone who had eyes and knew how to use them could see how nervous I was. The gun I was holding was shaking, and I was completely pale. My heart felt like it was bursting out of my chest, and my sight had become somewhat blurred. There was no way this was going to end well.
"Oh please, as if you know how to use a gun." Mr. Dalton answered me before he began to laugh loudly. Amusement was clearly lacing the man's voice, and a big smirk was visible on his face.
"The chance that you will hit Jake is about 90%." He continued before locking eyes with me as I was aiming a gun at both him and his son. The merciless man narrowed his eyes to slits before giving me a challenging look.
"I'd like to see you try."
Suddenly, someone from behind Mr. Dalton began to talk, trying to talk some confidence in me.
"You can do this crying, baby. We've practiced this, remember?" Kaden spoke, pain evident in his voice. I switched my focus from Jake and Mr. Dalton to the guy who had been shot and immediately some confidence made its way into my body.
"Breathe, aim, and pull the trigger." Kaden spoke as soon as he noticed that he got my attention. Immediately, I softly nodded before looking at my boyfriend and Mr. Dalton once again.
A deep breath filled my lungs, I aimed as precise as I could, and without thinking twice, I pulled the trigger of the weapon I was holding. A loud booming sound immediately sounded through the room, followed by the sight of blood, lots of blood.
A loud scream sounded through the whole room. The kind of scream which would raise the hairs on your arm. The moment I had fired the bullet, both Jake and Mr. Dalton fell down to the ground. My heart began to beat loudly in my chest, and before I knew it, I was running full speed towards the two men on the ground.
If I had hit Jake, he needed help immediately, I didn't care that Mr. Dalton would probably kill me if the man was still alive. Immediately, I sank to my knees once I saw my boyfriend laying on the ground with both his eyes closed.
"Baby?" I softly whispered while hoping to get a reaction from him. Immediately, my eyes fell upon his cheek. A nasty scratch was covering the side of it, and blood was slowly pouring out of it. I had hit Jake.
However, the damage on his cheek wasn't half as bad as the gaping wound in Mr. Dalton's head. I had managed to shoot the man underneath his right eye, and while Jake's wound would only need a few stiches. Diego Dalton's wound killed him immediately. The old man was laying lifeless on the floor, his eyes still big and shocked because of me actually firing the bullet at them.
As soon as I reached for Jake's cheek in order to inspect how bad the wound was, he opened his eyes again before immediately hugging me once he saw me.
"You saved me." He exclaimed, a proud tone lacing his voice. Never in a million years would anyone have thought that I would be capable of killing someone. However, the lives of everyone I cared about had been on the line, and drastic situations call for drastic actions. I didn't have a choice if I wanted everyone to survive.
"W-well done, crying baby." Kaden managed to bring out before he closed his eyes for the last time before falling unconscious.
Immediately, Jake sprung up from his place and ran over to his brother. Kaden had lost a lot of blood and needed medical attention, right fucking now. Immediately Jake began to put pressure on Kaden's wound once again in order to not let any more blood pour out of it.
"Get Lex and Kaden in vehicle now! They both need surgery!" Jessy suddenly screamed, her inner surgeon taking over and bossing everyone around. Everyone was quick to do exactly as the girl had told them to.
Jake immediately picked up Kaden as carefully as possible while I ran over to put pressure on his wound while Jake carried him. Immediately, Jessy herself ran over towards where Lex was lying on the floor before a concerned look made its way onto her face. Immediately, Jessy picked up Lex as carefully as possible before quickly following the rest of us towards the cars.
Both Lex and Kaden needed surgery, or else they would surely die, and Jessy couldn't do both at the same time. Slowly, tears began to form into her eyes, and she squeezed them shut. This decision was like choosing between her two children, how the hell can you ever make a decision like that. However suddenly something clicked inside her head and she quickened the pace in which she was running towards the car even more. There was a way she could save them both.
As Jake and I were making our way out of the room while making sure that Kaden lost as little blood as possible, I decided to turn around one last time. I was immediately met with the lifeless eyes of Mr. Dalton stared at me. This man had tried to ruin my whole life. Mr Dalton had been the person who had been responsible for Sina's death, Isabella Dalton's death, and probably many more.
The man was nothing but a heartless monster, and thus, it did not pain me to look into the eyes of the one who I had killed. The man deserved death, more than anyone else on this planet. Not once will I cry because I killed someone that someone had it coming anyway.
It didn't take long for all of us to reach the hospital wing. We had driven there as fast as we could, and once we had arrived in the gang, Jake had arranged some of the members to wait for us with two stretchers. Immediately, both injured lovers had been placed on the stretchers as carefully as possible before Jessy had ordered the members to bring them to the operation room.
I immediately sprung into nurse mode as soon as we had entered the building. I was more than ready to assist Jessy in both surgeries, and I walked after Jessy as fast as I could. However, a concerned look slowly began to form on my face. Who the fuck would we operate first? Both lovers needed surgery as soon as possible and Jessy and I couldn't do both at the same time.
"Who are we operating first?" I asked, concern clearly lacing my voice. All the others were currently walking into the hospitalwing, and immediately Jessy turned around while an idiotic weird grin was covering her face.
"Listen carefully to what I'm going to tell you, Mc." She began to speak while her grin slowly disappeared and a serious look took over.
"Both Lex and Kaden need surgery right now." She said, and I softly nodded, not understanding where she was going with this conversation. Suddenly, Jessy placed both her hands on my shoulders and gripped them firmly.
"We're gonna have to split up if we want to save them both." She said, a serious tone lacing her voice. Immediately, a confused look became visible on my face. How would splitting up help? I am not a surgeon... I can't do stuff like that, right?
"Jessy, I can't-" I began to speak while uncertainty was lacing my voice. However, I immediately got cut off by Jessy.
"Yes, you can." She said, confidence lacing her voice. Slowly, she turned around while gesturing at Kaden. He was still lying unconscious on the stretcher while Sam was putting pressure on the wound.
"Kaden has been shot in his shoulder." Jessy spoke towards me. I nodded in response.
"He needs a surgery you've done before, the one on Jake." She spoke very clearly while making sure I knew exactly what it was that she was talking about.
"Remember?"
Immediately, I nodded. Of course, I remembered the surgery Jessy and I had performed on Jake. Those moments had been one of the scariest in my life. The thought of losing Jake had absolutely terrified me.
"You can do that one yourself. You've done it before." Jessy spoke before walking over towards the stretcher Lex was laying on. The smaller girl clearly needed a much more complicated surgery, which is exactly the reason why Jessy had to do that one herself.
"Make me proud."

Anxious, that was the best word to describe the feeling inside of my body right now. I had driven Jake's car towards the place Lex's kidnappers had mentioned in the text, and I slowly started to think if this had been the right thing to do. Maybe Kaden would have had a better chance at succeeding than I did.
I had left in such a hurry that I had forgotten to take anything with me. I had no phone, no gun, and no backup. I was completely on my own, and there would be no one to save Lex once the kidnappers had shot a bullet through my head. I mean, that's what those people wanted to happen, right? Kaden had said so himself, it's me they're after, not Lex. This is exactly the reason why Lex had to get out of here as soon as possible. She had done nothing wrong.
Slowly, I began to open the car door of the big black mercedes I had driven here. My heart was rapidly beating in my chest, and my breathing had become irregular. This was it. Within less than an hour, I would be nothing more than a memory. A lifeless piece of meat who had once been a happy person full of dreams and things I still wanted to do. In less than an hour, I would meet the same fate that my sister had met. In less than an hour, both of us would be gone forever.
I slowly took a deep breath of air before getting out of the car and noticing my surroundings. I was currently standing in the middle of nowhere in front of a huge old factory. A lot of ivy was covering the sides of the building, and some holes could be spotted in the walls. The old factory looked like it could collapse any minute, and slowly, I began to wonder if this was truly the place Lex was being held captive.
There is no way anyone would willingly enter this dangerous place, right? What if the roof would cave in? Who would willingly risk their live by entering this building? However, as soon as I had gotten out of the car, two men dressed in black suits came rushing out of the old building, both of them wearing sly smirks on their faces.
"No fucking way, it's actually her." One of the men in black said as the two of them got closer to me, amusement clearly lacing his voice. Both men increased the speed they were walking in and within a few seconds they were standing directly in front of me.
I swallowed thickly, and the nervousness I was feeling inside my chest increased tenfold. One of these men would most likely be the one responsible for my death. One of these men would surely be hunted down by Jake, who would want nothing more but revenge for the death of me. It didn't matter to me. However, I had come here with one goal only. Save Lex. The rest didn't matter.
"Yeah, boss, we've got her." One of the men in black said while pressing a button on the earpiece he was wearing. Slowly, I looked up and carefully took in both men's faces.
A sting of shock shot through my body once I looked at the person on the right. I knew that man's face. I had no idea from where, but I was pretty sure I had seen his face before. If only I could remember I would be prepared about what was yet to come. I wasn't dumb. These two men were just tools to the real big bad boss who was currently still hiding somewhere. These two were nothing more but some pions while their boss was the gameleader.
"Search her for any weapons." The man on the left commanded the other one, and the familiar man immediately started to pat every spot on my body. Slowly, I closed my eyes and let the man feel every part of my body while he was looking for any kind of things I had brought here.
A small smile began to form on my face upon realising the irony of the whole situation. These people really thought I had actually been smart enough to take something with me, which would help me defend myself. Oh, how I wished I had been that smart.
A few tears immediately began to form into my eyes once the man began to search me in the kind of places I had never allowed anyone to touch except for my boyfriend. That man surely must know I couldn't possibly hide something down there, right? Slowly, I looked at the man who was searching me only to notice a devilish smirk proudly decorating his face.
I swallowed thickly and closed my eyes completely to try and block the feeling of the one who was currently touching me out. I couldn't do anything against it anyway. It was way too late to back out now, and besides, I couldn't leave Lex here to die. I had come too far to leave my best friend now.
Lex was my main priority. It didn't matter what would happen to me as long as she came out of this alive. She had always had my back. It was time to return the favor even if it meant that that would cost me my life.
"She's got nothing on her." The man who had previously been searching me spoke after a few minutes.
Suddenly, I got grabbed harshly on my arms by both men in black suits, and I had to do my best in order to keep quiet and not scream out in pain. Both men were practically crushing my arms with no reason at all. I wouldn't run away when Lex was still here. They surely must know that, right?
Both men began to guide me towards the entrance of the big old factory and a nervous feeling once again began to spread through my body. Every step I took brought me closer to death. Every breath I took might possibly be my last. Oh, how I wished I would have had the chance to say goodbye to my loved ones.
Soon, all three of us were standing in front of a big metal door. Quickly, one of the men who was holding me released my arm and began to push the big silver doorhandle down before pushing it open. The other man immediately began to pull me through it, and within no time, all three of us were standing inside a big empty hall. Well, it's almost empty then.
At the very back of the big dark room was a single chair placed with a certain girl sitting on it. A big rope surrounded her small arms and torso, and her head hung low. Puddles of blood were surrounding the small black chair, and the girl sitting on top of it looked completely lifeless. Not a single bodypart of Lex was moving, or at least trying to move.
"Lex..." I softly whispered once the men brought me near the girl who was sitting on the black chair.
Immediately, the girl's head shot up upon hearing my voice, and a scared look could be seen on her face. Lex's face was exactly like it had been on the picture on Kaden's phone. One of her eyes was completely surrounded by a big black spot, and a few deep cuts were decorating her face. The big wound on her head, however, was completely new, and I was pretty sure that hadn't been visible on the picture I had seen earlier today.
"No, Mc. Run!" Lex exclaimed once she took notice of me when I was standing inside the room with her. A look of complete horror began to quickly form on her face, and she harshly began to shake her head.
"Lex, don't. You'll only hurt your head more if you do that." I spoke before ripping my arm from the grip of one of the black clothed men, and I quickly ran towards my best friend. I immediately sank to my knees upon reaching Lex and harshly began to pull on the rope that was completely covering her torso.
"It's no use. Get out of here while you still can!" Lex suddenly whisper shouted close to my ear in order for the other men to not hear what she had just said. A confused look began to make its way upon my face, and I slowly stopped tugging at the rope that was keeping my friend tied to the black chair.
"Run before he gets you. He'll arrive any minute now!" Lex whisper shouted again before her eyes became as big as saucers.
A loud booming sound of a big door closing sounded through the whole room, and I immediately halted my actions. This was it. I was finally on the verge of meeting the person who had tried to make my life as miserable as possible. After all those long months, I would finally get an answer to the question that had been roaming my mind for months now. Finally, every dirty little secret would reveal itself.
Suddenly, a cold round object was pressed against the back of my head, and I slowly began to raise both my hands to show whoever it was that was pressing a gun against my head that I was unweaponed.
"Turn around!" One of the men in black shouted through the room, and I swallowed deeply before slowly standing up from the place I was kneeling, my hands still defenselessly raised in the air.
Quickly, I took a deep breath before slowly turning around to face whoever it was that was pressing the gun against my head. A shocked feeling immediately began to form on my face upon looking in the familiar icy blue eyes of the man who was standing so close in front of me. My eyes slowly began to grow big, and I was at a complete loss for words.
"No, but that can't be... You?" I managed to bring out, and a sly smirk began to form on the man's face, clearly enjoying the situation.
"Why?" I asked while disbelief was lacing my voice, still completely in shock. The man in front of me began to laugh loudly, and the sound boomed through the whole room.
"Yes, me. Did you expect anyone else?"
Suffocated. That's exactly how I felt at the moment. My whole life felt like a nightmare at the moment. Lex was on the verge of passing out, a gun was being held against my head, and tears were streaming out of my eyes.
Powerless. That's what I was at this exact moment. Lex and I were in great danger, and there was nothing I could do. The man standing in front of me would put a bullet through both our heads the moment I would make a wrong move.
Icy blue. A color I had grown to love over the months I had gotten to know my boyfriend. The beautiful color of my boyfriend's eyes was one of the many things I liked about Jake. Yet here I was, looking at the color I had grown to love so much as if it was poison. I would never be able to look at those beautiful, icy blue eyes again while not thinking of this moment.
Why? Why was this all necessary? Should I have stayed in prison? Should I have done things differently? Would it have made a difference? At least a thousand questions were roaming my thoughts. However, there was one that topped all the others. How could you betray your own family like this? How could you live knowing you ruined multiple people's lives? How could you do this to your own son?
"Mr. Dalton... Why?" I asked, a scared tone lacing my voice. Immediately, the powerful laugh of my boyfriend's father sounded through the room while the man was softly shaking his head. Power was radiating from the man's aura, and it somehow made me even more scared than I already was. How could you be so heartless?
"Well, well, well, if it isn't my son's dumb girlfriend." Mr. Dalton said, amusement lacing his voice. Slowly, the man lowered his gun before harshly grabbing my chin and squeezing it painfully.
"You're even dumber than I thought you were." The man spoke before harshly pushing my face to the side. Quickly, I bit my lip in order to not make any sound while tears were streaming out of my eyes.
"You know, I always thought you were the smarter one of the Estrada's sisters." Mr. Dalton said before releasing me from his grip and taking a step back.
"Turns out you're just as dumb as your sister was." The man said, amusement lacing his voice again. Quickly, I began to shake my head fiercly.
"I don't understand. Why would you do this to your own sons?" I softly whispered, a scared tone lacing my voice. Mr. Dalton really had no remorse. The man was basically the devil himself.
"Let me explain something to you before I decorate that pretty face of yours with a bullet." Mr. Dalton spoke loudly before he slowly began to pace in front of me. Carefully, I looked up a bit, only to see a wicked smile prominent on the man's face.
There was absolutely no way this man was related to my boyfriend or Kaden at all. Sure, Jake looked a lot like the man who was standing in front of me, but the both of them were completely different when it came to character. Jake was sweet and caring while his father was merciless and a monster. How could he have possibly created someone as caring as Jake?
"You see, your sister has cost me a lot of money." The merciless man said before kneeling down in front of Lex and harshly slapping her cheeks in order to check if she was still alive.
Immediately, Lex began to move a bit while pained noises left her mouth. I slowly began to move in order to help my friend. However, the other men who were with Mr. Dalton was quick to pull out a gun and aim it at my face.
"Your sister even had the audacity to give us away to the police and she made sure my son got locked up behind bars." Mr. Dalton spoke, an angry tone now lacing his voice. The man clearly became angry again upon thinking of what my sister had done...
"In this environment, however, every wrong step comes with a price." The man spoke before starting to laugh like maniac.
"And your sister did make a few." He continued, a hint of amusement now visible in his eyes. However, the amusement soon was completely gone from his face, and he was up in my face within a split second.
"I had one of my man track her down, and I found her by the river, completely bloody and crying hysterically, which is ironic since I hadn't even done anything to her yet." Mr. Dalton said, annoyance clearly lacing his voice.
"Of course, as soon as she saw me, she immediately apologized and started to beg for her life. However, as soon as I mentioned your name, the only thing she wanted was for you to be safe." The man continued, an evil smile once again present on his face.
"Unfortunately for you though your sister had cost me millions and thus taking her life wouldn't be enough payment for what she had done." He spoke clearly before softly wiping away the tears that streamed out of my eyes with his thumb.
Immediately, I began to shake my head fiercely upon feeling the touch of my sister's killer. An annoyed look quickly formed onto the man's face, and he harshly grabbed my head.
"I stabbed her with a knive multiple times, even after she had stopped screaming." The man whispered closely to my face. Soft cries left my mouth, and tears began to escape my eyes again. My sister's fate had been worse than death. She had been tortured to the point she had been screaming for help.
"After I was done I had one of my man sabotage the knive I used to kill your sister and place it in your house, after that I send a tip to the police and within no time you had been taken into custody." Mr. Dalton said before letting go of my face.
I was now full-on crying upon learning what had really happened the night my beloved sister had died. How she had pleaded for this monster to kill her instead of harming me. I wouldn't stand a chance against Mr. Dalton, but I hoped Jake and Kaden would find out about all of this.
"The reason why you have been framed for her murder is because I wanted to make your life as miserable as possible. That was your sister's final payment." Mr. Dalton spat out the words like they were venom on his tongue. This man had done everything within his possibilty to ruin both my sister's and my life. This man wasn't a monster. He was way worse than that.
"Of course, however, fate had to work against me and make you my son's new cellmate." The man continued, a bitter tone now lacing his voice.
"And that worthless piece of shit had to fall in love with you and take you back with him to the gang. He turned out to be just like Kaden. Another worthless deal to me." Mr. Dalton said before locking eyes with me.
"In our environment, having someone you love is seen as a weakness, and ever since you came into my son's life, he has been very careful with his actions in order to keep you safe. Which again has cost me a lot of money." The man slowly walked a bit closer to me again, a hateful look clearly displayed on his face.
"With you out of the way, Jake will be back to his old self in no time, and he will make me loads of money again." Mr. Dalton said before taking his own gun out of his pocket again and aiming it at me.
I swallowed thickly, and my breathing became unsteady. Within now and a few moments, a silver bullet would be shot through my head, and I would be nothing more than a lifeless body.
"Untie the other bitch!" Mr. Dalton screamed in an angry tone and immediately both men went to work and untied Lex from the chair she had been bound to.
An evil look quickly began to form onto the man's face, and he slowly stalked over towards the chair Lex was still sitting on. Mr. Dalton harshly grabbed her chin and smiled wickely when he noticed the weak look on the small girl's face.
"I'll let you live if you can make it out of this building within ten minutes." The merciless man spoke clearly while squeezing the girl's chin even harder than before. Red marks slowly began to form on Lex's face. However, she was too weak to resist.
"If not, then you can watch your friend die before I kill you." Mr. Dalton spoke, well aware of the fact that Lex would be too weak to even take one step towards the exit of the building.
As soon as the man released the girl's chin from his grip, Lex softly closed her eyes and fell onto the ground unconscious. Her body had finally given up on her. She was too weak to even stay awake. Only a miracle would be able to save her now.
Mr. Dalton began to laugh wickedly while he watched Lex fall to the ground. I, however, was full-on crying right now. Everything had been for nothing. I would be killed in the next few seconds, and after me, Lex would meet the same fate. Quickly, Mr. Dalton began to load his gun before aiming it at me once again.
"Prepare to die." The man said in an evil tone while amusement was clearly lacing his voice. Quickly, I squeezed my eyes shut while my heart picked up its pace drastically. Is this really how my life was going to end?
A loud gunshot could be heard through the whole room, followed by the sound of a body hitting the ground. The sound of a body hitting the ground sounded through the whole room, followed by the sound of multiple guns shooting bullets. Quickly, I opened my eyes again, now seeing that Mr. Dalton had lowered his gun and was standing with his back turned towards me.
The man was clearly surprised by all the sudden commotion in the room, and a rush of adrenaline rushed through my veins. This was my chance to escape. This was my chance to save not only myself but Lex as well. Quickly, I turned around, looking for any place to hide. Soon, my eyes landed on a table that was flipped on the side and looked like the perfect spot to hide.
A hopeful feeling began to quickly form into my chest, and without thinking twice, I ran over to Lex and began to drag her with me towards the flipped table. Of course, I knew that a table wouldn't be able to stop bullets if they were fired at us, but at least the two of us would be out of sight.
Soon, both of us reached the table, and carefully, I began to check if Lex was still alive. Her breathing had become irregular, and she had been unconcious for quite some time now. It was clear as a day to me that my my friend needed medical help as soon as possible.
"Surrender or die fucking rats!" The voice of Jake suddenly screamed through the room, followed by the sound of bullets once again flying through the room. A warm feeling began to form into my chest at the sound of my boyfriend's voice and I quickly began to think of a plan to get his attention. Lex needed to get out of here as soon possible. Our friends needed to know where we were.
I swallowed deeply before slowly and carefully sticking my head slightly up in order to look over the table. A shocked look immediately made its way on my face upon noticing one of the guards laying lifeless on the ground while a big red puddle of blood was surrounding his body. Immediately, I began to feel sick upon noticing the big shotwound right between the man's eyes. Blood was still pouring out of it, and slowly, the puddle of blood became bigger and bigger.
However, a hopeful feeling also made its way into my chest upon noticing all of our friends. Everyone had come to save us. Jake and Kaden were shooting bullets nonstop while slowly getting closer to Mr. Dalton and his last man, while Asher, Sam, and Dan were covering them. Jessy could be seen behind Sam and Asher, a medical bag in her hand, and she was looking through the room while trying to find me and Lex.
Softly, I began to shake my head and tried to focus on getting Jessy's attention. However, before any of that was even possible, a piercing scream sounded through the room, followed by the sound of someone falling on the ground.
The next few moments felt like they were in slow motion for me. I slowly became completely pale as I saw Kaden fall to the ground while dropping his gun and grabbing his shoulder. A red stain began to show through his t-shirt, slowly getting bigger and bigger. He had been shot badly.
.
Jake focus.
.
Without thinking twice, I shot down the other man who was doing his best to defend my father and ran towards my brother before dropping down on my knees next to him. Immediately, I began to put pressure on the wound while painful sounds left Kaden's mouth.
"Hold on, you'll get through this." I said, uncertainty clearly lacing my voice while looking at Kaden. Kaden was clearly panicking and a painfull look was visible on his face, this wasn't good.
"Jessy!" I screamed, panic clearly hearable in my voice. Immediately, the girl began to run towards where Kaden was laying but halted her steps immediately upon noticing my father's next move and shouting a loud.
"Jake, watch out!"
Right at that moment, panic quickly began to overtake Mr. Dalton. Both his men were dead, and he was now left to fight for his own life. However, there was no way he would go down tonight. In a split second, he noticed his son kneeling down beside his other son with his back turned towards him, and he ran over to Jake while a wicked smile began to form on his face. He had never liked this new soft version of Jake anyway. Harshly, the old man grabbed his son by his hair and pulled him up before aiming his gun at his son's head.
"Drop your fucking weapons or Jake dies!" My father shouted through the whole room. Immediately everyone halted their steps and everyone who was holding a gun put them on the ground, not willing to risk my life.
Meanwhile, the stain on Kaden's shirt was slowly getting bigger and bigger, and Lex's breathing had become more irregular. It wouldn't take long before, for both of their bodies would give up on them without medical attention. Someone had to do something quickly, or Jake wouldn't be the only one in danger.
"Mr. Dalton, you don't want to do this to your own son." Dan softly spoke while both his hands were in the air, and a disbelieving tone was lacing his voice.
"Shut up, he is no son of mine!" The panicked old man shouted through the room while pulling a bit harder on my hair and pressing the gun deeper in my temple.
A shocked yet pained feeling was clearly visible on my face. Shocked, because my father had not only tried to kill my brother, my brother's girlfriend, and my own girlfriend, but now me as well. It was pained because my father was hurting me. A lot. Pained because I failed to help my brother, who was now laying on the floor while painful sounds kept leaving his mouth. Pained, because my father had been responsible for everything.
"You're weak, just like your mother was." My father suddenly whispered inside my ear, and immediately my eyes became big, anger clearly visible in them.
No one talked like this about my mother, and I would make sure that this monster who had dared to call himself my father would know that.
"Pretty Isabella Dalton, who killed herself at the young age of 29 by jumping off the roof of my gang." The merciless man spoke in an amused tone before an evil laugh escaped his mouth.
"Want to know a little secret about her before I shoot a bullet through your head little piece of shit?"

A tense silence filled the whole meeting room. Nobody knew what to say after the information Jake had just shared with us.
The only way they would get their friend back was by giving those fuckers their other friend. No way that was going to happen, and besides, who said they would release Lex once they gave them Mc?
"Well, what are we waiting for then?" Jessy suddenly said, breaking the silence. Her voice was filled with anger, and yet a scared look could be seen on her face.
"Let's go there together. They surely can't handle all of us!" She said, determination lacing her voice. As soon as those words left her mouth, Kaden immediately began to shake his head fiercly. He was clearly not approving his friend's plan at all.
"You don't get it, Jessy." Kaden spoke, sadness clearly lacing his voice. He looked like he had been run over by a truck. His hair was a mess, his eyes were red, and his clothes looked like he had put on the first thing he could get his hands on.
Lex had been Kaden's everything as soon as he had met her. Living without his girlfriend was not an option for him. No way in hell he would let anyone hurt his precious blue haired shortie without facing the consequences.
"The text clearly says," Mc has to come alone, or they will shoot Lex before we even get the chance to save her. "" Kaden said while an angry look slowly began to form on his face.
A disappointed look quickly formed onto Jessy's face, and she slowly hung her head low. She had known Lex for years, yet she was forced to sit back and do nothing while Lex needed her. Of course, she knew that she couldn't risk Lex's life by deciding to show up anyway, but she refused to accept the fact that there wouldn't be another way she could help. Like hell, she was gonna sit back and do nothing.
"How about we use Mc as bait?" Dan suddenly said before looking to his right and taking Jessy's hand in his own and softly squeezing it. His girlfriend clearly needed all the support she could get right now.
Even though Dan had only known Mc for a couple of months now, he too cared for the girl deeply, but he also cared for Lex. Which is exactly what they needed to focus on right now, get Lex back.
Jake immediately formed an angry look on his face upon hearing the words Dan had just spoken, and he went to stand in front of me protectively.
"Are you out of your mind? She's not going anywhere!" Jake angrily spoke towards Dan.
Jake loved Lex, of course he did, but he wasn't willing to put Mc's life in danger in order to save his friend or anyone for that matter. Mc wasn't going anywhere while Jake was still alive. He would protect her at all costs.
Dan softly began to shake his head before standing up.
"I didn't mean it like that Jake, I know we can't risk both their lives but we're having a serious crisis here and we all need to try to fix it, including that girlfriend of yours." Dan spoke before quickly walking towards where Kaden and Jake were standing.
"We can use Mc to get Lex's kidnappers out of the building they want us to go to, then when we're about to exchange Mc and Lex, we attack and quickly speed off." Dan explained his plan, and immediately Kaden began to shake his head again.
"I'm not gonna risk Mc's life like that, Lex would've killed me if I agreed to such a thing if she had been here." Kaden spoke while a small smile formed on his face.
Mc had become Lex's best friend over the past few months, and Kaden knew how much Lex cared about her. Never in a million years would Lex agree to this kind of plan, or any plan involving risking Mc's life. Lex would rather die than let someone die for her. She was too soft, and the feeling of regret would kill her.
"I'm going there alone tonight." Kaden suddenly said, determination lacing his voice. Immediately, all eyes in the room turned towards him.
"I can't sit back and do nothing. She's my everything." He said before a few tears escaped his eyes again and rolled down his cheeks. Immediately, Jake left his spot behind me and walked over to his crying brother.
"I'm coming with you." Jake said before a few tears escaped his eyes, too. Kaden immediately began to shake his head again.
"Don't you get it, bro?" Kaden said while looking his brother in the eyes.
"They're not after Lex. She's just bait." He continued before breaking eye contact and slowly locking his eyes with me while I was sitting behind Jake.
Panic immediately began to rise within me as soon as I noticed Kaden's stare. His eyes were filled with sadness and anger, something I completely understood. Lex and Kaden had always been super close ever since I had gotten the chance to meet both of them. These two were each other's whole life, and thus, they wouldn't be able to live without the other. Their broken heart would kill them.

"It's Mc they're after." Kaden continued once he broke eye contact with Mc again and looked towards me once more.
"You can't leave her here unprotected. We can't lose them both." He said before slowly releasing himself from the hug I was giving him.
I myself was now full-on crying after hearing my brother's words. I knew Kaden's words were true and that I couldn't leave Mc unprotected. However, that did mean I couldn't go and save Lex together with Kaden, which meant that my brother would be going there alone. In a few hours, Kaden would be facing Lex's kidnappers, and I would be able to do nothing but pray for them both to come out of this alive.
"That's basically commiting suicide Kaden." I said, tears streaming out of my eyes and rolling down my cheeks.
Kaden had been my everything in family matters ever since both of us were still little boys when our mother left us. Our bond with each other was so strong, and this situation sucked. How do you choose between protecting the love of your life and brother? The answer to that was simple, I couldn't, and thus Kaden had decided for me. My brother was going alone, and there wasn't anything I could do to change his mind. Hell, if I had been the one in Kaden's situation, I would have done the same, so in a way, I could even understand his decision.
"Wait, no way we're going to let you go alone." Dan suddenly spoke while standing up from his chair, a concerned look visible on his face. Jessy immediately began to nod her head and stood up too.
"I agree, you can't go alone. That's way too dangerous." She said while tears started to form in her eyes again.
"This isn't something up for discussion, guys." Kaden answered while looking towards Dan and Jessy. He had a sad look on his face, and yet a small smile was present on his face too.
"Me and Lex love you all so much, and thus I have to go alone." He spoke while looking at everyone in the room directly in the eyes.
"Both of us would never forgive ourselves if any of you got hurt because of us." Kaden finished while a single lonely tear slipped out of his eye and rolled down his cheek.
"Raise some hell for me, brother." I said before tightly hugging my brother again, possibly for the last time.
It would be unlikely Kaden would come out of this unharmed, and even though I didn't want anything more than see both of my friends back alive, I knew there was only a small chance that would happen. Kaden would be on his own with no one to cover for him, and even though my brother was one of the most skilled fighters in the gang, he would be an easy target on his own. Nevertheless, this was how Kaden wanted it to happen, and thus, I had no choice but to accept his decision
A loud sob left Asher's mouth, and a few tears escaped Sam's eyes as well. All of them knew what it meant if Kaden was going there alone. Meanwhile, Jessy completely broke down, and even though Dan tried his best to stay strong, he silently began to cry, too. The feeling of not being able to do anything was too overwhelming. We would lose two of our closest members. I would lose my brother.
"I will." Kaden answered me before thightly hugging me back, also knowing this would possibly be the last time. But I understood that he didn't have a choice, however. He couldn't leave Ldx when she needed him the most.

I was carefully reading the text Kaden had received. His phone was still laying on the table I was sitting at, and chills ran down my spine the moment Lex's beaten up face and worn-out expression came into view again. Lex was my best friend, I couldn't do anything. It was me they wanted, right? Then it was me they were going to get. Lex wasn't going to die because of me, I couldn't let that happen.
"I'll go and get Lex back." I suddenly said, surprising everyone inside the meetingroom. I quickly stood up from the chair I was sitting on, and tears gathered in my eyes quickly.
"It's me they want, right?" I spoke. A few tears escaped my eyes and rolled down on my cheeks. I had to do this, I couldn't do anything.
"Baby, calm down." Jake quickly said once I was finished. He walked towards me and took me in a tight hug while carressing my back. Of course, Jake knew how hard this must be for me. Lex was my best friend, and the fact that she was possibly going to die when it was me they were really after was a heavy burden to carry.
"I know how hard this is for you." Jake softly whispered into my ear while still carressing my back. I softly began to cry and hugged my boyfriend back.
A feeling of guilt slowly began to overtake my body. It was because of me that Lex had been kidnapped. They wanted me not Lex, and yet Lex would be the one who was going to die. It should be me in that situation, not my best friend.
"Why don't you go back to the apartment while we try to figure it out, hm?" Jake whispered in my ear again before softly pressing a kiss against my forehead.
Tears kept streaming out of my eyes, and I slowly looked up towards my boyfriend. Jake was looking at me with a loving yet sad smile on his face. I slowly looked down before nodding my head a bit. Quickly, Jake hugged me again before escorting me out of the room.
Within no time, I was on my way back to my and Jake's shared apartment. My mind was still filled with the awful picture on Kaden's phone. Lex had been someone so innocent and loving, yet she was trapped in a situation like this. Soon, my best friend would be nothing more than a memory, and tears slowly started to escape my eyes again.
I had been so caught up in my mind that I only noticed I had reached the apartment when I was standing directly in front of it. With shaking hands, I opened the door of the apartment and walked to the kitchen to get myself a glass of water, hoping it would calm me down a bit.
This whole situation was my fault. If I had just stayed inside that damn prison, nothing would have happened. Lex wouldn't have been kidnapped, Kaden wouldn't have to save her, and everyone would have been happy.
As soon as I entered the kitchen, I noticed Jake's car keys laying on the table. A spark of hope immediately rose within me, and I slowly walked towards them. This all didn't have to happen. I could save both Lex and Kaden. Slowly, I took the car keys from the table they were laying on and examined them. Was this a smart idea? Probably not, but I couldn't let Lex down.
Quickly, I got a paper and a pen and began to write a note for when Jake came home. Of course, Jake would be heartbroken, but I knew he was strong. He would overcome his grief and move on eventually. He had to. After writing a letter to Jake telling him where I went, I picked up the car keys again and exited the apartment. I couldn't let Lex die when it was me they wanted. Determination was rushing through my vains, and a serious look was displayed on my face.
"Don't worry Lex, I'm coming."

It had been about 10 minutes after Mc had left the meeting room. All the others were still discussing the best tactic to get Lex back in one piece without having to send Kaden there alone. Of course, each of us knew there wasn't another way, but we just couldn't help but refuse to accept the fact that both of them would most likely die tonight.
"I won't sit around while you're risking your life to try and save Lex." Asher said as he suddenly stood up from the chair he was sitting on. Immediately, Sam put a supporting arm around his shoulder. Even though Asher didn't have to stay in the hospitalwing anymore, he still had a long way to go before he was completely back to his old self.
"I agree, she might be your girlfriend, but she is our friend too." Sam backed his boyfriend up. Both of them had determined looks on their faces.
"I know what it's like to almost lose the one who means the most to you." Sam continued, now speaking directly to Kaden.
"You feel so alone and like the whole world is against you." He continued while he slowly removed his hand from his boyfriend's back and began to walk towards where Kaden was standing. Softly, he put his hand on his shoulder as soon as he was standing directly in front of him.
"But you're not alone. You've got us." He finished before softly squeezing Kaden's shoulder. A sad smile began to form on Kaden's face, and he softly began to shake his head.
"I won't let any of you guys risk your lives." He spoke before looking around the room with a serious look on his face.
"Lex is my priority, Mc should be all of yours." He said before focusing directly on me. I softly began to nod, clearly knowing exactly what it was that Kaden meant. Slowly, I began to walk towards the middle of the room while a soft sigh left my mouth.
"We all know Mc has been framed for the murder of her sister, and up to this day, it remains unclear what exactly has happened that night." I began to speak while looking at each person in the room individually. A serious look briefly crossed my face before I focused on Kaden again.
"Lately, Lex has been working her ass off to try and find that out, and we believe that she had finally figured it all out." I spoke while softly looking down. I felt extremely responsible for the fact that Lex was gone. If I had just kept her inside the gang, none of this would have happened.
I had been stupid. She knew almost everything about what had happened the night of the murder of Mc's sister. Of course, the killer would want her gone because of that fact. Even though it was Mc they were really after something inside me told me that they wouldn't mind if they also had the chance to get rid of Lex.
"Kaden and I strongly believe that Lex has been kidnapped because she knows too much." I continued while a sad look briefly crossed my face.
"Even though the kidnappers are after Mc, they will never let Lex go this easily." I finished before slowly looking down. This whole situation was terrible. There was no way everyone would come out of it unharmed. Hell, Lex had already been beaten up, and god only knows what else they had done to her.
"Mc is your main priority, I'll try to get Lex to safety." Kaden backed me up while slowly walking towards me and standing right next to me. Of course, Kaden didn't like this plan either, but he had no choice. The more people he took to get Lex back, the earlier the kidnappers would see them as a threat and kill the girl without any chance of us reaching her.
After a while of Jessy coming up with a few other plans to get Lex without Kaden having to go alone and Kaden refusing them all, I had finally wrapped up the meeting. All of us present were having a hard time and thus I thought it would be best to stop talking about the subject all together.
There was no other way, Kaden was going there alone, and even though the thought of losing my brother already brought tears to my eyes, I understood his choice. I would have done exactly the same if it had been Mc who was kidnapped.
Right now, I was on my way back to my apartment. Mc had left the meeting earlier than the rest of us since she had looked really pale and obviously shocked at the fact that she would probably never see her best friend ever again. Lex had been Mc's best friend ever since brunette had joined the gang. The two instantly clicked, and it remained like that ever since. Soon, I was standing directly in front of my apartment, and I quickly opened the door.
"Mc!" I shouted as soon as I made my way through the front door. I raised one eyebrow the moment no answer came back, and I quickly closed the front door of our apartment.
"I'm home!" I shouted again in case she hadn't heard me the first time.
A confused look quickly began to make its way onto my face as I again didn't get a response from my girl. Where the hell could that girl be? I had told her clearly to go back to our apartment, right? Sure, she hadn't looked well when she had left the meeting room, but that didn't mean that she had lost her way when she tried to go back to our shared apartment, right?
Soon, I walked into the kitchen and raised both eyebrows when I noticed a small white paper laying on our dinner table. The paper was laying on the edge of the table and looked like it wanted to be found. Quickly, I walked towards it and picked it up.
Dear Jake,
I know that you must be wondering where I am, as I told you I was going back to our apartment. I did go back here, as you can see by this letter, but on my way back, I couldn't get Lex's face out of my thoughts. When I was sentenced to life in prison, I truly believed my life was over. I lost all my friends and almost all my family that day, until the day I met you. You gave meaning to my life once again and even showed me a whole new side of the words friendship, love, and family. I mean, that is what we all are inside this gang, right? One big family.
If there is one thing I've learned these past few months since we have left that awfull prison it's that you never turn your back on family, which is exactly the reason why I am not here now. I know you probably will hate me for this, but I've gone to give myself in exchange for Lex.
Please don't cry. This was my decision to make. Thank you so much for all the wonderful moments I've spent with you. You guys have given me back my freedom, and I think it's time to return the favor now. It was all borrowed time anyway. Tell the others I love them from the bottom of my heart and make sure to tell them that I'm so thankful for everything they have done for me.
Jake, I love you so much, and even though our time together was short, just know that you're the one I love the most! - Mc.
Slowly, the paper began to slip from the loose grip in which I was holding it. A few tears dropped onto the white paper and began to blur the blue ink before it fell out of my grip completely and fell down to the ground.
Tears were streaming out of my eyes, yet no sound could be heard. Words couldn't describe how broken I felt at this moment. Slowly, I began to sink to my knees, and my head hung low. Loud sobs began to leave my mouth, and tears were rolling down my cheeks.
Mc was my everything. All my life, I had focused on nothing but making money. My whole life revolved around making as much money as possible. That was the way I was raised up, and even though my friends had tried to show me multiple times that money wasn't the only thing that was important in life, I had never known differently. Until the day I had met Mc.
Mc had been the first person who had captured my whole heart. Within our first week inside the prison, I had formed a soft spot for my cellmate, and the more time the two of us had spent together, the more I began to like her. The both of us had been through heaven and hell together. There was no way I would be able to ever live without her.
Slowly, I began to reach inside my black jeans, trying to get my phone out. I had to tell the others about what had happened. Not only was Lex in danger now, but Mc was as well. This wasn't about keeping one of the two of them safe anymore. There was a high chance both of them wouldn't survive, and that was one thing I wouldn't ever let happen.
As if I was acting on automatic pilot modus, I pressed Kaden's contact, and almost immediately, my phone began to make loud beeping noises, indicating I had to wait for my brother to pick up A few rings later, the familiar voice of my brother sounded through the phone.
"Hello?" Kaden spoke, a questioning tone lacing his voice. It had only been about 30 minutes that the two of us had last seen each other, so of course Kaden was questioning as to why I had decided to call him.
"She's gone." I said while a few tears escaped my eyes and rolled down my cheeks. A mixture of anxiousness and anger could be heard in my voice.
Of course, I was mad, Mc was in danger because some shitfaces decided to kidnap her best friend. However, I was also scared as hell. What the hell was I supposed to do if I lost Mc? I couldn't lose the most important person in my life again. I had already been through this shit when my mother had passed away, I sure as hell wouldn't survive it again.
"Who?" Kaden asked on the other side of the phone, a questioning tone lacing his voice. He clearly didn't hear the sobs that left my mouth every once in a while. It was understandable he didn't, though. Kaden was going through the exact same shit as me. Both our girlfriends' lives were in danger. Of course, that was the only thing on our minds right now.
"Mc, she left to exchange herself for Lex." I answered my brother, who in return became death silent. A loud sob left my mouth again, and tears streamed down my face.
"You're joking, right?" He answered back after a few moments, clearly speechless after hearing the news I had just told him.
Mc and Lex were by far the most vulnerable members of our group of friends, and the fact that both of them were the ones in danger scared the shit out of both of us.
"I'm not." I answered, anger clearly lacing my voice now.
Anger was slowly beginning to take over my whole body, and the need to seek revenge became bigger and bigger. Like hell, anyone who even thought about hurting Mc or Lex would get away with it. Both of them were my family, and just like Mc had written in her letter, you never turn your back on family. I began to grip my phone a bit firmer before I slowly began to speak again.
"Get the others Kaden, we're gonna show those fuckers how not to mess with us."

"I'm so done with staying inside this room all day." Asher said as he softly sat down on the white hospital bed again. A small smile made its way onto my face, and I softly patted his shoulder. Asher had been dying to leave the hospital ward without ever returning.
"It will be over before you know it, trust me." I said in a reassuring tone. A deep sigh immediately left Asher's mouth, and he slightly let his head drop.
"You say that every time, yet I'm still here." He said, a sad tone lacing his voice.
An apologetic look formed onto my face, and I softly sat down next to him. I had helped Asher a lot with practicing in order to be able to walk again and he had made some great improvements, however he wasn't able to stand for a longer period of time yet and thus had Jessy decided that she wanted Asher to stay for a bit longer.
"I think you've done enough for today. How about I write down your improvements, and then I'll get Sam to cheer you up?" I decided to say while a friendly smile could be seen on my face. A big smile immediately formed onto Asher's face when his boyfriend's name left my mouth, and he softly nodded.
"Yeah, I'd like that." He answered while a hint of excitement could be spotted into his voice. Ever since Asher had been placed into the hospital ward, there hadn't been a day when Sam hadn't visited him. A small smile made its way onto my face. Sam and Asher were really cute together and I couldn't be more thankful to be able to call both guys my friends.
"Is it okay if I turn on the tv?" Asher asked once he fully laid down on his bed again.
Heavy breaths of air left his mouth, and a red blush was decorating his face. He was clearly exhausted from practicing, and softly, I nodded my head, an amused look visible on my face. Even though Asher wanted nothing more than to leave this room and live with Sam again, he wasn't completely ready for that yet. There was still some improvement to be made. A fact Asher himself was highly aware of.
As I was writing down everything Asher and I had practiced today, I quickly became distracted by the noise the tv was making. Softly, I put the papers I was holding back on the original place and focused my attention on the tv.
"Police have been doing everything in their power to find the two escaped prisoners but without success. Both inmates are deemed to be a high risk to society. If you encounter them, please call the alarm number. Do not approach them under any circumstance." The man on the tv with a microphone in his hand said while standing in front of a huge dull grey wall. A shocked look made its way onto my face once the tv showed a mugshot of Jake and I, a dizzy feeling slowly overtook me.
"It is yet unknowable to how these two have managed to escape. Police are currently still investigating how this disaster could have happened. Even after months of the police searching for them, there still hasn't been found a single trace of both criminals. Earlier today, an interview with the parents of one of the escaped inmates had taken place, which we'll show you right away." The reporter said in a serious tone, and quickly, the screen switched over to two people standing in front of a small house.
Tears immediately sprung into my eyes as I watched the two people who I had missed so much standing in front of my childhood home. My mother looked like she had been crying a lot since her eyes were completely red and dark circles could be spotted under her eyes. The woman looked a lot thinner than I could remember, and overall, she looked like a mess.
My father, on the other hand, was standing next to my mom with an expressionless look on his face. The man had his arm on the small of my mom's back and was softly rubbing it up and down. A small tear slowly escaped my eyes. After months of not seeing my parents, I was finally able to catch a glimpse of them, yet it saddened me to see my mother like this. After a mere 30 seconds, a man in a dark suit who was holding a microphone came into view and took place next to my parents.
"I'm standing next to the parents of Mc Estrada, one of the escaped inmates." The man said while a serious tone was lacing his voice, and a stern look could be spotted on his face.
"Ms. Estrada, how do you feel about the whole situation?" The reporter asked the tiny woman standing beside him, and tears immediately sprung into the woman's face.
"I'm completely heartbroken. Within a few months, I've lost both my daughters." The woman said, and a few tears escaped her eyes only to roll down her cheeks immediately. A small sob made its way out of my mouth, and a few tears began to roll down my eyes. My mother had been the only one who had stood by my side when I had been at my lowest point in life and yet here she was, crying her eyes out because she hadn't seen me in months.
"How do you think your daughter managed to escape?" The reporter asked my mother, and the sad expression on the tiny woman's face quickly changed into an angry one.
"My baby Mc is probably the sweetest girl you'll ever meet. She has never broken even a single rule in her entire life." My mom spoke while slightly turning her head and looking directly into the camera.
"And thus I refuse to believe that she would willingly escape a prison, the other guy must have threatened her in order for her to do such a thing." My mother continued, and a confused look immediately made its way onto my face.
"Jake Dalton kidnapped my daughter, and therefore, he must be punished in the worst way possible. This man does not deserve anything other than the death penalty." My mom said while a cold tone was lacing her voice. A shocked look quickly formed onto my face, and I sat down on Asher's bed with a thud.
"Mc baby, please come home, we miss you so much." My mom said with a soft look on her face before bursting into tears. A few tears immediately escaped my eyes, and I slowly looked down. The fact that my mother broke down like that hurt me a lot, yet her words had been the one that had shattered my heart. As soon as Asher took notice of the shocked expression on me, he quickly turned off the tv.
"Mc, I'm so sorry." He said before quickly pulling me into a hug. I was still in pure shock. How could my mother make assumptions like these? The woman has never even met Jake.
A sad expression quickly formed onto my face upon facing the harsh reality I had just been slapped in the face with. The world I used to know and the world I was living in now where two worlds could never be put together. I had to choose one, either my parents or my life inside the gang with Jake.
The rest of the day quickly passed, and before I knew it, my shift was over, and I was back in my apartment again. However, there hadn't been a second today that I hadn't thought of the interview with my parents. Things couldn't go on like this, I needed to be clear to the people I loved.
I softly bit my lip as I was quietly thinking of the right words to write down. Currently, I was sitting at the kitchen table of Jake's and mine shared apartment with a pen and a piece of paper in front of me. After the interview I had seen back in the hospital room Asher was staying in, I had decided to write a goodbye letter to my parents. Never in a million years would I be able to leave my boyfriend, and thus I had decided to give up my past life.
A sad look made its way onto my face as soon as I thought of my mother. The woman meant the world to me, yet I couldn't let her speak of Jake like that. Jake had become the center of my whole life in a few months, and I would do anything to protect him.
A soft sigh left my mouth as soon as I began to think of which words I wanted to write to my mother. How do you say goodbye to someone who means so much to you? How do you say goodbye to the one person who was de definition by the majority of your life?
Suddenly, flashes of Jake filled my mind, and a small smile immediately formed onto my face. He meant to world to me, and after the 'events' of last night, I felt closer to my boyfriend than ever before. Jake was the one who had granted me a second chance at life, and for that, I couldn't be more thankful than I already was. He was truly the source of my happiness. Quickly, I picked up the pen that was lying on the kitchen table and began to write some words down.
Dear mom,
I wanted to thank you for everything that you've ever done for me. You raised me to become the girl that I am today, and for that, I couldn't be more grateful. As you probably know, I'm not in prison anymore, yet I can't tell you where I did go. The only thing I can tell you is that I am happy and that you shouldn't worry. Please forgive me but I have to say goodbye to you and Father. Mom, I love you from the bottom of my heart! Please never forget me. Lots of love. - Mc.
A few tears escaped my eyes as I quickly read through the letter again. I could already imagine the devasted look on my mother's face as soon as she would receive the letter I had written her. My mom and I had always been extremely close, and so I was sure this would completely break her heart.
After a few minutes, I heard the front door of the apartment close, and within a few minutes, I felt two arms surround me from the back.
"Hi baby, how was your day?" Jake asked me before pressing a soft kiss on my temple. Softly, I closed my eyes while a smile was decorating my face. Jake was my life now, and I couldn't be more happy about that fact than I already was. How the hell was I supposed to come home when my home was right here?
~
Last night I finally finished my letter to my parents. Even though the decision I had made wasn't an easy one for me since I loved my parents, it was one that had to be made. There was no way in the world that I could have both my life with my parents and my life inside the gang combined with each other.
Many tears had been shed yesterday, but many happy happy memories had been relived too. I would be forever grateful to fate for putting me in the same cell as Jake. Sometimes it's funny how you think your life has ended, but it turns out to be just a new beginning.
Lex, being the friendly girl she is, had offered me to put my letter in the mailbox since I couldn't exactly go there myself. After all, I was still a convicted criminal, and the police would like nothing more than to lock me up again.
Right now, Jake and I were sleeping peacefully besides each other. Both of us had stayed up late last night watching some action movie. Even though I wasn't really a fan of action movies, this one had been pretty good, and it resulted in both of us sleeping in today.
Slowly, I opened my eyes. I lifted one of my arms and began to rub my face to get a little more awake than I was now. A loud ringing noise sounded through the room and disrupted the peaceful silence.
As soon as I woke up a bit more, my eyes landed on my boyfriend, who was still sleeping next to me. Jake had proven more than once how much of a deep sleeper he was, and thus, it didn't surprise me at all that he wasn't waking up from the sound filling the room.
Quickly, I lifted myself up a bit and reached for the phone laying on Jake's nightstand. His phone had been ringing for at least half a minute now, and since Jake himself wasn't going to wake up anytime soon, it was up to me to answer the device.
Carefully, I leaned over Jake while trying my best not to wake him up. I quickly grabbed the phone once I was close enough to the device and soon after went back to my own spot. A small smile made its way onto my face once I looked at the peaceful look on my boyfriend's face and I quickly answered the phone.
"Hi, this is Mc, Jake is still sleeping." I said while a hint onf tiredness could be detected in my voice. Immediately after I was done talking, I began to yawn tiredly and softly closed my eyes again.
"No problem, I meant to talk to you anyway." I heard the familiar voice of Kaden say. He sounded a bit stressed, and immediately, I opened my eyes again. Kaden wasn't the person to get stressed easily, so if he was, that would probably mean nothing good.
"Have you seen Lex today?" He spoke again through the phone while a hint of hope could be heard in his voice. A questioning look made its way onto my face, and I slowly pushed myself up in a sitting position. Why would I have seen Lex?
"No, I was sleeping until you called. Why?" I decided to ask while a questioning tone was lacing my voice. A few curse words immediately left Kaden's mouth, and he sighed loudly.
"I have been looking for her everywhere, but I can't find her." Kaden answered me while a worried tone was lacing his voice. Immediately, a hint of nervousness made its way into my chest once Kaden had spoken those words. Lex wasn't someone to go somewhere without telling Kaden.
"When was the last time you saw her?" I asked while a nervous tone was lacing my voice. A soft grunt sounded next to me, and immediately, I slapped a hand in front of my own mouth. I hadn't realized that I was talking pretty loudly while Jake was still sleeping. Slowly, the eyes of Jake fluttered open, and a small smile made its way onto his face.
"Hi baby, who are you calling?" He asked in a sleepy voice before slowly crawling a bit closer to me.
"Last night before she went to post your letter, nobody saw her after that." Kaden answered me through the phone, and I answered with a soft 'okay.' Quickly, I turned to my boyfriend. My face displayed a worried look, and Jake immediately went to sit up.
"Baby, what's wrong?" He asked while a questioning look was now visible on his face. I swallowed thickly before handing the phone to my boyfriend.
"Kaden is calling because Lex is missing." I said, and a shocked look immediately made its way onto Jake's face. He quickly put the phone on speaker and began to talk.
"Kaden, are you sure you've looked everywhere?" Jake asked his brother while a serious tone was lacing his voice.
"Pretty sure yeah, I've been living here for a long time, you know." Kaden answered. A soft 'fuck' immediately left Jake's mouth and he quickly got out of bed. I looked at him while a worried look was still visible on my face.
"Call the others to search for her and go home yourself in case she comes back." Jake said before quickly putting on some pants and a shirt. Soon after, he gestured for me to get dressed, too, and I quickly got out of bed before walking towards the big black closet. As fast as I could, I put on the first shirt and baggy pants I could find and went to sit on the bed again.
"You seriously think I'm gonna go home if my girlfriend is still missing?" Kaden spoke while anger clearly could be detected in his voice. A soft sigh immediately left Jake's mouth, and he softly closed his eyes.
"Yes, you are. If she comes home, you need to be there for her." He answered his brother before gesturing towards me to follow him. Quickly, I stood up from the bed again and followed him to the front door of our apartment.
"Like hell I will, I'm not gonna sit around while Lex might be needing me." Kaden said, annyoance clearly lacing his voice. A deep sigh immediately left Jake's mouth before he spoke again.
"Fine, call me if you find her." Jake said before hanging up the phone. Immediately after he had hung up, he turned towards me.
"Let's check the roof first, okay?" He said, worry still lacing his voice. Quickly, I nodded, and both of us started to make our way through the long hallways of the building.
I couldn't help but be extremely worried. Lex had been one of the most welcoming people inside the gang in the first few weeks of my arrival there. The hacker had been nothing but sweet and nice towards me, and I considered her to be one of my best friends. I got shaken out of my thoughts by the sudden feeling of someone intertwining their fingers with mine.
A soft yet nervous smile made its way onto my face once I noticed that Jake had grabbed my hand and was squeezing it a bit. He was clearly as nervous as I was, which was not a surprise to me at all. Jake had always described his friends as his family. Even though they weren't related by blood, they were by heart. All of them. Expect Kaden and Jake, of course.
Suddenly, the loud ringing noise of Jake's phone sounded through the long hallway. Both of us were standing in, and Jake quickly fished the device out of the pocket of his jeans.
"Kaden, have you found her?" Jake asked as soon as he had answered his phone. He was supporting a hopeful look on his face, and I quickly leaned a bit closer to the phone to try and hear anything Kaden was saying. Soon, however, Jake's face turned completely pale, and a shocked look could be seen on it.
"Call everyone to the meeting room immediately." Jake said towards his brother before hanging up the phone and turning towards me. The shocked look was still present on his face, and quickly, my heart started to pick up its pace rapidly. This couldn't be good... After what seemed like forever, Jake finally opened his mouth to tell me everything Kaden had just told him.
"Lex has been kidnapped."
~
Chaos. That was the perfect way to describe the situation inside the gang at this moment. As soon as Jake and I had reached the meeting room, all the people except for Kaden were already sitting around the round table and started to fire questions at Jake as soon as they saw him.
"Mind telling us why the fuck Kaden called us in complete panic?" Jessy asked while standing up from her seat and folding her arms in front of her chest. A concerned look could be seen on her face and her eyes were filled with worry.
"Yeah, and where is Lex?" Sam added as soon as Jessy was done talking. Sam was sitting next to his boyfriend. Asher had finally been released from the hospitalwing, and even though he was far from being at the same level as his old self, he was feeling a lot better.
"Why is Mc looking like she has seen a ghost?" Dan spoke once he noticed my pale face. A concerned look immediately made its way onto Jessy's face, and she quickly walked towards me.
"Are you feeling okay, honey?" She asked while quickly taking my hand in her own and performing a few small tests on me. I managed to nod slightly. I was still in complete shock at the news I had just heard. One of my best friends had been kidnapped, and I didn't know if I would ever see her alive again. I didn't even know if Lex was still alive.
"Everyone, please calm down, I'll explain everything in a minute." Jake said before taking my hand in his own and placing me on a chair nearby. I was still as white as a ghost, and it concerned Jake a bit.
All the people quickly went back towards their seats and quietly sat down, waiting for Jake to announce why they had been summoned here. Normally every meeting they held would be organized by Dan, since he's the best when it comes to the business side of it all so the fact that he didn't know anything about why they were here really concerened the others. This couldn't mean something good.
Soon, Jake took place on a chair next to me, and he softly sighed before looking around the group of people. A concerened look was displayed on his face, and he softly placed both his hands on the table.
"Lex has been kidnapped." Jake said, his voice filled with concern. An awful silence immediately fell over the close group of friends, disbelief clearly displayed on their faces.
"What?" Sam said after a minute or two while his eyes were as big as saucers.
"How?" Asher softly added while tears could be seen in his eyes. A tense atmosphere filled the whole room as soon as those certain words had left Jake's mouth. This couldn't be real, right?
"You're joking." Jessy softly said, her voice filled with disbelief. She slowly stood up from the chair she was sitting on while looking at Jake, her eyes filled with concern.
"He's joking, right?" Jessy spoke again, this time focusing on Dan. Her boyfriend slowly stood up before softly wrapping his arms around Jessy's back. Tears immediately began to fill her eyes, and she slowly turned her head towards Jake again.
"Please tell me you're joking." She said while softly hugging her boyfriend back. Jake softly shook his head before looking down himself, clearly not knowing what to do with the current situation himself.
Jake had known Lex for years. The girl had been like a sister to him. The hacker had always been so fragile, and even though I hadn't always been the nicest person to her, Jake had sworn to protect her at all costs. Yet here they were, Lex was gone, and no one knew what to do.
Suddenly, the familiar spund of the door creaking open sounded through the room, and immediately, all heads turned towards the door. The familiar hair of Kaden was the first thing visible as soon as he walked in, and silence immediately filled the room.
Kaden's eyes were completely red, and an angry yet devasted look was displayed on his face. He walked towards the front of the room with heavy steps while soft sobs left his mouth. A pained feeling immediately made its way into my chest, and I looked at him with a compassionate look. Kaden was known as someone who never cried, so for him to start sobbing was very rare, and it made everyone realise how serious this was.
As soon as Jake noticed his brother enter the room, he immediately stood up from his seat and walked towards Kaden as fast as he could. Kaden slowly looked up as soon as he felt someone lay a supportive hand on his shoulder, and he immediately took Jake into a tight hug while starting to sob loudly.
"They took her from me." Kaden sobbed while burying his face in his brother's shoulder. Jake immediately started to rub his back in a soothing manner.
"They are gonna kill her." Kaden spoke again. Everyone in the room was awfully quiet, and a nervous feeling started to make its way into my chest. Kaden didn't mean those words, right? Right?!
"They won't. We'll do everything we can to prevent that." Jake immediately said as soon as those words left his brother's mouth. Jake softly hugged Kaden a bit closer, his own eyes slowly started to fill themselves with tears as well.
"You won't." Kaden suddenly answered his brother. A surprised look immediately formed onto Jake's face, and he softly pushed Kaden back a bit so that he could look him in the eyes. Kaden was still sobbing, and the devastated look was still clearly visible on his face.
"What do you mean I won't?" Jake aked, confusion clearly lacing his voice. Slowly, Kaden started to shake his head before locking eyes with Jake, who was still holding him.
"I can get her back, but you won't ever give them what they want in return." Kaden spoke before continuing again.
"We both know you'll never give them what they want."
Silence filled the room once again. Everyone were looking at Kaden with confused looks on their faces. Everyone considered each other family and thus, they were completely surprised by Kaden's words. Of course, we would give them anything they wanted if that meant we would get Lex back.
"What do you mean?" Jake asked before slowly unwrapping his arms from Kaden. A small smile made its way onto Kaden's face, and he quickly fished his phone out of his pocket. He unlocked it and turned the screen towards his brother.
A confused look formed onto Jake's face, and he slowly reached for the phone Kaden was holding. He took the device from him and started to read something that was shown on the screen. Slowly, his face became pale, and he swallowed thickly before looking up from the phone again.
"You know I can't do that." Jake said towards Kaden while his eyes were big and his face was still pale. His brother slowly shook his head before locking eyes with Jake.
"I know, I'm not asking you to." Kaden answered his brother. Slowly, a single lonely tear escaped his eye and rolled down his cheek.
"I wouldn't have done it if I were you too, I understand." Kaden spoke softly before breaking down completely. Quickly, Jake threw the phone on the table next to him and hugged Kaden again.
The black device Jake had been holding landed directly in front of me, and I couldn't help but take a quick look at what it was that Kaden's phonescreen was displaying. A dizzy feeling immediately formed inside my head as soon as I recognized the innocent face of Lex on it.
The girl's face was completely bruised, and a large cut was visible on her right cheek. The small girl's right eye was completely swollen, and some dried blood could be seen under her nose. Large bruises were visible on her neck, and tears were streaming out of her eyes. A few tears quickly escaped my eyes at the thought of one of my best friends being abused. Lex had never done anything bad in her entire life, and yet here she was, completely bruised up and scared as hell. The girl didn't deserve this. Not her.
"Mind sharing the content of that text with us?" Dan suddenly said, breaking the thick silence which was filling the meeting room. All of us looked at Kaden with a concerned look on our faces and were willing to do anything to help him get his lover back. Jake softly sighed before starting to rub Kaden's back again.
"Lex has been kidnapped by an unknown person, and they're willing to set her free if we bring them someone else." Jake said before softly looking down himself, tears clearly visible in his eyes.
"And if we won't show up before 12 p.m. tonight, they'll kill Lex." Jake softly added before looking at everyone with a concerned look on his face. The current situation was horrible. There literally wasn't a good outcome.
"Who do they want in exchange for Lex?" Asher softly asked, already guessing he wouldn't like the answer Jake was gonna give him. A tense atmosphere quickly filled the room, and a deep sigh left Jake's mouth.
"They want to give us Lex in exchange for Mc."

"I don't ever want to lose you." The woman on the tv in the living room said, and slowly, I reached inside my popcorn bowl. It was currently nine in the evening, and I was home alone since Jake was still in a meeting.
Whenever I was home alone I always became quickly bored and thus I had decided to watch a movie. Even though the movie I was watching was pretty boring and the acting was very bad, it was better than nothing, and because of that fact, I decided to just go with it. Ever since I had been a little girl, I had always hated being alone, and even though I was not a little girl anymore, I still didn't like it.
About halfway through the movie, I heard the door to my apartment creek open, and within a minute, the familiar face of my boyfriend came into view. A soft blush immediately made its way onto my face once I thought about the fact that Jake was officially my boyfriend now. How the hell did I get so lucky?
"Hi baby." Jake said as he went to sit beside me and put his head on my left shoulder. A small smile made its way onto my face at the petname Jake decided to use, and I immediately snuggled a bit closer to my boyfriend.
"How was your meeting?" I asked while I slowly turned my head a little and gave Jake a kiss on his forehead. Jake immediately closed his eyes, and a smile made its way onto his face.
"Boring as fuck." He said before slowly lifting his head from my shoulder and pulling me onto his lap.
I softly started to laugh by the word choice of my boyfriend before a small blush decided to decorate my face. I was now straddling my boyfriend's lap and a spark of excitement shot through my spine. Both of us slowly locked eyes with each other and gave the other a warm smile.
"Can I have a kiss?" Jake suddenly asked, and I immediately nodded shyly. Even though I had kissed him many times before, I would probably never get over my shyness. Jake put his hand behind my head and slowly pushed me closer.
"Hey." Jake said while a big smile was plastered across his face. An even redder blush than before started to form on my face. A small giggle left my mouth as Jake quickly gave me a peck on my nose, followed by a warm smile making its way onto his face.
"Hi." I shyly answered back while looking down a bit. My head got quickly lifted again once Jake put two fingers under my chin and slowly pushed them up.
"Don't be shy." He spoke before slowly closing the gap between the two of us. A soft sound of excitement left my mouth as soon as I felt the soft touch of the soft lips of my boyfriend against my own.
Instantly, both of us started to move our lips against each other in a steady rhythm, all while the blush on my face was still visible. A rush of excitement shot through me as soon as I felt Jake cup my face and bring me even closer. I instantly replied by putting my hands on the back of his head and softly tugging at his hair.
A smirk started to form on Jake's face, and slowly, he licked the bottom lip of mine, asking for entrance. I immediately agreed by parting my lips a bit, allowing Jake's tongue to enter my mouth. A soft sound immediately left my mouth once I felt how he quickly entered my mouth, and within a second, both of us were fighting over dominance.
Pretty quickly, both of us were tangled in a heavy make-out session, and a spark of excitement rushed through my spine as soon as I felt Jake grab my ass. Softly, Jake smirked into our kiss while he was on the upper hand of winning our fight over dominance. Jake broke our kiss and moved on to my neck. Multiple moans immediately started to come out of my mouth, and I softly closed my eyes while enjoying the spark of excitement Jake released inside me.
If this was what heaven felt like, then I wouldn't want the feeling to ever stop. Out of instinct, I slowly began to rock my hips back and forth, and a deep moan immediately left Jake's mouth. A small smile grew onto my face, and slowly, I began to rock my hips a bit faster.
"I like making you moan." I said while my eyes were still closed. Slowly, I leaned my head a bit more to the right, giving Jake more space to do whatever the hell he wanted to with my neck.
"Damn..." A moan immediately left my mouth as soon as Jake started licking and sucking right on my sweet spot, and a deep red blush started to decorate my face. Upon hearing my reaction, Jake immediately started to pay more attention to the spot he was currently sucking on, and within a minute, I had become a moaning mess on top of him.
"Mm... Yes, right there..." I moaned once again as Jake kept sucking on the right spot, and I slowly felt him smirk against my skin.
"I know, baby, relax." Jake said in a soft tone before quickly connecting his lips with my neck again.
Slowly, Jake removed the hand that had been on my ass all this time and moved it to the front of my shorts. I immediately let out a deep moan once he started to rub me through my shorts. A smirk formed onto Jake's face upon hearing the sound I just made, and slowly, he picked up his pace a bit.
Out of instinct I fastened up the pace in which I was rocking against Jake's bulge and a surprised sound made its way out of my mouth once Jake hissed and bit down on the spot he had been sucking at. Immediately, a deep red blush decorated my face once again when I heard the sound he had just made.
"Baby, please hurry..." I whined before another loud moan erupted out of my mouth. I started to pant softly while another rush of excitement rushed through my veins. Jake rubbed me a bit more through my shorts before he slowly removed his lips from my neck.
"Are you sure?" Jake asked while he locked eyes with me, a serious tone lacing his voice. A warm feeling spread inside my chest upon hearing his words. He wouldn't do anything I didn't want, and that fact alone gave me a very safe feeling. A small smile made its way onto my face, and I softly nodded.
"I trust you." I answered, and Jake immediately reattached our lips.
Within a second, both of us were heavily making out again, and Jake quickly put his hands under my thighs before slowly standing up. I quickly wrapped my legs around his torso and put my arms around his neck. I pulled Jake a bit closer and sucked a bit on his bottom lip. A deep moan erupted from Jake's throat, and he quickly started to walk towards wherever he was taking me.
Within 5 minutes, Jake opened the door to his and my shared bedroom, and he softly dropped me on the bed once we reached it. I immediately sunk down in the black duvet of the bed, and a warm feeling spread in my chest once again once Jake crawled on top of me.
"Can I take off your shirt, Mc?" He asked, and immediately I nodded eagerly. We had waited long enough, and there was no backing down this time. This time everything was really happening.
Slowly, Jake grabbed the hem of my shirt and started to lift it. A cold breeze hit my skin as soon as Jake started to remove my shirt, and I began to shiver a bit. The shivering, however, quickly stopped once I felt something wet touch my left nipple. A loud moan erupted out of my throat once Jake began licking my nipple and another one left my mouth when he slowly began to suck on it.
Quickly, Jake lifted his hand and began rubbing my neglected nipple with it. Within a few seconds, I became a moaning mess, and I started to tug at the black shirt Jake was wearing. Jake quickly took the hint and removed his lips and fingers from my nipples to take off his shirt. After that, he slowly started to tug at my shorts belt and quickly locked eyes with me, a questioning look on his face.
A small smile made its way onto my face, and I softly nodded. Of course, I would give consent to Jake, I wanted nothing more than to be as close to him as possible. A small smile made its way onto Jake's face, and he softly started to remove my shorts.
A soft blush immediately made its way onto my face once Jake started to remove my pants, and I quickly pressed my head inside the pillow I was laying on. However, as soon as I tried to hide, Jake decided to look at me again, and a small smile covered his face.
"Don't hide. You're beautiful." He said before slowly leaning down again and capturing my lips with his own. Quickly, both of us started moving our lips against the other's again, and a rush of excitement shot up my spine once again.
Jake softly pressed the palm of his hands against my sides and slowly started to rub them up and down. I quickly responded by wrapping my arms around his neck while pulling him as close as possible. Finally, I was ready to take the next step. Softly, Jake's fingers traveled a bit lower, and within a few seconds, he slowly halted them on the edge of my panties.
A rush of excitement shot through my body at the thought of him touching me, and as a result, I moaned deeply. A small smirk made its way onto Jake's face, and he started to slowly push my panties down. A breeze of cold air immediately hit me the moment Jake had pushed my panties down, and I softly hissed. However, the cold feeling was quickly replaced by an exciting feeling. However, the moment Jake slowly began to rub me up and down.
"Oh my god." A surprised moan made its way out of my mouth at the sudden feeling of pleasure I was experiencing. I softly closed my eyes, and a small smile made its way onto my face.
"Feels so good." I spoke once Jake decided to speed up the pace a bit. A soft smile made its way onto Jake face once he slowly saw me twist my face in pleasure. I clearly was on the edge of losing control.
"I'm close..." I managed to bring out once I felt a warm feeling bundle in my abdomen. With every rubbing Jake did the warm feeling inside my abdomen became more and more, until I finally found my release.
"Ah, Jake!" I loudly moaned as I came. Jake smiled, looking at me with a slight smirk.
"Do you want to go further tonight, baby?" He asked before getting up to go get something to clean his hand and me. I quickly nodded my head while still panting heavily.
Jake slowly leaned down and cleaned me up before getting up again to get something. A deep blush made its way onto my face once I realised that Jake had gotten lube.
"Is it okay if I prepare you?" Jake asked, a soft tone lacing his voice. I softly nodded while a nervous look made its way onto my face.
I had never gone this far, and even though I was completely ready for it, I still managed to become really nervous. Jake slowly picked up the bottle of lube and squeezed some on top of his fingers. Softly, he started to rub the two lubbed fingers together in order to warm the clear liquid. Once he had rubbed his fingers together for quite some time, he slowly got on the bed again and hovered over me in no time.
He captured my lips with his own and slowly started to move them against mine. I eagerly kissed him back and happily parted my lips once Jake licked my bottom lip. Within a few seconds, both of us were heavily making out with each other, and a surprised sound escaped my throat once I suddenly felt something circling my entrance.
"Relax, baby, I promise to make you feel really good in a few moments." Jake said, and I immediately managed to relax a little. Within an instant, the foreign feeling of Jake finger circling his entrance was back again, and I tried my best to stay calm.
Softly, Jake captured my lips once again, immediately calming my nerves down. A soft yelp escaped my throat once Jake softly pushed one finger in, only to take it back out again. He slowly pushed his finger in and out of my hole and softly attached his lips to my neck again.
Within a few minutes, Jake had added another finger inside my hole and softly started to scissor them in order to stretch me a bit. I let out a soft whine at the unfamiliar feeling. Even though the feeling I was experiencing right now wasn't unpleasant, I would certainly not describe it as pleasurable either.
"Are you ready for the third finger?" Jake asked while slowly removing his lips from the skin of my neck. A look of disbelief quickly made its way onto my face, followed by a nervous feeling quickly gathering throughout my whole body.
"I don't think that will fit..." I said while a nervous tone was lacing my voice. Surely my hole wouldn't be big enough to fit three fingers, right?
"Don't worry, I'll make you feel really good, baby." Jake said with a reassuring voice, and I softly nodded in response. I trusted him completely. If he said he would make me feel good, then I would trust him. Within a few seconds, I felt my hole stretching from Jake, adding a thirth finger, and tears immediately started to gather inside my eyes.
The feeling I was experiencing now was anything but pleasurable, and a small sob made its way out of my mouth. Jake immediately stopped moving his fingers once he was all the way in, and he softly stroked my cheek.
"Don't cry, baby, it will be better soon. First times are always the most painful." He said while a small smile made its way onto his face. Slowly, I nodded, and I took a deep breath. It took me a few minutes before I was completely adjusted to the unfamiliar stretch of Jake's fingers inside of me.
"You can move now." I said, uncertainty clearly lacing my voice. Even though I had been in immense pain a few minutes before, I was still excited for what was yet to come. Finally, Jake and I would take the next step into our relationship.
Slowly, Jake started to pull his fingers all the way out of my hole, only to push them in again. He quickly built up a steady pace, and I slowly started to move a bit on the bed. A small smirk made its way onto his face, and he quickly curled his fingers a little.
"Fuck..." A loud moan immediately erupted out of my mouth and I quickly squeezed my eyes shut. The smirk on Jake's face grew ever wider than before and a soft 'bingo' sounded from his mouth.
Within an instant, he began to push his fingers into my g spot multiple times, and pleasure took over my body completely. I quickly became a moaning mess, and it wasn't long before the familiar feeling of heat in my abdomen started to appear again. A blissful look quickly made its way onto my face, but it was soon replaced by an unstatisfied one once Jake took his fingers out.
"I think you're ready now." Jake said before quickly removing his own clothes. Both of us were completely naked now, and Jake quickly reached for the bottle of lube. Once he got it, he squeezed some of the cold liquid onto the palm of his hand and started to cover his member in it.
A small hiss made its way out of him once the cold clear liquid came into contact with his hard and pulsing erection. However, he quickly recovered and continued spreading the liquid all over it. I kept watching every move my boyfriend made, and a deep red blush quickly decorated my cheeks once again.
No way in hell was Jake going to fit inside of me. I quickly squeezed my eyes shut at the thought of the immense pain I would have to go through once Jake would push his huge member inside. Suddenly, a pair of soft lips pressed against my own, and I immediately released some stress.
"Try to relax for me, okay?" Jake spoke when he disconnected our lips again, and I softly nodded.
Suddenly, I inhaled sharply once I felt Jake's hard erection press against my entrance, and tears immediately gathered into my eyes once again once Jake slowly started to press his pulsing erection in. A soft whine left my mouth once Jake entered me more and more until he was fully in.
"It hurts so much..." I managed to bring out while a single tear escaped my eye and rolled down my cheek.
"I know, baby, but you will feel better soon, I promise." Jake said while a reassuring tone laced his voice before softly wiping away the tear on my cheek with his thumb.
Slowly, I started to take deep breaths while Jake kept whispering sweet nothings into my ear. It took me a few minutes, but eventually, I got used to my boyfriend's size, and an uncertain smile made its way onto my face.
"You can move now, I think." I said while uncertainty was clearly lacing my voice. A soft smile made its way onto Jake's face, and he slowly attached our lips again.
While kissing, Jake slowly started to move his hips back and forth, and I began to move a bit on bed underneath him due to Jake's movements. Slowly, Jake started to build up a steady pace and went faster and faster. A loud moan erupted from my throat once I felt Jake's member graze over my g spot. A smirk immediately made its way onto Jake's face, and he adjusted his position slightly.
I instantly became a moaning mess once Jake started to hit my g spot every time he pushed inside me, and it didn't take long before the familiar feeling of heat pooling up in my abdomen appeared again.
"Gonna cu-cum." I managed to say between my moans and Jake responded by rubbing my clit in a quick pace.
"Cum for me baby." He said in a husky tone and not even a second later I came once again. A blissfull look immediately made its way onto my face once I had finally reached my high and a soft moan sounded out of my mouth. Jake sped up his pace once I had reached my high in order to chase his own. He kept ramming into my g spot in a quick pace and I softly started to moan a bit again.
"F-Fuck." Jake moaned once he had finally reached his high, and a soft moan erupted from my throat once I felt the thick, warm liquid coming out of him and filling me up. Softly, Jake dropped himself on me once he had rode out his high, and a soft giggle escaped my mouth.
"I love you so fucking much, Mc." He said before kissing me on the lips. A soft smile covered my lips.
"I love you too." I answered before kissing him back. Never would anyone or anything be able to drive us apart.

I slowly opened my eyes, and the sunlight was glowing lightly on my skin while a warm body was pressed against my chest. A small smile fell on my face at the sight before me. Jake was peacefully sleeping against me, no traces of the discomfort from last night left on his face. Deciding that I would give him some more time to rest his mind and body I left our shared bed as silent and smooth as possible, only a few grunts off discomfort left Jake's mouth the moment my body heat left him.
Within twenty minutes, I had showered and dressed, shortly going downstairs to fetch some aspirins and a glass of water for Jake. Placing both of them on the little nightstand beside our bed. I left the room again to go downstairs towards our kitchen. I quickly made my way inside the small room within our apartment, knowing cooking wasn't my strongest quality, so I was already deciding that I would go for some simple toast with ham and cheese.
With a few small movements through the kitchen, I had made four pieces of toasted bread, all of them covered in a thin layer of ham and cheese. I put two pieces on a second plate, covering it with some plastic and placing it in the fridge so Jake could eat those later if he felt well enough.
A soft sigh left my lips while I slowly started to eat my toast. I was glad Jake got some decent sleep, but I was still worried for him. Last night wasn't anything like I had seen before, I had never seen Jake in such a state, and I wished I could take away all the troubles from my lover. Seeing Jake in pain wasn't a sight I liked to see, and I would do everything to prevent a future event like this one to happen.
Deep in thought about Jake, I kept eating my toast, staring blankly ahead while I chewed on the small pieces. Jake probably wouldn't be awake for at least a few hours considering the amount of alcohol his system had to get rid of, leaving me to entertain myself for the rest of the time. At least that's what I thought...
With a harsh ring, Jake's phone woke me up from my thoughts. The small device was still with me after last night's events. I instantly reached for the phone, seeing the words most annoying person in the world - Jessica flash on the screen and instantly bringing a small chuckle to my mouth. Why would Jake put Jessy's name in his phone like that? She wasn't that annoying, was she?
Not knowing why Jessy would call at such an early hour, but already knowing that it must be important, I answered the phone while still chewing on my toast.
"I have Jake's phone. This is Mc-"
"Mc, hospital wing, now!" Jessy's voice boomed through the phone, followed by the dial tone.
Not knowing what had just happened, I removed the phone from my ear, staring at it for a few seconds and trying to process the words Jessy had just screamed at me. Why would she need me in the hospital wing at this hour? Softly shaking my head to clear the confusion in it, I swallowed my last piece of bread while hastily grabbing a piece of paper and a pen.
Jessy needed me in the hospital wing, call her if you woke up. Don't come down there yourself. You need to rest <3 There's food in the fridge, and there are aspirins for your headache. I will be back as soon as possible. Call Jessy if you need anything, and I will come back straight away, I love you, Jake, xoxo Mc.
I placed the small note beside the aspirins and the glass of water on Jake's nightstand, giving him a small peck against his forehead while whispering a soft I love you before I left the apartment on my way to the hospital wing.
Within a few minutes, I entered the way too familiar doors, both of them as heavy as always. My smile instantly fell at the sight before me. I had expected a lot the moment Jessy had called me, but this wasn't on my list at all.
Sam stood hysterically crying in the middle of the room, loud beeps surrounded the whole space and Jessy rushed from left to right, grabbing tool after tool to perform multiple checkups while Sam started crying harder and harder with every move Jessy made.
I took another step into the room, the doors falling closed behind me with a harsh bang and instantly grabbing the attention from both Jessy and Sam.
"Thank god you're here. It's Asher. His vitals are changing." Jessy instantly spoke while she grabbed another tool from somewhere. Not giving me any further instructions, she rushed back to Asher, opening his eyes a little while shining a harsh light on them. I instantly walked over towards the two, passing a crying Sam on my way.
"Is he okay?"
A soft smile fell on Jessy's face while she repeated the same procedure on Asher's other eye.
"Yes, his body is fighting to wake up. I called you to calm Sam down. His crying isn't helping at all with my headache or with this situation." Jessy put the tool away, placing her fingers on the bridge of her nose to release some of the tension in her head.
I shortly gave Asher a quick look. He indeed got a lot more color on his face. He looked peaceful, almost like someone who was just asleep. Deciding that Jessy was able to manage Asher alone, I instantly walked over towards Sam, wrapping him immediately up in my arms the moment he came into reach.
"Shh, calm down. He's going to be alright."
Sam instantly shook his head, clearly not believing the words that had just left my mouth.
"No..."
I slowly started to make my way backward a little with the crying guy in my arms, bringing the both of us towards one of the empty beds and sitting down on one of them.
"Shhh, he is. He's trying to wake up. Jessy's helping him. You have to breathe for me Sam, you're going to pass out if you go on like this." I placed my hand under Sam's chin to make him look directly at me.
"Follow me. In...and...out..." I instructed while I tried to let Sam follow, constantly repeating my words to make sure he calmed down a little.
Not much later, Sam indeed calmed down a little, not fully but enough to make him think a little straighter and quiet him down enough for me to speak with him in a normal tone. Sam's eyes crossed shortly with mine before they wandered back towards Asher and Jessy.
"Thanks."
I rubbed Sam's shoulder a little, giving him an unnoticed smile.
"It's okay, let's go see him, okay? He needs you there when he wakes up."
Both of us stood up within a second, I was only hoping that Asher was okay and Jake was still asleep. It didn't take long for Sam to get to Asher, I was short on his heels. According to Jessy, the unconscious guy wouldn't take much longer to wake up if everything went right. His vitals were really good, and he reacted to all the tests Jessy did on him. The only thing left was for him to open his eyes so he could be greeted by his long-lost lover.
Sam didn't even have to think about it when Jessy told him he could sit with Asher on his bed and be the first one he would see after all this time. Who wouldn't want to join their loved one when they were going to wake up from a months long coma. The prison and this whole coma had separated them long enough, and now was the time to end that.
I couldn't even imagine how miserable I would feel if something similar happened to Jake, sure I had almost lost him a while back but I had never been forced apart from him like Sam had been from Asher. To be honest, I didn't even know if I was capable of the things Sam had gone through.
Being separated must have been really terrible, but finally, having your loved one back and not even ten minutes later being ripped away from you again wasn't something I would want to experience. Jake meant the world to me. To be fair, Jake was my whole world right now, and losing him would quite literally mean the end of my world.
My sister was dead, my parents didn't want to speak with me anymore, and the friends I had created within the gang were Jake's friends in the first place. I didn't even know if I could stay in this place if it wasn't for Jake. After all, his dad had made it quite well known that he wasn't fond of me in any way.
With a small smile, I looked over at Sam and Asher, gaining much more respect for their relationship than I already had. Sure, Sam and I hadn't been on the same page all the time, but we both knew how it felt to almost lose your lover and that they had done something to our bond. Both of us gained some form of respect for the other without holding any grudges about what had happened in the past.
"Mc, can you help me here for a few seconds?" Jessy's voice suddenly sounded through the room. My eyes instantly wandered over to her, seeing her at the other side of Asher's bed.
With a soft nod, I walked over towards Jessy, getting a quick look at the fragile guy that lay between the white sheets. Asher's color had returned to his face. His breathing was normal, and he looked like he was sleeping. On the other hand, Asher looked in some kind of way worse than what I had seen of him the last couple of weeks.
He sure needed some more meat on his bones and a little bit of sunlight on his pale skin also wouldn't hurt but I was pretty sure Sam would take care of all of that once his lover would wake up.
"Can you hold his arm straight? I'm gonna give him a little bit of this medicine. Hopefully, it will help him to wake up quicker and easier." Jessy asked with a small smile on her face while she uncapped the needle.
I slowly took hold of Asher's arm, turning it so that Jessy would be able to inject the medicine easily. Not even twenty seconds later, Jessy had injected the medicine, making all of us curious if it would help or not.
"He should be able to wake up within the next few minutes."
Sam grabbed Asher's hand a little tighter, giving his lover a hopeful look while whispering something like 'come on, babe, you can do it' in the guy's ear.
A minute passed without much happening, I was slowly getting concerned that Jessy's medicine wouldn't have worked like we all had hoped. Only to be ripped away from my own thoughts the moment a soft grumble left Asher's mouth, my attention was instantly on him within the white sheets, the hopeful feeling within my body returning like it hadn't been away at all. Asher's eyes squinted together while another grumble left his mouth. A loud sob left Sam's mouth from seeing the first signs of waking up from his lover.
"Come on babe, open your eyes. You're almost there." Sam whispered against Asher's forehead while he gave him soft kisses against it. "I love you so much. Please open your eyes."
As if Sam's prayers had been heard, Asher did indeed open his eyes, slowly and almost not visible, but they were open. Another deep grumble left Asher's mouth while his eyes opened a little further, instantly locking his eyes with Sam's.
"Hey." Nothing more than a soft whisper left Taemin's mouth.
The word was more than enough to break Sam down completely, covering Asher in sweet little kisses while mumbling. I love you's over and over again. I could only look at them with fondness. The sight was amazing to see, and it even brought some tears to my own eyes. Sam had Asher wrapped completely in his arms by now, giving him all the love and affection he had missed out on the last few months.
A few minutes passed, and Jessy and I both patiently waited until Sam and Asher had had their moment, and Sam would let go of his lover for a little while. A minute or so later, Sam did indeed let go of Asher's body, instead grabbing his hand while looking at him lovingly.
"Where am I?" Asher voice nothing more than a soft hoarse whisper. Sam softly reached out towards Asher's head, stroking some hairs out of his face.
"Home... You're finally home."
A small smile fell on Asher's face while his eyes started to roam through the room, halting on Jessy the moment his eyes came in contact with her face. Jessy face instantly lighted up with a huge smile.
"It's good to have you back. We've missed you. How are you feeling?"
A few coughs left Asher's mouth before he was able to answer her.
"Okay, I guess. My head hurts, and I feel sleepy, but my body feels fine."
Jessy gave him a short nod before Asher's eyes wandered towards me. Sam instantly told him who I was and that I, together with Jessy, had saved Asher's life, leaving the fact that I had been the one that got Asher shot in the first place completely away.
I was glad Sam decided to leave that part for now, I didn't want my first impression to be a bad one, and Sam had given me that chance. Sam and I crossed eyes for a moment, a look of understanding between the two. Even though I and Asher didn't change any words in that moment, it had been enough for the both of us. We would get to know each other later. This was Sam's and Asher's moment.
"I will get you something to drink. If your stomach can handle it, we can try eating later on. Keep an eye on him for me, will you, Sam?" Jessy suddenly spoke, signing for me to follow her and leave the two guys alone.
Without any doubt, I followed her out of the room, giving the guys their well-deserved alone time. Jessy obviously didn't need my help by getting the drinks, thanking me for my help while letting me know that she would call me if something else occurred. All while pestering me to go back to Jake, assuming that he would have woken up by now and could use a little love to get over his hangover.
With a big smile, Jessy and I said our goodbyes, both of us going our own way. Jessy is back to the two lovebirds, and I get back to my own lovebird. A lovebird with probably a huge hangover.
I slowly closed the door to my and Jake's shared apartment as softly as I could. Jake was still sleeping, and I wanted to make sure I didn't wake him up. A small smile started to appear on my face once I thought of Jake. Every time I saw him, a smile spontaneously appeared on my face. He really did make me happy.
~
Once the door was closed, I quickly made my way through the dull black and white halls of the building I had been living in for the past couple of months towards the hospital wing. It was going to be a very busy day for me, and I couldn't be more excited. Yesterday, Jessy had asked me if I would like it to help Asher walk again, and I had instantly said yes.
The guy had lost a big part of his walking ability because he had been in a coma for a few weeks, but with a little help Jessy had reassured everyone that their friend would be back to his old self in no time. Soon, I reached the big glass doors of the hospital wing, and with a smile on my face, I went inside.
When I had still been in school it had always been my dream job to work in a hospital one day and while this wasn't what I had in mind back then, this was the closest I would get to the real deal. Jessy was an amazing doctor, and I couldn't be more proud to be called her assistant. One day, I hoped to be able to be just as skilled as Jessy.
"Mc, thank god you're here." Jessy exclaimed once she saw me walk through the big glass doors of the hospital wing.
She immediately picked up some papers and got up from behind her desk before she made her way over to where I was standing. Once she reached me, she immediately shoved some papers in my hands and went back towards her desk, all while a stressed look was clearly visible on her face.
"Please read the papers carefully. It's very important." She said while a serious face looked crossed her face. I nodded quickly.
Whenever Jessy was in a chaotic mood like this, it would just be best if I did exactly as she asked of me. Quickly, I started to scan the papers Jessy had given to me, and a small smile made its way onto my face, immediately understanding why the papers were so important, according to Jessy.
It was Asher's rehabilitation schedule, and knowing Jessy, she would only want the best of the best for her friend. Once I had carefully read all the words Jessy had written on the paper, I slowly walked towards the big wooden desk she was sitting behind and put the papers back on it. Quickly, Jessy looked up from the papers she was reading and stood up again.
"Do you understand everything I've written down?" Jessy asked, a friendly tone lacing her voice.
A small smile started to appear on my face, and I quickly nodded. A soft sigh left Jessy's mouth, and she immediately looked less stressed than she had looked a minute ago.
"Oh good, then we can start right away!" She spoke in an enthousiastic tone, while a smile immediately was visible on her face.
I smiled back and quickly followed her as she began to walk towards the room where Asher was laying at a quick pace. Jessy was walking at a very quick pace, and I almost had to run in order to keep up with her. Soon, both of us were standing in front of a wooden door with a small window in it.
Quickly, Jessy grabbed the handle of the door, and she slowly pushed the metal colored handle down in order to open the door. As soon as the door opened, Asher immediately looked up, and a friendly smile covered his face once he noticed the two of us coming into his room.
Even though I didn't know Asher like the rest of the others did, I felt some sort of connection between the two of us. Ever since Asher had woken up from his coma I had been the one assigned to take care of him and the two of us had quickly bonded over the many hours we had spent together because of that fact.
"Hi Asher, are you ready?" Jessy asked while she quickly walked inside the hospital room Asher was laying in.
All the rooms in the hospital looked exactly the same, dull white walls with a one person white bed and a small nightstand next to it. The gross smell of disinfectant was present in all the rooms of the hospital wing, and unfortunately for Asher, his room wasn't an exception to that statement.
"As ready as I can be, I've been dying to walk again." Asher exclaimed, while a big smile made its way onto his face.
Asher was already sitting on the edge of his white bed and had clearly been waiting for the two of us to come. Ever since the gang member had woken up from his coma all he had done was lay down in bed or sit on the edge of it, because Jessy was afraid that if the guy would overwork himself it would only complicate everything.
"Okay, Mc, please go and stand on his right side, I'll take the left." Jessy ordered, and I immediately did as I was told to. A friendly smile covered Asher's face once both of us stood beside him, and he quickly put his arms around our shoulders before slowly moving to stand up.
As soon as his feet fully touched the ground, I felt the weight on my shoulders increase. It wasn't that Asher was really heavy. He was just very unstable, which resulted in him needing a lot of support from both of us when we were standing next to him.
"That's it Asher, now try to take some steps, okay?" Jessy said while trying her best to support the guy standing in between her and me.
A look of determination crossed Asher's face, and slowly, he started to lift his right leg, only to start shaking on his left leg furiously. A sad smile made its way onto my face once I noticed Asher trying his absolute best to walk, yet it was obvious that without the two of us at his sides, he would fall over instantly. Poor Asher.
"I think we should take a small break." Jessy said after practicing for 10 minutes.
Once she finished her sentence, Asher immediately released both of our shoulders before sitting down with a thump. He looked exhausted while breathing heavily, and slowly, I went to sit next to Asher before giving him an apologetic smile. After a while of the two of us just sitting next to each other and Asher slowly catching his breath, he started to turn his head towards me.
"I've never asked you. How did you actually end up here, Mc?" He asked while a small smile covered his face. This man was labeled as someone extremely deadly once you gave him a weapon, yet the guy sitting next to me had been nothing but extremely sweet and nice. How can someone this sweet be described as someone who could easily put a bullet between someone's eyes?
"Ah, it was kind of an accident, to be honest." I said while a small smile made its way onto my face. Even though I had been scared as hell when I first came here, I had quickly adapted to my new life, and I couldn't be more grateful for Jake taking me with him that day.
"What do you mean by accident?" Asher asked while a questioning tone was lacing his voice. He locked eyes with me, and he looked confused as hell, something I understood completely. Jake's and my story was almost something that could have come straight out of fanfiction. If everything hadn't happened to me myself, I would have been confused as hell, too.
"Well, Jake and I were cellmates back in the prison, and we quickly became friends." I said while a small smile made its way onto my face. The prison had been my worst experience in life, yet I was kind of thankful for it. If I had never gone to prison, I would have never met Jake or anyone who lived with this gang. Even though I had to give up my family, I had found a new one here. An even better one.
"We got into a fight together with some other inmates and both us passed out, after that the first thing I can remember is waking up in the hospital ward while Jake was almost ready climbing inside an air shaft." I continued while I shyly looked down. I clearly remembered the scared feeling that had overtaken me once Jake said he was going to 'get the hell out of there'. I had been scared to death. I would be left alone inside that hellhole of a prison.
"After a small argument between the two of us, Jake decided to take me with him. That's pretty much all there is to the story." I said while a soft giggle left my mouth. It sounded even crazier once I said everything out loud.
"That's awesome!" Asher exclaimed once I was done with my story, all while an excited look could be spotted on his face.
After a while of the two of us talking and Jessy just writing things down on the papers she had picked up from beside Asher's bed, a few knocks sounded on the wooden door of the room. Quickly after the knocking sound had stopped, the door slowly opened only to reveal Jake coming in.
A warm feeling immediately started to spread inside my chest once I saw him enter, and a shy smile started to form on my face. Jake had no idea how much power he had over me. Once Jake took notice of the two of us sitting on the bed, a smile immediately formed on his face, and he quickly walked towards me. Jake immediately leaned down towards my face and quickly gave a small peck on my cheek before whispering.
"Hi baby."
A deep red blush quickly started to form on my face, and I shyly looked down. A soft smile quickly formed on Jake's face once he noticed my blush, and he quickly focused on Asher. He had seen Asher a few times after he had woken up, but the two of them never had actually gotten the chance to talk.
"Wait, what?" Asher suddenly said, confusion clearly lacing his voice. He quickly started to look back and forth between Jake and I.
"I didn't know you two were together?" He exclaimed while the look on his face became even more confused. Jake quickly opened his mouth to answer but stopped when Jessy got up from her seat next to Asher's bed.
"They're not." She said as a disapproving look crossed her face, and she was softly shaking her head. Immediately, a confused look grew onto Jake's face, clearly not understanding what Jessy meant.
"What do you mean we're not together?" Jake finally decided to ask, confusion lacing his voice.
Jake wasn't getting what Jessy was hinting at. He and Mc had been inseparable ever since the two of them had escaped that damn prison.
"Did you ask her, though?" Jessy answered while a knowing look covered her face. Of course, she knew everything about Jake's and my relationship. Well, everything I was willing to tell her. Jake looked like a dear struck by headlights and was at a complete loss for words.
"No, I just assumed we were." Jake said, while a hint of shyness could be detected in his voice. Jessy immediately started to shake her head. furiously.
"You can't just assume these things, Jake. You have to ask her!" Jessy exclaimed, annoyance clearly lacing her voice. Jake quickly grew an annoyed look on his face, and he slowly folded his arms in front of his chest. He quickly shifted his gaze from Jessy to me and looked me straight into the eyes.
"Fine then, wanna be my girlfriend Mc?" Jake said quickly before shifting his gaze back to Jessy. "Happy now?" He asked while the annoyed look was still visible on his face. Jessy immediately started to busily swing her arms around while she was shaking her head furiously.
"No, you can't do it like this!" She exclaimed while disbelief was clearly lacing her voice.
I awkwardly shifted into my seat. Surely, these two must know that I was sitting right here, right? Why would you talk about stuff like this when I was sitting on a mere foot away from the two arguing friends?
After a while of the two of them arguing, I decided enough was enough. Jessy was almost screaming at this point, and Jake looked like he would explode any moment now. Quickly, I got up and went to stand in between the two arguing friends.
"Stop!" I exclaimed when both of them wouldn't stop arguing, and a confused look quickly grew onto both of their faces.
"Yes, I want to be your girlfriend, Jake." I said while a deep sigh left my mouth.
Jessy and Jake had finally stopped arguing, and both of them looked at me with eyes as big as saucers now. Slowly a smirk started to form on Jake's face and he gave Jessy a challenging look, who in return just scoffed and looked away while mumbling 'lucky fucker.'
"Didn't you come here for Asher?" I decided to ask while locking eyes with Jake. He quickly nodded and put his arms around me.
Jake softly pressed me closer and gave me a tight hug. A small smile made its way onto my face, and I quickly hugged my now boyfriend back while burying my face into the crook of his neck. Immediately, the familiar smell of Jake's cologne invaded my nostrils, and slowly, I closed my eyes. This guy truly meant the world to me.

Tumblr media
After ending his phone call, Jake stared blankly ahead, his face the color of snow and his eyes filled with pure terror. Not knowing what came over him, I slowly crawled towards the frozen Jake. With slight hesitation, I reached out towards him, touching his shoulder softly to get his attention and get him out of his trance.
The moment I touched Jake's shoulder, he harshly yerked his body, turning his head around and dropping the phone from his hand. His face was filled with panic while he started to shake lightly. I still had my hand close to his shoulder reached out for him again, trying to get his attention for the second time within a minute.
"Jake are you-"
Jake's eyes suddenly focussed on me. He looked at me with piercing eyes... Eyes filled with emotion. A look I had never seen on him, a combination of fear and panic while his whole body was filled with tension.
"We need to leave, now!"
My eyes switched between Jake's ones, still not knowing what made him so upset all of a sudden.
"What? Why? Jake, what's happening?"
Jake turned around without speaking, searching frantically through the room for clothes the both of us that we could wear. Without answering me, he started to throw multiple pieces of clothing at me, hitting me in the face multiple times without even knowing he did so.
I slowly peeled the t-shirt Jake had just thrown in my face away from my head while I raised one of my eyebrows.
"Hello to earth, Jake." I gave him another questioning look. Jake had just thrown open his closet, throwing out multiple pieces to find exactly what he was looking for.
Pushing away the rest of the clothes Jake had thrown at me, I made my way out of bed, putting on panties before making my way over to him. I slowly walked up to Jake, giving him another ten seconds to pull himself together before I would take action. He never did pull himself together, though, so without giving it much thought, I placed my hands on Jake's shoulders, turned him around, and placed my hands on his cheeks to make him look at me.
"Stop. What's going on? You act like the world is going to hell or something. What the heck is making you so worked up all of a sudden?"
Jake's eyes darted between me, my body slightly losing some tension before a soft sigh left his mouth.
"It's my dad. He's on his way. We need to be at the entrance before he does, I can't make him angry, Mc... I... Just get dressed, please."
Not knowing why Jake was so panicked about his dad or why he felt the need to be on his best when the man would arrive I gave him a small nod before I started to do exactly as Jake had asked me.
Within ten minutes, the both of us were dressed and freshened up. Jake was wearing a dress shirt, some nice pants and neatly polished shoes. Clothes he would never wear but were needed at this time, according to Jake. I was wearing tight jeans and a blouse. Both of us had our hair styled nicely, making sure nothing really stood out, and we both looked like we had just come out of a wedding.
Without eating any breakfast, Jake pulled me after him out of our apartment and into the big hallway. The others were already waiting for us, all of them styled as neatly as Jake and I. All of them in looks they would never wear in a normal situation, well maybe except from Dan. Dan was the only one who actually liked the formalwear out of us all.
I had no idea what was going on, but one thing was sure. This man held a lot of power over all of them if they all did exactly like he asked. Jake pulled me after him, making sure I stood next to him in line while he turned his head towards the big doors.
"Lex, how long before he arrives?"
Lex gave one short look at her watch before answering Jake.
"Any moment now."
I shortly looked over at Jake, his eyes again filled with panic and his body back to being all tensed up. As if on cue, the big doors suddenly opened with a loud bang, the light shortly blinding us all before we could make out who came through them.
I slowly turned my head, my eyes immediately widening at the sight before me. Three men had walked through the door. Two of them were as big as two normal people combined, black suits covering their bodies and a gun in both of their hands. Between them walked a slightly shorter and less intimidating man, well less intimidating bodywise. The man's whole aura screamed danger, and after just one look, I knew this wasn't someone you wanted to mess with.
The man who was probably Jake's and Kaden's father didn't look anything like Jake. Where Jake's aura was a combination between danger and care, this man's aura was filled with only danger. Jake's eyes held emotion where this man looked stone cold. The only thing that seemed similar between the two was their face. Sure, Jake's dad was a lot older, but you could still see the same trademarks he shared with his sons.
I suddenly felt how a hand was pushed on my back, making me look at Jake and instantly getting the hint. All of them were with their heads bowed down slightly to greet their guest while I was still standing up. Instantly following the others, I bowed my head down, only getting up after the others did. Jake slowly stepped forward a little, making sure he stood out from the others before he addressed his father, yet Kaden stood next to Lex in a protective stance.
"Father, I didn't know you were coming. How have you been?"
Jake's dad gave him a short look, grabbing a cigarette from his pocket and lighting it.
"I've heard one of your man got shot during a mission, care to explain how the fuck that could happen Jake?" The older man's voice suddenly sounded through the hallway, the voice was low with a light raspiness to it. A voice filled with anger, a voice you instantly knew not to mess with. Silence fell over the room before a voice a little further into the room answered the man's question with slight fear.
"It was my fault, sir. I hadn't seen the cop. I'm very sorry."
I turned my head a little to see who had taken the blame for me, instantly seeing with a head bowed down Sam a little away from me. I immediately was feeling grateful for the fact my first words to the man didn't have to be admitting the fact that I had fucked up a mission.
Jake's dad gave Sam a short look before muttering something like 'pathetic idiot' without giving anyone time to react. The man's vision suddenly changed direction, his eyes landing on me. I instantly felt the need to step back and crawl within myself. The man's eyes almost pierced through my body, and I was sure the man was able to crush my soul just by looking at me.
"Who the fuck is this?" Jake's father threw his cigarette away before making his way over towards me. My body instantly began to shake and the color slowly drained from my face. Before mister Dalton could reach me, a body suddenly blocked my vision, acting like a wall between the two.
"Her name is Mc, she-..."
Jake's body suddenly moved harshly to the right. He stumbled a little to hold himself upright while my eyes met with the piercing eyes of Mister Dalton again.
"I'm sure the girl can speak for herself." The man took another few steps before he stopped in front of me while giving me a piercing but questioning look. I casted my eyes down, not daring to look the man in the eyes.
"I'm... Mc... Estrada... I work in the hos-hospital wing."
Jake's father suddenly grabbed me harshly by my chin, forcing me to look up at him while he inspected my face.
"Look at me when I speak at you! How did you get here?"
My eyes started to water at the harsh grip the man was having on my chin, and my body was now shaking violently.
"I brought her with me. She was my cellmate, and we escaped together." Jake spoke again, grabbing the attention of his father. A deep sigh left the man's mouth, letting go of my chin while he walked up to Jake.
"Last warning, don't speak for her when I'm asking her the questions!" The man gave Jake a short look before he turned back to me.
"What were you in prison for?"
I had learned from the last five minutes and looked up at the man before mumbling that I had killed my sister. A loud laugh instantly left the man's mouth before I heard Jake speak up once again.
"She didn't do it, though, so that's why I took her with me. I wanted to give her part of her freedom back."
Jake's father instantly turned back to Jake, walking up to him with great speed before a loud slap sounded through the room.
"Last fucking time, don't speak when I'm not asking you anything! Besides who cares if she did it or not! We Dalton's don't care about that kind of stuff!"
Silence fell over the room, all of them only being able to look at the two. I've noticed Kaden clenching his fists and almost stepping in, but Lex stopped him immediately. Jake's cheek slowly turned red while his father's hand still hung a little in the air.
"I want my sons and Dan in the meeting room within five minutes. The others can watch that pathetic excuse of a charity case my son brought from that prison." Without saying another word, the man left the room, followed by his two bodyguards.
Complete silence fell over the room. The only sound was the closing of the door the man had just left through. I didn't dare to move a muscle, afraid I would piss the man off even when he had already left the room. I still didn't know much about this man, but I knew I was shitscared of him.
This man was the devil in human form, and I knew for sure this man was worse than all of the people I had met in prison. My eyes slowly looked up at Jake. He was looking down at the floor with his fists balled. Jake was angry, really angry, and I was afraid about what would happen next between the two of them. It surely wouldn't be anything good.
Everyone had kept quiet for a few seconds before Dan had sprung into action, ordering them all around to do exactly as mister Dalton had asked. Dan had ordered Jessy and I to go check on Asher while he ordered Lex and Sam to go to their apartments, leaving only Jake, Kaden, and Dan in the hallway.
He had seen the slight hesitation in my eyes to leave Jake behind in such a state but before I had the chance to act on my feelings Dan had already dragged Jake behind himself to the meeting room, leaving me in the care of Jessy.

I could feel my blood boiling in my body while Dan dragged me into the meeting room. It hadn't been the first time my father had laid a hand on me, but this time felt different than all the others, and it had sparked a fire in my body. I wasn't afraid of the man anymore, I was angry... I'm really angry.
This time, I had wanted to protect something that belonged to me, and the fact that my father had made me look so vulnerable and weak before Mc and the others made my blood boil. I never thought of myself as someone weak, and I knew I was able to protect my friends whenever I needed to, but my father's action had shown them the complete opposite.
It showed them I just let it happen without fighting back. It showed them my father had complete control over me, and that was exactly what I didn't want.
Sure back in the days I had indeed been too weak to stand up against my father, my upbringing had never been really easy and pretty harsh so whenever I actually did stand up to him I got punished just like the man had done a few minutes ago but I wasn't that weak kid anymore.
I knew how to fight for myself, I knew how to have control over my own life, I knew how to protect those who I loved and I surely knew that letting myself getting hit by this old man wasn't what I wanted. With my fists balled, I walked into the room behind Dan and Kaden, immediately coming face to face with the man I despised more and more every day.
"Sit, all of you." The man started, a small smirk on his face while he looked at raging me.
"Sir, I would..." Dan began while he took place on one of the chairs around the table, instantly being shut up by a small wave from my father, who still had his eyes on the raging me.
I looked at my father with complete hatred, not sitting down and ignoring another command from my father. Dan's eyes switched between the two of us, I knew he was hoping my father wouldn't lash out against me again. My father slowly lifted one of my eyebrows at me, looking me right in the eyes with a piercing look.
"I came here to find out what had gone wrong on your mission, but now that I've seen that we're a homeless shelter, I really want to hear your explanation for that too. So tell me, son, why did you bring that charity case over here?"
My eyes closed a little further, my left eye having a small twitch in it due to all the anger that was going through my body. My hands balled even more into fists, my nails digging sharply in my skin.
"I've already told you, she's innocent, and I wanted to give her part of her freedom back." I spat, my voice laced with anger. Within two seconds, he had stood up from his chair smashing his fist against the table with a loud bang, making everyone flinch back a little.
"Bullshit, Jake!"
With an incredible speed for a man his age, he made his way around the table, stopping right before me. The two of our noses were almost touching each other, both of us giving the other looks filled with anger and hate without stepping back.
"Just tell me she's your personal whore." He whisper shouted dangerously low while some of his spit landed on my face. If I hadn't been on top of my anger by everything that had happened already I sure was now. I could accept a lot but Mc being called a whore was something I couldn't accept, I simply wouldn't allow it, Mc was so much more than that.
"She's not a whore! I don't need whores to fulfill my needs you know, I'm not like you!"
Before anyone could come between the two of us. My father had pushed me back harshly, walking the both of us towards the wall and making my back collide with the hard surface while he kept me trapped against it. He had his hand wrapped tightly around my chin while he was pushed against my chest to keep me in place.
"Then why the fuck is she here, Jake?!"
Without giving it any thought, I pushed my father away from me, creating some small space between the two of us. My father's fingers loosened their grip on me. His nails scratchednharshly on my chin, the skin starting to bleed a little and making the surface slippery enough for me to be able to rip away from him completely.
"She's here because I care for her! I fucking love her, you know!? You have no right to speak about her like you do and I won't allow it!"
My father slowly lifted one of his eyebrows, straightening his tie and clothes a little before he made eye contact with raging me again. He was not feeling any regret for the cuts he had just made on my face.
"Get rid of her! You can't have someone you care for in our business. Have I really taught you nothing? I lost one son to being a piece of shit with feelings! You know that having someone to care for means having a weak spot, and I will not allow you to have one. You will not ruin my fucking business because you suddenly think you need to care for someone! I want you to get rid of her, you're a disgrace to me, your mother and this business. Am I clear to you Jake!?"
I pushed myself away from the wall, my whole face slowly turning red from anger. My body started to shake violently, and my teeth were clenched harshly together.
"I don't fucking care what you think, she's staying if you like it or not and I don't care what mother would have thought about it either. She gave up her right to give her opinion about things when she decided to jump of this fucking building, and don't you fucking dare to call my brother a piece of shit. Look in the mirror, father."
Without giving anyone time to react, I stormed out of the room, smashing the door behind me with a loud bang while leaving Dan and Kaden with my father. I had heard enough, and I didn't wanna hear any more of my father deciding how I should live my life.
Mc was my world, and nobody would come between that, not even my asshole of a father.

Jake never came home that night, making not only me but all the other people who had witnessed everything that had happened worried as hell. Dan had come to me late at night, asking if he could speak with Jake to tell him his father had left the building when we found out Jake had never returned to his apartment.
The two of us immediately started to search for him, I was finding myself once again in an awkward situation with a half-naked Kaden opening his door and Lex laying rather weird on their couch. Without looking too much at the two. Kaden had told me to look for Jake on the rooftop, something about him always going there whenever he was upset.
So said so done, I had continued my search towards to rooftop. Although I was afraid of heights, I had climbed up the stairs to get me to where Jake might be, and like Kaden had said, Jake was indeed on the rooftop. The only problem was that he wasn't alone, Jake was surrounded by multiple bottles of strong liquor... Empty bottles.
My breath stuck in my throat while looking at him. Jake sat slumped against the wall with multiple liquor bottles surrounding him. All of the bottles seemed empty due to the way they were carelessly thrown around on the hard concrete floor. I slowly took a few steps forward. He didn't even notice the fact that there was another person on the roof with him at the moment.
Jake's eyes looked almost empty while he stared blankly to a point on the other side of the roof. Nothing indicated that he heard or even saw me, and that fact alone worried me a lot. Jake wasn't someone you could sneak up on. He always knew you were there. Jake was always on high alert. He always knew when something happened around him, so the fact that he didn't even hear or see me at all at the moment wasn't a good sign.
"Jake?" I softly whispered, hoping to get a reaction out of him without startling him too much.
Within an instant, Jake had turned his head and tried to stand up but stumbled on his feet almost immediately. He pushed his hand against the wall to steady himself while his body slowly swung back and forward. His eyes darted from left to right around my body, clearly not being able to focus on me.
My eyes instantly widened, not expecting him to go as far as he had gone with the liquor. Jake wasn't someone who did things out of the blue, and getting drunk definitely wasn't something that fit his whole persona. My eyes darted over Jake's body, stopping at his face. His unfocused and red face due to all the alcohol. A face that was filled with emotion, emotions I had never seen on Jake. My eyes darted towards Jake's eyes, and at that exact moment, I knew things were bad... It's really bad.
"Jake, are you crying?" I whispered again, slowly taking a few steps towards the drunk guy but already knowing the answer to my own question.
Jake's eyes were red, wet lines marked his cheeks, and his lashes were clumped together. He removed his hand from the wall, trying to take a step towards me but failing miserably, resulting him in toppling over his own feet. I immediately sprung into action, grabbing Jake by his arms while steading him on his feet.
"Holy shit how drunk are you?"
"Not drunk enough." Jake mumbled while his legs slowly gave out from underneath him. "Still...hurts..."
I placed my arms on Jake's upper body, bringing us slowly back to the ground so I could sit against the wall with the drunk Jake. I placed his back against the wall, sitting beside me while looking at him with a worried look.
Heavy tears started to stream down Jake's face almost instantly while soft sobs left his mouth. His hand desperately searched the floor around him for another bottle of liquor, letting out a strangled cry when he couldn't find one.
"No. Make it stop... Give me another." Jake turned his head towards me. looking at me with the most desperate and begging eyes I had ever seen on him.
"Please give me another."
I slowly reached forward, not knowing what to tell him. I didn't want to give him more booze, but I also didn't want to tell him no. I had never seen Jake drunk, and I had no idea how he would react if I wouldn't give him what he wanted right now. So I did the one thing I knew I was good at... Comforting people. Within an instant, I had Jake wrapped up in my arms, his head on my shoulder, and my hands securely placed on his head and back.
"Jake..."
Loud sobs suddenly left Jake's mouth, and his hands bawled themselves up in my shirt.
"Please make it stop."
I wrapped the crying Jake a little more up in my embrace while small tears started to form in my own eyes. I had no idea what was wrong with Jake, but it was clearly very bad.
"Jake, talk to me. Let me help you. What do I need to stop?"
Jake kept crying like there was no tomorrow, wetting my shirt completely.
"All of it... Why do they have to ruin everything?"
I let my hand wander through Jake's hair in the hope it would calm him somewhat down.
"They? You mean your father?"
A few more sobs left Jake's mouth before a soft sarcastic laugh suddenly left his mouth.
"That pathetic excuse of a man who calls himself my father you mean, I fucking hate him..." Another sob left Jake's mouth and I instantly tightened my hold around him further.
"Why couldn't he have died... Why did she leave me...she..."
More uncontrollable sobs left Jake's mouth, breaking me down completely. Heavy tears dripped even faster out of his eyes, and his whole body tensed up. No more words left Jake's mouth. Only deep, heartbreaking sobs reached my ears. Not knowing how to calm him down, I slowly rocked our bodies from side to side while whispering soft and encouraging words to him.
Seconds passed, seconds who turned into minutes and minutes, who turned into a full hour before Jake finally calmed down enough to give him somewhat control over his own body and actions again. All while still being wrapped up in my arms. I softly stroked his hair, detaching myself a little from him while I slowly let go of Jake's back.
I pushed Jake's face up a little, making eye contact with the most broken eyes I had ever seen on Jake. Tears still streamed down his face, and within an instant, I had reached my hand out towards them, wiping them away softly while I placed a soft kiss against his forehead.
"Jake, please talk to me. Please let me help you. Who is she? Who were you talking about?"
Jake casted his eyes downward, opening his mouth multiple times before he finally managed to bring out the two words that caused him so much pain.
"My mother."
Another fat tear dropped out of his eyes, quickly being wiped away by my fingers.
"Hey, it's okay. Let it all out. Talk to me, baby."
More tears dripped out of Jake's eyes while a soft sigh left his mouth.
"I miss her. Every time that asshole comes around, he reminds me how much I miss her. Why couldn't he jump down? Why did it have to be her."
I wiped a few more tears away from his face, bringing Jake back in for another hug. I shuffled us a little around, making myself sit with my back against the big stone wall. Jake was firmly placed sideways against my chest, making it possible for me to speak with him while seeing him and cuddle him at the same time.
"Do you know why she did it... Why did she jump?" I softly asked while I stroked Jake's cheek. His eyes closed while he shook his head a little.
"I guess she was just done with this life. She just left me, Mc. She didn't even give me the chance to say goodbye. She left me and Kaden with that asshole and the place she decided to jump from."
My eyebrows furrowed a little, not being able to follow him completely. Place she jumped from? Jake slowly removed his head from my chest, opening his eyes and looking with a pained look at a corner at the other side of the roof.
"That's where she jumped. That's where she decided to kill herself, and that's when I had to do shit on my own. She was the only person apart Kaden I could rely on Mc, why did she do it... Why did she have to leave us like that? Didn't she love us?"
Another wave of sobs and tears started to leave from Jake's mouth and eyes, breaking me down once again. Not knowing what to answer to those questions, I wrapped Jake back up in my arms, providing him with as much comfort as I could give him right now.
Words wouldn't help him right now, neither would answer to those questions, so I did the only thing I knew would help... Being there for Jake and giving him my full attention and support in this rare moment of weakness.
Slowly an hour passed by, an hour in which Jake cried non stop and eventually fell asleep in my arms, probably due to the still heavy amount of alcohol in his system in combination with complete exhaustion from all the crying. With a soft sigh, I stroked his cheek and hair, feeling terrible for the pain he must have gone through in the last few hours.
"It hurts me so much to see you hurt like this, Jake." I whispered softly against Jake's sleeping form while giving him a kiss against his forehead.
A few more minutes passed before I came to the conclusion that both of us were stuck on a roof surrounded by empty liquor bottles. There was no way in the seven heavens that I would be able to lift Jake up and bring us both to our apartment. Waking Jake up also wasn't an option. Even if I managed to get him awake and on his feet, Jake wouldn't be able to get down the stairs with the amount of alcohol in his body.
It didn't take long for me to figure out I was going to need some help getting away from the roof, every plan that didn't involve a third person was doomed to go wrong and so I grabbed Jake's phone and dialed the one person who I was sure would be able to help me.
"Bro, I swear to god you and that girlfriend of yours both have terrible timing..." Kaden's voice sounded annoyed from the other side of the line.
"It's Mc. I need your help."
A small silence fell between the two of us. He was clearly surprised by the change of person.
"What's wrong?"
A soft sigh left my mouth before I started to speak again.
"I found Jake, but he's really drunk and fell asleep. I won't be able to get him back to our apartment. Can you please help me, Kaden?"
Another silence fell between the both of us while I heard how Kaden started to say something towards who I believed would probably be Lex before I heard Kaden come back on the phone.
"Where are you two?"
"On the roof." I breathed out while I tightened my grip a little harder around Jake the moment I heard a soft whimper coming from him.
"I'll be there in five." Kaden shortly answered before he hung up the phone and left me once again alone with Jake. I instantly wrapped my arm back on him, cuddling him a little more into my chest, hoping Kaden would indeed be there in five minutes.
As promised, Kaden was indeed within five minutes on the rooftop, having brought Lex with him. Both of them gave Jake a sympathetic look before Kaden kneeled down in front of me and Jake.
"It's been really long since I've seen him this bad from some alcohol. How much did he have?"
My eyes wandered to the multiple empty liquor bottles a little to my right, Kaden's vision instantly following me.
"All of that."
Lex kneeled down beside Kaden, slowly reaching her hand out towards Jake and wiping away some hairs from his forehead.
"Is it me, or does it look like he has been crying?"
I looked up at Lex before I changed my vision back to Jake.
"He did, a lot."
A deep sigh left Kaden's mouth, and before I could bring out another word, he reached out towards Jake and hoisted him up in his arms.
"Come on, let's get him into bed."
I gave Kaden a soft nod while Lex helped me up on my feet. The four of us silently walked through the big halls of the building. Kaden with Jake in his arms while Lex had her arm wrapped around my waist.
"Do you know why he was crying? Jake rarely cries, only when our father drives him to complete anger." Kaden suddenly asked, turning his head a little to get a better look at me while he still kept walking with a sleeping Jake in his arms. I looked down before I softly spoke up.
"He told me about your mother."
Kaden instantly gave me a soft nod, not needing more information from me and already knowing enough just by those words. The four of us eventually reached our apartment, all of us going inside where Kaden brought Jake to bed. He and Lex left pretty quickly after telling me to call them if I needed something and to take care of Jake.
I nodded my head at their request before I got into bed with Jake, cuddling him against my body.
"I will, I will always take care of him."

I slowly opened my eyes, a warm feeling covered my body, and soft puffs of breath hit my forehead. A small smile fell on my face at the sight before me. Jake was lying next to me on our shared bed, his eyes still closed and his mouth slightly open. Jake's arm was placed over my middle to keep me close to him, providing me with a nice amount of heat on my body.
Without giving it a second thought, I snuggled a little closer towards him, pushing my head against his chest while alining the rest of our bodies. I softly rubbed my cheek against Jake's body, trying to get as much body heat from him as possible. I loved being this close to him. It gave me a feeling of safety.
Whenever I was with Jake, I knew there was nothing to be afraid of. Not only did I trust Jake with my life, but I also trusted him with my feelings. There was no doubt anymore that both of us felt some sort of attraction towards each other. If you had asked me a few months back how I thought about Jake, I would have probably answered something like 'scary cellmate', but that wasn't the case anymore.
Jake had proved to me that he was not only nice but also caring towards me, and I loved every moment of it. I softly placed a featherlight kiss on Jake's collarbone, my heart beating in my chest due to my own action. Sure, I had already made out with him, and sure, we always shared a bed together, but lately, it felt like our relationship was slowly going further than only the innocent stuff.
We weren't officially together, but it did feel like that to me. It felt like Jake was mine, and I was his. A soft groan above my head shook me awake from my own thoughts, my lips still lingering on Jake's chest. Jake instantly tightened his arm around me, pushing his head against my hair and smelling the light smell of shampoo that still lingered there.
"Morning, Mc."
"Good Morning. I'm sorry for waking you up." I softly whispered while I slowly looked up to get a better look at him. Jake's hand traveled from my back to my cheek, a small smile on his face and a caring look in his eyes.
"It's okay."
Both of us kept looking at each other, both of us completely lost in the other's eyes. It didn't take long before Jake softly bowed his head a little further, catching my lips with his own. He immediately took the lead, moving his own lips against mine.
I had been somewhat surprised but instantly catched on with the action, molding my own lips against his while I closed my eyes. Jake pushed his hand a little harder against my cheek, guiding me to turn on my back a little more. Without questioning his action, I rolled on my back, giving Jake full control over the situation.
I placed one of my hands against his chest while Jake turned himself on his side. He softly bit my lip, a small smirk on his face before he managed to push his tongue inside my mouth. Our tongues softly battled for dominance before Jake managed to get the upper hand once again.
Jake turned his body a little further, climbing over me with one leg so he was completely above me. He placed both of his hands next to my head while he remained seated on his knees. His upper body bent to get his face on the same level as mine while our lips kept clashing together.
My hands softly started to roam over his chest, not really knowing what I was doing, but somehow, it felt good to me. Feeling Jake above me felt amazing, having him so close, felt amazing, kissing him, and I felt amazing, and judging from Jake's actions, I was pretty sure he felt the same.
Jake suddenly let go of my lips, looking me shortly in my eyes before he placed his lips on my collarbone. Soft butterfly kisses were placed on my body and neck. He was giving some spots a little more attention than others. He slowly made his way to a spot right below my ear, sucking on it softly while he earned himself a little gasp from me.
A slight smirk fell on Jake's face before he started to suck at a little harder, licking and biting on the same spot to give me a mark that would last for days. Without having any control of my own body, a soft moan erupted from my throat.
"You like that baby?" Jake whispered between his kisses, going down my neck again to give a little attention to my chest. His hand started to creep under my shirt at the same time, slowly pushing it upwards until his fingers came in contact with my nipple. Jake kept kissing around my neck while he also started to give some attention to my nipple. He softly rubbed it to earn himself some more moans from my throat.
"Can I take your shirt off, Mc?"
I instantly nodded my head, my mind already getting clouded with hormones.
"Please."
Jake pushed up my shirt a little, letting his hands roam over my body a little before he completely pushed the thin material up over my head. Our eyes locked for a second, Jake softly rubbed his hand against my cheek.
"You're so pretty."
A light blush spread over my cheeks while I looked away from Jake.
"Thanks."
A large smile fell over Jake's face. He dipped down a little to catch my lips with his own before he slowly started to travel down. Soft moans began to erupt from my mouth again, encouraging Jake even more to continue with his actions. He kept going down and down before his lips finally found their target.
He softly started to suck on my nipple, biting it lightly every once in a while to get even more reaction out of me. My moans became even more vocal at the actions while making me push my hips upwards almost involuntarily due to all the stimulation. My hips almost instantly bumped against Jake's, making him groan softly while he kept sucking on my nipple. A deep moan erupted from my mouth at the sudden friction, making me open my eyes in shock but closing them almost instantly due to the amazing feeling Jake was giving me.
Not knowing how to go from there, I placed my hips back down, silently wanting more of the amazing feeling I had just felt but not knowing how to ask for it. Jake removed his mouth from my left nipple to replace it with the right one, pushing his own hips a little down to make contact with me again. Almost instantly, our hips made contact again, creating friction between us that sent a wave of pleasure in both of our bodies. In contraction to me, Jake didn't put his hips back up, keeping it against mine while he softly started to rub up and down.
A deep moan erupted from my mouth again while Jake started to groan, too. I placed one of my hands in Jake's hair, softly pulling it to feel even more of him. He pushed a little harder down, getting an even harder moan out of me. At this point, both of us were down for whatever would happen further.
Jake slowly let go of the nipple in his mouth to get a short time at me before he spoke.
"Mc, can I touch you?"
Mu eyes opened a little, pushing myself a little more against Jake before giving him permission to do exactly what he had asked. Not knowing what Jake's next move was gonna be a loud moan erupted from my mouth the moment I felt Jake push both of our pants down and made us come in direct contact with each other. Instantly, Jake moved up and down again, creating even more friction than before.
Soft moans started to erupt from our mouths before Jake caught my lips with his own once again. As if my body started to react on my own, I pushed my hips up a little more. More moans make their way out of our mouths at the increasing friction. Jake shortly let go of my mouth while he brought his hand down to my lower area.
Without giving it a second thought, he slid his hand under my panties, rubbing me softly at first but increasing his speed rapidly due to the moans that came out of my mouth. His hand was pumping his erection in meanwhile, too.
"I'm close..." I suddenly whispered while Jake had made it his move again to litter my throat in kisses. At my words, Jake increased his speed a little more, being close to himself too, probably. Deep moans kept coming out of my mouth while more and more groans left Jake's own.
I kept moaning over and over before I finally I came on Jake's hand, a last deep and loud moan left my mouth. A few more pumps later, Jake released himself too, a loud groan coming from his throat before he softly let pushed his fingers out while he placed his head in my neck while grumbling a soft.
"I love you."
A soft laugh erupted from my mouth before I mumbled the same words back at him, both of us completely drained due to our little activity. An activity that had felt amazing to both of us and which we had never wanted to do with anyone else. Our non official relationship had been taken one step further, and none of us regretted it at all. Jake softly placed a kiss against my neck before he slowly started to get up.
"Stay there, let me clean you up."
I gave him a soft nod, a large smile falling over my face. Like Jake said he did, he went to the bathroom and cleaned me and himself up while providing me with multiple kisses in the meantime.
"I love you so freaking much."
My smile grew even larger, placing my own lips against Jake's this time.
"I love you too, Jake."
Both of us kept looking at each other for a small amount of time before Jake's phone started to buzz from the nightstand. Jake threw the wet towel towards the bathroom before he walked over to his phone, frowning a little at the caller id before he picked it up.
"Dan, this isn't... wait, what!? What do you mean my father will be here!?" Jake yelled loudly, his eyes big while his face paled.
