The pixilation of it is weird (probably because of twitter’s compression) so if I want to recolour it I’m gonna have to clean it up by hand :( I tried running it through some basic image editing options to see if any would help, but that just made it worse, so time to pull out the old square tool and do it manually..

Just spotted that Nankidai apparently posted this Joe pixel art on twitter back in 2021 and I completely missed it. I 10000% have to do something with this omg (it looks bit big in the post editor so hiding under a read more)

#it's been sized up too - it's like 1000 pixels tall instead of 100 - which was probably for merch making + twitter posting #scaling it down causes issues with the colours rn so I'll small-ify it once it's cleaned

The greenblings should have the same hair colour, right? Chose your pick! Sou’s hair colour, Kanna’s hair colour, or the average of the two! Variations with Midori under the cut, since Sou refers to him as an older brother figure one (1) time + he has green hair. I wanted to do Kugie as well, but I’m not spending forever editing her talksprite or CGs. Sorry ;;

saw this and though ‘pink Q-Taro but colourpicked from sakura blossoms’ so here u go (note: second one has green from leaves, first one keeps the original hat colour)

All I did was change the red to pink and he looks 100x better than canon I think we should invest in pink qtaro more @faemesbond

chap 1 is fully functional! :D I still need to playtest chapters 2 & 3, but it’s looking good! (I’m not actually sure about distribution though - mods are a form of copyright infringement, and although personal use is a-okay, I’m not sure about the legality of providing it for anyone to play for free..? I mean, I’d just be uploading edited image files to replace the ones in the base game, and Nankidai has previously been supportive of other fan works, but I have 0 clue what his official policies are for fanworks. I’m assuming it follows the basic idea of ‘don’t sell it, otherwise it’s fine’, but I’m not certain about that...)

mod playtesting update: managed to break the first main game through a mistake which probably also breaks the banquet. oops. it’s an easy fix luckily, but still funny.

#I'll have a look around #worst case scenario I'll just post a video of me playing through the mod #or people will just have to DM me for the files or something

okay, that’s enough beta testing for tonight! I need to double check my files & finish off those two CGs + 1 bg, but the mod seems to otherwise be working! 

#I can't find one file that I need to edit #but uh.. editing it might actually make it impossible to play through chap 2 p1 so. maybe that's okay

agh! I forgot about that other annoying background! good to know that I missed it.. everything else seems to be working well enough! chap 3-1a loaded in with no issues, but I’ll have to check all the chapters individually since they use different assets. hopefully this means that I haven’t forgotten any other files though!

-accidentally named the ‘parallexes’ folder ‘parallax’ -at some point lost 5 files in the ‘character’ section, including ‘vehicles’ (never used in-game), and also 3 inventory files that I did need to edit and were used in-game... -forgot to include the ‘ButtonSet’ file, also a default that is never used in-game

will keep this updated as I go lmao

expect the mod to drop tomorrow or the day after, I guess? this was a pretty quick project all thing considered, but I’ve also spent like. at least 12 hours on it. 

while procrastinating on the 2 remaining CGs, I double checked the other image folders to be certain and I’m glad I did,, there were like 6 easy edits I needed to do that I’d missed ;; not too far off from playtesting this mod! -V + Owa
