list ten facts about your muse: 1. Iz’ko and his family are cemented in the working caste.  They’re farmers, plain and simple. 2. Aside from chasing a few would-be poachers and thieves off his property, Iz’ko has not seen actual combat.  His talent for marksmanship was born of need; predatory beasts would make an easy meal of his livestock, and (as mentioned already) other inhabitants may try to make off with his prize animals.  Push comes to shove, and Izzi is damn good at shoving.  3. He is actually none-too-fond of the nickname ‘Izzi’.  His sister was the one to originally start addressing him as such, and that eventually spread to friends---now he’s basically stuck with it, and he has learned to tolerate it, to an extent.  That said, it is still reserved for those who fall into the ‘friends’ category.  It’s a good way to see where one stands with him, too; call him ‘Izzi’ at some point, and if he doesn’t raise an objection, one has gotten on his good side. 4.  The Horde -- because of collective action in Zuldazar, the Horde has his unwavering loyalty, so long as there are no contradictions between its needs and that of his Queen.  He is Zandalari first, Horde second..but he will make it perfectly clear that its members earned his favor and every shred of loyalty he has is to the faction, not its leadership. 5. While above is true to the fullest extent, he will not attack a member of the Alliance unless aggression is shown towards him (or an ally, friend, or family member) first. 6. His armor :  while reminiscent of the valiant gold worn by the most prestigious of their society, it is most certainly not.   Compared directly, one would notice that his is less...extravagant, less flashy, and far more practical. 7. The two ravasaurs most often at his side -- Chira, a vivid red female, and Minzi, a snow-white male -- serve as the “guard dogs” of his land when they’re not with him, and when they do accompany him in his travels, instead one of their adult offspring takes up the mantle.   8. Along with the above, most of the animals that fight alongside him are those he has raised; ravasaurs, pterrodaxes, devilsaurs, direhorns, and a couple anklyodon.  This extends to the ravasaur and pterrodax that serve as mounts, too; both raised and trained by his own hand. 9. His absolute favorite place in the world (besides Zuldazar, of course)?  Feralas.  It’s beautiful, serene; the wildlife is fun to watch, and that resort the goblins have going on?  To die for! 10. He’s actually very nervous around deep water.  Make no mistake, he can swim just fine, but there is something about the abyss that bodies of water create that puts him on edge, to a point that, even aboard a ship, he’s restless and jumpy.  This, however, he will not make too obvious, unless things are hitting the fan.  One has to pay close attention, and if they know what to look for, they’ll see it. list five things they like: 1. Unless he’s caught out in it (and even then, sometimes it’s nice), Izzi loves the rain.  Add a little thunder and lightning to the mix, and he’ll be ecstatic. 2. Sometimes it’s nice to just hop on his ravasaur and head out for a long ride across the land; no direction, no real purpose, just escaping the everyday monotony and checking things out. 3. He’s a warm weather guy and nothing is changing that. 4. It’s fairly basic, but Izzi loves what he does.  He enjoys his animals, actually likes the work most days, and the end reward is worth it all. 5.  Darkmoon Special Reserve.  That’s all that needs to be said about that. list five things they dislike: 1. Anything robotic, particularly those that appear entirely sentient, like hunter pets and certain assistant constructs.  They’re unnatural and creepy as hell.  If it does a basic function, such as pick up or move things, it’s fine, but if it actively engages the world around it, he wants little to do with it. 2. To go with one mentioned above, Izzi despises the cold.  Though his definition of cold likely differs from many others -- for him, it is defined as pretty much any temperature under 75 degrees F -- exposing him to such is a great way to see him very unhappy very quickly.   Needless to say, Winterspring can bite his ass, as can the jerks who made him go there. 3. Gnomes.  It is not that he dislikes them, necessarily, but it is...strange, talking to something that little and hearing it talk back. 4.  Silvermoon City.  He’s only been there twice and it was most certainly not for him.  Thunder Bluff and Orgrimmar are more to his tastes. 5. 🗡｡･:*:･ﾟ Perhaps it wasn’t wise for her to stalk members of the Horde, but after everything that happened, Nanthis hardly thought she was to blame. They did not show her people the kindness not to hunt them down and murder them unjustly, so why should she not do the same?

Nanthis never liked the opposing faction, but her hatred was solidified with the genocide of her people. There were few that attempted to help, but they were very few. And the assassin much rather take out anyone that she saw rather than interrogate and ask whether or not they were one that aided the Kal’dorei as they burned. 

The rogue sat atop a tree branch, as silent as death, poison coating every weapon she owned. This prey seemed easy enough, alone, minding their own business in the woods. They just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Dropping out of the tree like a cat on the hunt, Nanthis pulled both daggers from their holsters and prepared herself for the kill. 

We’re getting closer, he thinks, as he crouches above a footprint planted deep in dirt.  He reaches to touch, finding the soil pliable and soft instead of hardened by the air, meaning this was fresh.  No doubt they’re on the right track.

From the brush ahead comes a soft trill, a subtle warning mixed in with the calls of other jungle creatures, but one he picks out and recognizes without shadow of a doubt.  His most loyal companion had spotted something, her feathered head tipped to the side, listening, watching with rapt attention.  Ah, yet again, instinct conquers.  There was something there with him, behind him, and it was coming far too close for comfort.  The tension crawling up his spine, pooling at the base of his neck - it spoke of another's eyes upon him, watching, perhaps judging and weighing the options.  Iz'ko smiles, seemingly at the ground as he rolls dirt between thumb and forefinger.  If that is indeed the case, then good; so is he.  Chira rumbles again, low and menacing.  What she sees, what he feels is closer now.   

The target was initially a sabertusk, a massive white beast that had been eyeing a few animals back home, only retreating when an arrow struck deep in its shoulder.  While not quite the mark he'd hope for, it worked well enough.  The beast retreated...but those damn things were not known for giving up easily.  Thus, Iz'ko is here now, with the ravasaur at his side, to finish the job before it opts for round two.  It’s a carbon copy of the countless times he had done this very thing in the past.

However, something is off this time.

That feeling of closer hits, and he does not hear the telltale growl of anticipation.  What comes is an alarmed squawk from the ravasaur stationed a few paces ahead, to which he raises a hand against his chest, palm out, signaling she remain where she is.  He stills, listening, waiting.  There is nothing to hear -- whatever or whoever had found him is good, no question about that -- thus he’s relying on Chira’s eyes.  Her squawk becomes a screech of warning, and the bow is ripped from its holster upon his back, ready and aimed with an arrow drawn back as he whirls to face their intruder.  

“Try it.” Grass rustles.  A few sticks crackle under weight, and in the next moment, he feels the flick of a tail against his back as his pet prowls behind him.  “I dare ya.”

— basics

▸ is your muse tall/short/average? Average for a Zandalari.

▸ are they okay with their height? He’s fine with it. 

▸ what’s their hair like? Black as night in color. When it comes to texture and weight it’s incredibly soft and fluffy, almost as if cotton or even cloud soft--until he has it styled, at least.  Even a small mohawk doesn’t just stay up without something in it, after all.

▸ do they spend a lot of time on their hair/with their grooming? At one point, he had to, when first learning to create the look familiar to him.  These days it comes easily to him, and thus, he does not need the additional time messing around with grooming himself.  The basics are just fine; unless there is some formal reason to go overboard, he’s not going to.  Presentable and clean is good enough.

▸ does your muse care about their appearance? This depends.  If he is in a town or city away from his home, or surrounded by people not in battle, then yes, he absolutely does care about his appearance.  He is one of the Zandalari.  He should be and is immensely proud of that--and that pride should show in his appearance.  Looking like a slob is absolutely out of the question.  However, if he’s out in the field--running around, working, and what have you--he couldn’t care less.  It’s the one time people will find him dirty and disheveled without a second thought about it.

▸ does your muse care about what others think about them? If he does not consider someone a part of his family (this includes close friends), then no, he absolutely does not.  Why should he?  A stranger’s opinion scarcely matters in the big picture, so he’s not going to work himself up over it. If those others are people close to him, then the answer does a complete turn-around.  He’ll do whatever he must to remain in their good graces, and ensure that their every thought of him comes hand-in-hand with pride.

▸ what are some of your muse’s bad habits? The fact he willingly works himself to the bone.  His family has a decent spot in their given caste, on the upper end without venturing past the perceived boundaries into the next, and he would like to ensure that it stays that way for the sake of his nephew and, perhaps one day, his own children.  To do that, everything needs to be in order; crops harvested in a timely manner, beasts cared for and trained for their purpose, supplies delivered and received, invaders (natural and not) driven off, things fixed up or replaced, and so forth.  It’s a lot to worry about, and one had best be sure Iz’ko is worrying about every last little thing.  

▸ has your muse lost anyone close to them? how has it affected them? His father.  The sabertusks are wicked beasts, and one had managed to catch the troll off guard while he was out in the field, ultimately leading to his untimely demise.  Iz’ko was young when it happened, and his mother did not allow him to see the aftermath, so the effect wasn’t as...devastating as perhaps it could have been.  Naturally, he grieved with the rest of his family, but with time, the wound healed.  They were able to move on with him as a fond memory.  However, one thing that Iz’ko did take from that day was, he had to step up and fill his father’s shoes; taking care of the land, taking care of their animals, taking care of and providing for the family.  So, it also had a small contribution to his workaholic nature.

▸ what are some fond memories your muse has? Childhood memories. Just. Memories of childhood weaved with the help of a loving family. Those days at the beach that ended really late at night the two siblings being carried back home under their father’s arms. Days spent in the field with his mother playing in the dirt and chasing off critters, capturing and releasing them back into the wild, far from the field so they would cause no further harm to the crops (and potentially earn his mother’s wrath for their troubles). Hot days splayed out on the roof of his home with ice-cold drinks, sometimes with his sister for company, sometimes a couple friends.  Those were good days, he misses them quite a bit some days.

▸ is it easy for your muse to kill? Oh, absolutely.  While he is one who would prefer not to do so, when the need arises, Iz’ko has absolutely no problem taking a life, though it does take some drastic measures to push him to that point.  Threatening or outright harming him, his pets (or any animal, really--it’s one thing to hunt, it’s another to torment), his family, a child -- just to name a few buttons to push.

▸ is your muse capable of trusting someone with their life? Indeed.  To reach that level of companionship with him does take some work, and only a handful of people can say they have done so, but it is possible.  

▸ what’s your muse like when they’re in love? Massive, scary troll becomes giant, awkward doofus.  So in other words, he’s pretty damn adorable. He is one who will gladly give everything he can for the object of his affection if they return his feelings. Until he’s certain they do, though, he’s a mess that flushes black at the smallest flirt or tease, stares down at the ground a lot, and stumbles over his words.

On their land, the fruits, herbs, and vegetables grown are generally Kah’rini’s responsibility.  She prefers it, or so she claims, so one will often find her out in the fields with her son, tending to or harvesting the plants.  The animals--some of them belong to their mother; the riverbeasts that they use and sell for food, mainly, and two of the direhorns, whereas the rest of of the MVPs in their livestock are Iz’ko’s.  He takes great pride in his little menagerie, which includes:

Rarely in his life has Iz’ko seen actual, person-to-person combat.  He is a farmer, a livestock breeder; such a life does not generally call for squaring up with others, unless it’s a squabble over land or chasing off a ballsy person who thought it wise to steal from his family (crops, attempting to make off with smaller animals, etc).  However, he has managed to perfect the fine art that is marksmanship, and survival, and stalking one’s prey through unforgiving terrain.  This comes from, once again, defending his land.  There are a number of predators that hunt Zuldazar, and few predators would pass on the chance for a seemingly easy meal.  There are also some herbivores that would see the planted fields as a buffet for the taking.  Neither of these is acceptable.  

Many creatures are skittish when faced with unknown, loud sounds, so he’ll usually start there, making as much noise as he possibly can in an attempt to frighten the beasts away.  If that doesn’t work, the bow comes into play.  He’ll shoot the intruder down and make use of the remains--though sometimes that is not possible.  A wounded beast may run off, only to return later once its injuries have healed; plus, the thought of leaving an animal in pain out there is a little heartwrenching.  Iz’ko would rather give it a humane end than leave it to suffer.  In those instances, he’ll take to the surrounding areas, following what trails he can find, seeking the wayward intruder to ensure it does not come back for a round two...
