the rpc doesn't have an entitlement/politeness issue, the rpc has just grown up and knows their worth, and also that they don't owe anyone anything vice versa

see like, fine. whatever. i think recognizing that you don't owe people precious time is a good thing! it takes that pressure of yourself and everyone around you, too. it's a hobby not a jobby etc. but the problem here is people use this to excuse they fact they don't see the people on the opposite ends of their computer screens as real people. like you can uphold that you are more committed to important things irl, because you should be and i will never dunk on someone for that, but just not giving people the time of day, not respecting them as people, just straight up not responding, or not taking the time to approach/interact is nasty to me.

you owe people basic kindness unless they breach that. maybe that's just me but i don't think being nice to people online or irl isn't bad. in fact i think we can all get way nicer to each other.
