[ID: A graphic in various shades of purple. At the top, there is the Ace Week logo consisting of an ace flag shaped as a speech bubble and a purple square with the text "Ace Week" inside of it. In the middle, there are the words "Beyond Awareness" in large font. In smaller font at the bottom, "October 24th - 30th, 2021"]
The theme for Ace Week 2021 is "Beyond Awareness"
While educating people about asexuality is always going to be a part of the work we do every Ace Week, we've come a long way since Ace Week was founded as Asexual Awareness Week in 2010. There are so many other goals for us to pursue during Ace Week in addition to awareness!
Reblog this post with ace activism goals (other than awareness) that are important to you! Alternatively, send us an ask :)
“All women are demisexual” is a very sexist, uneducated about demisexuality, and rooted in gender role expectations of purity culture thing to say, actually
Hey! My name’s Leo, I’m FTM and use he/him pronouns. I am diagnosed with anxiety, depression, and body dysmorphic disorder. I meet the DSM-V criteria for NPD (I use the royal/ deific modifiers), BPD, and possibly something Cluster A, but I am not diagnosed. I am 16, so keep that in mind and don’t be creepy. (If you don’t want to interact with minors and I’ve accidentally followed you, please let me know and I’ll fix it.)
So I can get to know people, reblog if you:
Have any personality disorder (Cluster B or A especially)
Are LGBT
Are a royal or deific narc
Are schizo-spec
Have BDD or an ED
Advocate to destigmatize mental health
Are not a TERF/radfem
Are not a MAP or supporter
Are not a discourse blog
Are not a bigot of any kind
Are not ableist to those with NPD, ASPD, psychosis, or any other rarer disorder
Asexual autistic people and aromantic autistic people are absolutely amazing! You guys aren’t stereotypes and your identity isn’t harmful for existing. Don’t let ignorant people get you down.
I fucking adore being ace. its a key part of who i am and no allo person has a view of the world the same as i do. it has changed my perception of the world in a way nothing else can and i am more powerful for it. and this is true of every other asexual and/or aromantic person. your experiences with life and love are unique to you and im so proud of you.
