If you recall, I majored in #graphicdesign. And what I really loved was #drawing in pencil and then working on it digitally. But, for the last several years, I wasn’t satisfied with it anymore. As much as I loved it, anything I made never reached the version I have in my head. Nor did anything I feel like anything I made could compare with the are of others. I felt my skill peaked, I got frustrated, and dropped it for a long time. It's true what they say, "comparison is the theif of joy." I still drew just in pencil sketches a few times, but it that was pretty rare. However, I just got a new 6th gen #iPad with an #applepencil . I adore it! It’s like I get to skip the most grueling steps of digital illustration and go directly to drawing on a screen! I’ve had a Bamboo Wacom drawing tablet before, but I could never adapt to drawing on a screenless slate while having the lines appear 2-3 feet away on the monitor. For me, it was no better than a mouse. But this… oh baby! It is so satisfying! I’m using this drawing app called #ProCreate (hate the name, love the app). It's capable of so much. Its difficult to learn by itself, but after one or two tutorials explaining it, it is truly amazing! It can do oh so much! This is a far, far better drawing experience. And if I need photoshop, I can simply import it over to the pc. And as you see, I love the #timelapse feature. I just wish when you hit “undo”, it would be excluded for the time-lapse. I may be doing more of these, but I’d like to feel it out first. I got overly ambitious with all recording at 5 different camera angles (6 if you include game capture). I think if I do something like this one again, I’ll find a new way to go about it. This was not a lean process. Glad I upgraded to the i7 or I’d really get bogged down here. I've been wanting to work on a new channel banner for a while now. I only ever sorta liked that filtered image of me with my rift on. In fact, that image was taken from my old google #tiltbrush video (which was awful). It's been long over due. I set up a little photoshoot, took a few pics with an idea in mind. You could never really see my face with the headset on. So I took a pic with and without the #rift , and combined them, fading in the #oculus to present the best of both. I still don't like the banner. I like the elements of it, but not as a whole. Well, no time for that, I have videos to make. You know I love VR, even cell phone VR. But it pains me to see so many of these way over stocked. It just tells people that this is a gimmick and not worth getting.
