Homebrew Distillery: Ocean Domain Cleric
Tumblr media
The sea brings to mind many contradictory images. It can be gentle waves lapping lazily at the sandy shore, or a bottomless pit of water ready to suck you under to the fathoms below. It can be a beautiful blue-green, or black as a kraken’s inky heart. It can be a bountiful provider of food and economy, or it can be a cruel impassable boundary that divides the people of the world. Gods of the sea tend to have very similar reputations. Capable of great serenity and destruction, of great beauty and heinousness, or of compassion and selfishness. Clerics of the Ocean Domain understand the sea’s constant back and forth nature, and respect both it’s beauty and its unpredictable ire.
1st Create or Destroy Water, Earth Tremor 3rd Gust of Wind, Misty Step 5th Tidal Wave, Wall of Water 7th Control Water, Watery Sphere 9th Cone of Cold, Maelstrom
Gift of the Depths
When you choose this domain at 1st level, you gain a swimming speed equal to your walking speed, and you can breathe both air and water.
Atlantean Weaponry
At 1st level, you gain proficiency with tridents, nets, javelins, and spears.
Channel Divinity: Fathoms Below
Beginning at 2nd level, you present your holy symbol. For 1 minute, you can create an aura of sea water within a 10 ft radius of you. This water hovers in a perfect sphere and is treated as Underwater, and creatures within the sphere apply the mechanics of underwater combat. If creatures cannot breathe underwater, they treat the aura like difficult terrain. Creatures with an innate swimming speed inside the aura can move freely at their normal swimming speed in any direction. As an action, you can cause the water in your aura to become turbulent. Creatures within your aura make a Strength saving throw against your spell save DC or take 2d8 bludgeoning damage and are pulled toward the center of the aura.
Catch and Release
When you reach 6th level, you can throw an enchanted net to snare another creature. As an action, you can cast Hold Monster at its lowest level without using a spell slot.
Divine Strike
Starting at 8th level, you gain the ability to infuse your weapon strikes with oceanic energy. Once on each of your turns when you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can cause the attack to deal an additional 1d8 cold damage to the target. When you reach 14th level, the extra damage increases to 2d8.
Torrential Tides
Beginning at level 17, as an action, you can open a portal to the elemental plane of water, allowing water to rush out. Open the portal at a point you can see within 30 feet of you. The portal faces away from you, and creates a surge of water that is 30 feet wide, 10 feet thick, and 10 feet high. The deluge travels 40 feet in the direction you are facing away from you. Creatures in the path of the wave must succeed on a Strength saving throw against your spell DC or take 6d8 bludgeoning damage and be knocked prone. On a successful saving throw, they take half damage and are not knocked prone. Regardless of their success with the saving throw, the tidal wave pushes all creatures in its path to the the end of the wave’s range. After this feature is used, the terrain becomes difficult due to the flooding. This feature can be used equal to your Wisdom modifier between long rests.

Tiefling Tails (thoughts I’ve had about them)
-There are 2 variants of tiefling tails, the Plumed tail and the Pointe Tail.
-The Plumed tail is a variation where the tip is covered in a nice amount of hair; people who have studied the species have theorized that this is to make sure the tip is kept warm. It’s not good for much outside of being soft and pretty.
-Some people have noticed that in certain climates, Plumes are used to erase foot prints they leave behind. They’re also very effectively used as lures for small animals when hunting.
-The Pointe Tail is what the name implies. It’s got a sharp point made of bone. These pointes come in a variety of shapes and sizes from classical arrow tip to a variety of pointes that resemble weaponry such as schimtars, knife blades, even sythes.
-Theories assume this evolutionary trait in the Pointe tailed Tiefling is to ensure that they are always ‘weaponized’ provided the muscles in the tail are strong enough and at the right speed, being hit by a Pointe could draw blood.
-Pointe (PP) is a dominate trait over Plumed (Pp) Making the Pointe population greater than the Plumed.
-In some cultures where tieflings are regarded as lesser citizens or even slave classes, it’s not uncommon for their tail tips to be clipped-basically de-arming them with their pride and their default weapon.
-Many tieflings that mange to escape this lifestyle will often try to replace their pointes via metal jewelry they fasten at their severed tail tip. The pointes can range from simply being aesthetically pleasing to very practical weapons.
-It’s very common among families of tieflings for mothers to wrap their tails around their children’s waists to keep them close. Large families will often have the children hold each other’s tails in a sort of parade like elephants.
-Tieflings will often wrap their tails around each others; as a way of intimacy when the hands need to be occupied. They have often be known to do this with other tailed races involuntarily (Most other tailed races don’t really know what to make of these gestures.)
-The natural known enemy of the Tiefling tail is the rocking chair and rude small children who like to yank things.

Viet Holimion Diamonddew
Dwarven Druid. 23 years old. Follows the goddess Chauntea. Raised mostly by elves. Thinks balance and family is above all else. Level 6.
My current character. For a very quick tl;dr. Lived with dwarves for 8 years before family being exiled and later found and taken in by elves. Viets dwarf and elven clans hold grudges against each other that are generations old. Literally walked into the goddess and trained to be a druid. Chauntea tasked him with ending the feud. Currently in SaltMarsh (Ghosts of SaltMarsh). Just been asked to visit the group of druids in the next region over.
Pic above is just in his traveling clothes. Pic below is his usual equipment. He wears a Cloak of Elvenkind, Battle Chef's Splendid Saucepan, and the Basilisk Dagger (not pictured). His staff is a normal staff made from the heart tree in his forest village and embedded in it, numerous gems from his parents. He does not wear shoes but wears weasel pelt foot coverings (not pictured). His hide armor is underneath the travellers clothes.

Another Charactwr Sheet Yall!
I've been really into making character sheets lately. Technically, I made this one before the other I posted. But that one was made with the intent to share that with the world. This one was one I wanted just for me. But I love how it turned out so I figured why not?
Its A5 size so it should be pretty well adjusted to being printable. One has a parchment like color, the other no color.
Of course, there are some mistakes in this that I'm not too fond of, but I like the hand drawn look ita got with the mistakes. I opted for hand writing everything on here too, for that hand drawn look.
Yes, there are very similar aspects in this one to the other; the currency section, HP bottle, Hit Dice counter, AC shield, and list of skills. But why change something that looks good and is easy to make?
For this one, I wanted to be able to put my characters portrait in since I really like how he came out as well.
Feel free to use, edit, share, I dont care! If you do edit, reblog with your edits so I can see! I love seeing yalls work too!

Custom DnD Character Sheet
Here is a character sheet I made for myself and decided to share it with yall as well. Its A5 size so it should be pretty well adjusted to being printable. One has a parchment like color, the other no color.
The only things not included on this sheet are Proficiency/Languages and a spot of the Electrum currency. My current character is a druid so knows my proficiencies is easy to remember. Plus, I use my inventory sheet for nothing which equipment and tools I can use and is proficient in. And my group and DM dont use EP within the currency so I disnt add it either. Dont like wasted space.
To be made next is inventory sheets! I'll be making them sectioned off my type, i.e. potions, food, equipment, etc.
Feel free to use, edit, share, I dont care! If you do edit this to add in the Proficiency /Languages box, please reblog this post with your edits so I can see how you'd put it in!
Thanks all and happy questing!

Hi! First of all, thanks for your blog! Its awesome and an inspiration for my games :) I wanted to ask you which software do you use to give it that "official pdf" look and if it takes a great effort to use. Thanks in advance!
There is a guide here for photoshop and the likes under the tutorial tag. But most people use homebrewery.com
