I've been doing plenty of art lately I just haven't had anything to show here! I always forget about stuff here. Anyways.
You know that one kitten meme?
My artistic interpretation of a sandworm after the assault on the Emperor's troops
They mostly eat planktonic life forms with only occasional larger meals they must've been so stuffed I bet the shai-hulud were all in big lazy food comas while digesting for the next six months

See?! See why this is so fascinating to me?! It took mere hours to instantly see pretty much the full dichotomy of how people interact with media and GOD I fuckin love how people interact with media. The art is in the act observation or something etc etc
Tumblr media
Wait I can make polls hey people in fandoms fanon whatevers-
Loosey-goosey. Feel free to reblog to spread it around, I'm very curious! I constantly make AUs and various versions of things because I just like making them, but I have friends who have ONE version of things so intense that it even overwrites canon for them, and I also know canon purists who are interested in just what's already determined, and all are very neat! If you do multiples for different fandoms, pick whichever you tend towards the most- or at least the most strongly. Or just show results or whatever. IDK I'm not the cops.

Most of what I've been drawing lately is INCREDIBLY niche art for approximately me and five people on my discord (fanart of fanart of fanart) so there's no real point of posting it here BUT I did recently play a new PF2e character who I had to draw immediately because the image of them was so strong and clear. And also because it's important I be able to say "I'm playing a Dwarven Cleric who is also a firefighter" and have something to back that up.
Upsides: Firefighter Cleric very funny concept Really really really funny upsides: it's an Eberron campaign so she's a firefighter based off early 1900s firefighters who live in Stormreach so a TOTALLY NOT CORRUPT AT ALL fire warden living in PIRATE CITY he he ho ho

I got diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis a couple months ago after some Pretty Fucking Significant Medical Complications and it's been a...trial? It's been a whole fuckin' thing. Hey did you know it can take upwards of 4-5 months to get approved to start treatment for a progressive disease? That's neat. That's cool. I haven't really felt like refining and sharing art lately.

Visual exploration of the best kind of OC: the kind that’s already dead when they enter a story. Wanted to make a creepy Sith Ghost, because why not, so here’s Darth Somnum, a Thisspiasian Sith who lived ages ago, whose creepy mask is considered a treasure but it always seems to make it’s way back to the temple where she died.
Darth Somnum’s master punished her by cutting something off for each failed attempt to kill him, but kept her around more as plaything and experiment. When she was out of arms to remove, he took her tongue, then one eye, then the other. On the seventh attempt, she succeeded in killing him through dream and emotion manipulation- which became her specialty. Eventually, she was killed by an apprentice of her own. She had never been more proud than that moment, given that her past several apprentices never managed to do so, and died in their attempts.
Look I love how fucked up weird we can make Sith stuff and I’ve always been a proponent of leaning into it.
Even in death, she’s a huge bitch who enjoys playing with people, dredging up memories or dragging them into fantasy/nightmare worlds she crafts out of fears and delights. Of course, given sufficient entertainment, she may decide to teach those who seek out her deathbed a few tricks- all the better to keep the galaxy on it’s toes.
Sentius and Ilvashta go to take her mask as a Sith treasure but she has a lot of fun plonking them both into force visions and making them live out traumatic memories and altered realities where they become their greatest fears. You know. Fun stuff. They survive, though, and manage to push through (barely) so she lets them take her mask and her lessons.

...why do we make OCs if not for them to be sexy thirst traps. Ilvashta now, as a brick goddamn house. Ilvashta in her twenties as still a brick house but one trying to show off.
Exceptionally funny in Ilvashta’s case because she’s usually covered neck to toes so glimpsing this much skin is wildly rare. Presumably the AC unit on the ship broke down or something.
She actually had a lot more bodily confidence in her early twenties. Fortunately, this is the Star Wars universe so things like cell phones and pictures and social media and dating websites don’t exist, but if they did she’d have an embarrassing digital history of being young, hence the doodles. As is she’s absolutely mortified enough that some people remember her being young and confident and full of space coke. Sentius gets to tease her about it but he’s about the only one.
Bonus sweaty pals under the cut.
Tumblr media
“All these credits and you didn’t get the Air Conditioning on the ship fixed?” “Don’t test me, Vashta.”
Sentius has it way worse by virtue of Chiss being from an iceball planet so presumably he is slowly roasting to death. But also. Looking fucking great while doing so. Worth it.

*to the tune of We Are Family by Sister Sledge*
WE ARE EVIL FRIENDS
FUCK EVERYONE I’M IN IT FOR ME
@knighttimeart ‘s Darth Sentius, the Seventh Brother, and my own SWOC Ilvashta are in a contractual business arrangement. Both survived and lived past the fall of the Empire, and eventually ran into each other (the notion is vague and loose but I think that she was trying to find a bounty target the same location and time he was looking to relieve someone of their Cool Expensive Shit and she defaulted to “assist the scary evil wizard” because it’s a comfortable fallback when you saw Darth Vader when you were younger)
Anyways, after realizing that she had all this training and history and potential but was spending it living in hostels and drinking herself to death he made her an offer. A paycheck, of course. Power. Goals. Respect. People to order around. Someone to order her around (that’s him). Clothes that weren’t ugly grey lumps because she can’t dress herself for shit.
Naturally, she agreed.
Of course, the main problem is that she has a deep-seated fear of “sorcerers” she’s had to struggle with and fight against. Unbeknownst to her or anyone at the time, she’s somewhat force-sensitive, but a lifetime of suppression has turned it into a sort of sickening reaction to the force. Certainly explains why she’s done shit like made perfect shots without looking or through walls, and can occasionally tear through walls.
As is, though, the vibes coming off most force-users are just awful for her. Vibes so bad she breaks into a cold sweat and gets tremors.
I love the little sketches that make a sort of story. Just them talking, then talking more, and then her carrying his ass princess-style across a shootout. In all fairness, even he’s not immune to speeder crashes and concussions.
It’s extremely funny to me that both of these goth-ass villains are like. The brightest colors imaginable. Hot Pink and Cotton Candy, next to Aggressively Bright Blue. This is actually part of a larger picture but the facial expressions are too good to pass up.

I’ve been drawing my Star Wars OC a fair amount lately, and her design’s changed a lot but uhhhh here’s Ilvashta! She’s an unusually huge and horribly strong Twi’lek with a lot of issues and a weird history.
Her mother was the favored consort of an Imperial Officer, and when he married her, he also adopted Ilvashta and used his status to get her imperial schooling and a military career that was largely just being shuffled to run a low-risk prison despite her having excellent marks otherwise. After a few years of maddeningly boring fascist work, the Empire fell, she surrendered herself to Rebel/New Republic forces who arrived, and due to having been not really doing anything spent a few years in prison before being released and immediately starting an illustrious career of drinking herself blind and doing low-level enforcer and bounty hunter gigs. She’s kind of a career dirtbag, but an honest one.
At least, until she met @knighttimeart ‘s Sentius, and then got to start an actually worthwhile career as a Lieutenant in his little Not A Criminal Organization, putting her skills and strength to good use for villainy and greed the galaxy over.
She tries very hard to not show emotions and then goes off like a time bomb when she’s pushed to her limits, which is..unfortunately not that hard to do. But it kinda works in her favor. Ilvashta also has a lot of hangups about having frequently been one of the only non-humans in her schooling/training so that hasn’t been great. She’s also a little bit force-sensitive, but more about that in the next post...
Ilvashta also has a lot of Gender Feels, and a complicated relationship with her body. Strength training is one of the few things she really likes about herself and sometimes she does absolutely buckwild shit like lift up landspeeders or tear open steel doors with her hands. I’m sure that’s fine! That’s absolutely fine.
I only figured out how I wanted to draw her stripes like a week ago

SECRET DOSSIER: THE WEAKNESSES OF MOLE GIRL
Nothing delights me more than characters who are actually pretty powerful  but have kind of banal weaknesses to temper them and keep them in line, so here’s Mole Girl again!
1. She lives underground, and as a result doesn’t really have a circadian rhythm. If she ever had one (it’s uncertain if she’s a human or subterranean or something else altogether) it’s all gone to hell at least. She’s  awake for periods of anywhere from six to thirty hours at a time, interspaced with both short naps and deep sleep that can last for a day or more. This means that at weird times she gets incredibly drowsy and tired and has to go bury herself in her cloak for a while to snooze. Zzzz.
2. Heights bad. :( Being indoors or underground is usually fine, and she weirdly doesn’t seem bothered by diving off of underground cliffs or sliding down tunnels, but being out in the open air and high up is distressing for her. She’s a bit agoraphobic, as you might expect from a subterranean critter. Whenever she’s in tall buildings she avoids going near windows and also doesn’t like elevators. She REALLY doesn’t like planes.
3. Photophobic! If her goggles (or sunglasses in her blending in guise) are knocked off, get ready for everything to grind to a halt. It’s uncertain if this is actually a physical reaction or psychological or both, but exposing her eyes sends her into a spiral of panic that usually ends with her digging herself into the ground or being insensate with the need to cover her face. Related, of course...
4. ...she also just doesn’t like her face being exposed or seen, and will go wildly out of her way to avoid others seeing her eyes. She’s deeply private- few are ever invited to her lair, and when on the surface she’ll hole up in closets or stairwells, small and dark places. Her mouth and nose she seems fine briefly exposing (though she claims she needs her respirator as THE SURFACE AIR IS A FOUL POISON TO MY SUBTERRANEAN LUNGS though really she just has super bad allergies) to bite or eat, but her face...that’s a mystery.

I can’t tell if it’s funnier if Mole Girl can inexplicably drive despite supposedly being from Subterranea and not having any surface world identification, or if she can’t and just gets around through increasingly silly methods. Little bit of both, really.
She has a questionable collection of ancient artifacts.

You know how some people make cool heroic OCs or wicked villain OCs for stuff like Marvel comics?
Instead my Marvel OC is “what if Mole Man was worse” and I love her so fucking much. MOLE GIRL whose design is continually evolving is a Subterranean threat that occasionally causes problems on the surface world and nobody’s sure if she’s Mole Man’s daughter or something? Nobody really seems to be able to pin down how old she is. Sometimes she talks about watching He-Man as a kid but then other times she talks about when she briefly hung out with George Washington and then she’ll turn around and talk about the invasion of Subterranea by the Thule Society.
She is. Confusing. And she shouts all the time.
Mole Girl uses gauntlets made out of these bizarre crystalline claws that let her “dig” through surfaces in a way that breaks physics, and has incredible senses that make up for her weakness to bright lights/sunlight, including a tremorsense similar to echolocation. Also her hanging out with @necromastersdomainstuff ‘s Marvel OC villain Dart there, a poison dart frog themed assassin.
I like her “BLENDING IN WITH THE OVERWORLDERS” outfit because it’s exactly as comfy as you’d expect.

Storm and Jean
Amidst all the stuff I was doing, I revisited my X-Men setting and I always love revisiting that. The first two true Omega-Level Mutants known and quantified.
Ororo Munroe’s control over weather is greater than most suspect, and when she truly uses the full extent of her abilities she can *change coastlines* permanently within’ hours. She does not do this often. And she does not do it lightly. I also have my own take on her appearance, as I always do, but my personal idea for her eyes is that her eyes are blue- when the sky is clear. And they are grey when it rains. And flaming red or soft violet at dawn or dusk. Black, speckled with stars, in the middle of the night. And when lightening flashes, so do her eyes. She *is* the sky and the weather.
Jean Grey should be a powerful psychic. That should be it. She should be capable of incredible feats beyond human capacity, yes, but that should have been all- were it not for the paracausal nature of the Phoenix. Death, Life, Birth, Jean is the source and the victim of the Phoenix, as it tears through reality again and again in a loop through time, space, and Jean’s mind. If she is lucky, she will learn to reign this energy in, control it, channel it, become it’s master. If she falters, it will burn her out and use what’s left for it’s own devices.
wait jean where are your pants

Spider-Bite is another Spider-AU that I tinker around with, more or less centering around the idea of a Symbiote-Spider-Person Mary Jane and a mixture of the horror of being a young woman mixed with straight up cosmic and monster horror.
I just love her. Uh. Pictures in order
1. Despite being a seventeen year old she’s got big “child lost in a wendys” vibe due to the oversized hoodie.
2. She does lots of weird spiderlimb stuff, and usually skitters around on them or uses them as additional arms.
3. Venom gets out of control sometimes, though. It’s very tough for the both of them.
4. Her own body is actually mostly symbiote tissue to a certain point, so stuff like turning her limbs into weapons is a viable strategy! Here, she’s kicking one of the techno-organic Spider Slayer constructs a new one as it tries to capture her.
5. Big teenage emotions + hyperpredator instincts are. Rough.
6. Every Spider-Person has their “Uncle Ben” moment. The moment they failed that set up the rest of their life. The moment everything changed. She doesn’t talk about hers much, especially not during Spiderverse teamups. Everyone else had such a tragic time...hers was very, very different. Venom views it as a victory.
Spider-Bite for the most part spends her time protecting people on the street, tracking down dangerous people and alien invaders, and trying to avoid being captured by government MIBs and companies who want to weaponize what she has.

I don’t know when the last time I posted here was (sorry oops) but I woke up with this particular Spider-AU fully formed in my mind. Just. Mashin’ together things I love. Cavemen and Babes and Spider-Man AUs
P’tr aka “Stone”, the She-Spider! Blessed with the gifts of the most clever of all hunters, the She-Spider protects The Valley from man, beast, and things both and neither!
And two example villains;
Rax, the Molten Man, survived a volcanic eruption that destroyed his entire society- but became part of the lava flow himself. Now he wanders, unable to touch without destroying, unable to feel anything but heat, no longer eating nor drinking, a force of nature made to suffer. He tries to “sculpt” himself new solid bodies sometimes, out of cooled stone, but they inevitably crack and shatter when he moves. He fears that he is forgetting the shape of his own face.
The Rhino is just a big seemingly unstoppable jerk who lives amongst a herd of wooly rhino, and regularly raids nearby settlements to steal all the pears and shit. Not exactly a major-league villain but a reoccurring problem.

Kinda older art but there’s enough of it that I feel like it’s worth posting - so my big 80′s Cartoon Universe MotU AU thing that has no good name does, inevitably, involve...ponies. Small horses. Taking cues from @jayrockin‘s Tiny Sapient Ungulate designs, the, uh, horse crew of my universe’s MLP? At least, the ones active when the main story takes place elsewhere in the universe and they eventually run into each other. Equestria is so far removed from most of the cosmos due to Celestia and Luna basically looking at the oncoming Space Lich Horde and going “actually, fuck this” and moving a few solar systems around to hide themselves.
The “main characters” are your pretty standard group of adventuring heroic young adults tho.
Anyways info about the characters and some of the worldbuilding under the cut
Had a lot of fun basing these guys off some of my favorite earlier-gen ponies.
Moonstone - Doesn’t actually go adventuring! Mostly uses her prophetic powers to guide the other ponies to those who need them. Suffers from a curse that causes her to be asleep in sunlight and only awake at night.
Sundance - Incredibly magical “firstborn” (ie created through magical parthenogenesis) with a heroic streak and a knack for leadership. Sort of. She’s getting the hang of it! Learning to be a wizard.
Firefly - Went back to the OG Rainbow Dash and you all know how this works. Hotheaded, too fast for her own good, actually a direct royal descendant but doesn’t want people to know.
Clover - Mild-mannered and chilled-out hippie witch vibes with this one. Has basically druidcraft powers, and is able to communicate with plants and the like. Has flowers perpetually growing in their hair, somehow.
Sweetheart - Ah, the most incredible magic of all. Emotions! Namely, being an empath. And a psychic. Kind of a powerful one, actually. This is probably fine. Sweetheart is stylish and girly and can come across as a bit haughty but she’s fiercely loving and protective of her friends.
Patch - Patch’s vocabulary is about 50% just “yeup” or “nah”, being less inclined towards talking and more inclined towards either stoic quiet or kickin’ ass and eatin’ grass!
-
Also some family groupings! Because I had all these horse templates to mess with.
More on pony phylogeny later, but ponies generally aren’t divided into, like, “Unicorn” or “Pegasus” as species or sub-species, rather all Ponies just...are ponies with various magical morphisms (though like...you’re unlikely to find non-flying ponies living in floating sky cities or non-seaponies underwater for good reason) so most surface populations are pretty varied. enough magic can basically change one type of pony into another type in a pinch, though, even if it’s seldom permanent (unless it’s Ascension to Princehood but becoming a Prince/ss is. A whole different thing and that’s why some of these ponies look more like actual full size horses because if you have enough magic it’s like how axolotls can become salamanders. But it’s like. If Magical axolotl horse wizards could potential become full-grown horse wizards in the right scenario.)
Clover has two little siblings, Milkweed and Tumbleweed. Their mother, Ivy, is a “druid” in the sense of being a sort of nature guardian figure while Minty is a gardener.
Patch was born to dads Buttons and Bow - two tailors who used to be business rivals. You’d be amazed at how successful fashion designers can be even on a world where being naked is considered “casual”.
Sweetheart’s parents fill interesting roles due to their highly skilled and focused magic - Snuzzle (who you may recognize as a Twice As Fancy pony) is a powerful empath and psychic who actually attends to Princesses and Goddesses when needed, and Secret Admirer was presumably some sort of Bond-esque spy. I will not elaborate.
Sundance and her older “sister” Light Heart are both firstborn- aka ponies who don’t actually have parentage! Though whatever Goddess creates them presumably counts to some degree- these two were obviously crafted by Celestia, given their color schemes and solar nature. Ponies have pretty low population growth so occasional spontaneous abiogensis is just. A fact of life.
Firefly has three siblings, a powerfully magic royal mother, and her dad (with whom she shares a name) is a prince and effectively a demigod, being a Nightmare (a rare type of pony with magic that comes directly from the goddess Luna) and also ruling over one of the cloud-kingdoms with a heavy emphasis on moderating the weather. Everyone in this family is a super high achiever.
Also this means that Firefly’s gramma is an immortal ageless goddess of darkness and night but to Firefly she’s just Gam-gams! Sometimes your deity grandma comes to visit you in dreams and when you wake up there’s a butterscotch under your pillow.
There’s a lot of stuff because I went kinda overboard but uhhh making a MLP setting is fun and I highly suggest it if you ever want to combine cute soft little magical horses with thinking way too hard about the implications of a society that runs entirely off of incredible feats of magic where everyone can do at least one bizarre thing.
