I recently had foot surgery and have had to take a lot of unpaid time off work, plus I’m having trouble getting around (currently in a wheelchair, will be on crutches later for quite a while) and will need to pay for delivery food and taxis.  That gets expensive!

Because I was recovering from surgery at the end of last month, I didn’t run a Black Friday/Small Business Saturday/Cyber Monday sale, so I’m running one now!  Everything is 15% off.  If you’ve been considering buying something, I would really appreciate it if you did it now.  I’m very open to holding things for people and I ship quickly!

Hey everyone!  Long time no see.  I’ve pretty much given up on taking outfit photos at the moment, because a) no matter what I do, they usually end up grainy, and b) it’s not like I’m dressing up all that much at the moment.  There is one more thing I’m going to try with my camera to hopefully fix the graininess; if it works, I may post the occasional outfit, but if it doesn’t, I’m going to be more or less inactive for a while.  You can follow my instagram (same username as here) which is a mix of quite a lot of things, including some fashion/outfit stuff.  I will hopefully be able to come back to this blog at some point, when I have access to an outdoor space for photography again.  (I currently live in an apartment building in the middle of a city, which is also problematic for just generally getting outdoors when there’s a pandemic happening.)

So, if you don’t mind following a mostly-inactive blog, there probably will be some pictures here and there if you stick around.  Or, again, I generally post at least once a week on instagram.  (It’s a mix of food, fashion, makeup, plants, fiber art, etc.)

Of course the next time I dress up and have the energy to try photos, this may all become moot if I’m able to get my camera to get rid of the graininess after all.

I think I mentioned this already, but I’ve got a new computer and a new, updated version of Photoshop, and adjusting to it is hard.  Plus, it’s pretty demoralizing to have most of my photos come out super grainy, even though I’ve worked so hard to try and fix it.  So that’s why I’m not taking and/or editing a lot of photos.  Anyway, here’s an outfit from March, with what may be my new favorite skirt.

I planned this outfit last year but then it got too cold to wear... and I was gonna wear it with my brown flats but then I broke a tiny bone in my foot and there’s all these annoying complications... and now there’s a pandemic. damn.  This outfit came out very coordinated, though!

I got this gorgeous dress completely free from ThredUp--at first I thought it was a mistake that they’d refunded me the money and I was getting away with something, but it turned out that they’d discovered some stains after I paid and gave it to me for free.  It’s 100% silk and washing it is going to be a huge (and expensive) pain in the ass, so not charging me for it seems pretty reasonable.  The color is more teal in real life (I don’t really like pure blue) but my camera struggles with stuff in the teal and red-orange categories and always messes up the colors.

And I’m back!  I’ve got a backlog of photos from before I stopped going out, plus a few from when I’ve gotten dressed up at home.  It’s just taking me ages to edit them because I haaaaaaaaate the new version of photoshop on my new computer, plus something is wrong with said new computer and it crashes whenever I have too many things open.  Lest you think that that means I’m overloading the poor thing, please note that it is a gaming computer and it’s meant to have, yanno, video games running.  Also the keyboard is possessed.

Anyway, back in the days when different days of the week meant you did very different activities, I decided I ought to wear my fancy dresses more on the weekend, even if I didn’t have anything fancy planned.
