Since we're talking about abstract art, I don't think I've shown these off before.

So the basic technique is:

1. Start with a black canvas.

2. Swirl dish soap in a cool pattern on the canvas. (The soap will be the black lines later)

3. Spray the canvas with spray paint. The paint slides off the soap, but will dry on the non-soaped bits.

4. Wait for it to dry, then gently rinse the canvas to get the soap off and air dry it.

You can also spray paint the canvas first, let it dry, then soap, and spray black (or another color) over it. (Which is what I did for the last one. I also washed that one more aggressively, which got some cool texture stuff going on)

Wait, do people know about the Before I Play wiki?

I have used this for..... at this point easily over 6 years. It's a wiki where there will be low-spoiler/non-spoiler hints about just stuff you would want to know before playing a game.

It's always stuff like.... "Vitality in this game is useless, put your points in everything else first" or "Don't leave the second hub town until you buy X item, it'll become unobtainable."

Lemme pick an example almost everyone will know. From the Animal Crossing New Horizons page, the first tip is:

Nearly everything on the island is movable later, including all buildings and even cliffs and rivers. The main things that are fixed are the stuff on the border of the island (river mouths, beaches, rocks/peninsulae, the dock and the airport) and the resident services plaza, so picking your island layout should be based around that primarily.

That's stellar advice, tbh, given what you'll know about the game 30 hours in instead of 30 minutes.

Not every game is covered obviously and not every piece of advice is good, it's all subjective, BUT..... I look up almost every game I play for the first time, just to keep stuff in mind. The SMT4 page had top tier advice imo.

It's 3am and I'm consumed by this thought that I must share with someone and I think you're one of the few people who will grasp just how truly shit's fucked here but please imagine. A version of the Lu Ten lives AU where Zuko goes to lake laogai for appa and finds his cousin imprisoned instead. Zuko thinks that now that Iroh has his REAL son back, he doesn't need him. Lu Ten is furious that Iroh has let his baby cousins that he practically raised himself get this messed up. Iroh is obliviously overjoyed that he now has both his sons with him safe and sound. The pending implosion is going to be catastrophic.

i think that considering lu tens """death""" (quotations for this au at least) basically changed the course of the war it would only make sense that him turning up alive at such a critical moment would change the course of the war once more. i think the crystal catacombs showdown especially would go Very differently if i consider how i hc lu ten and azulas relationship. so instead of everybody fighting and killing each other its just lu ten cussing iroh out for 45 minutes straight while everyone stays out of the way Respectfully

A premature Palestinian baby, who was saved from her mother’s womb after she was killed in an Israeli attack in the Gaza Strip, has died after days in an incubator.

Sabreen al-Rouh Jouda died in a Gaza hospital on Thursday after her health deteriorated and medical teams were unable to save her, said her uncle, Rami al-Sheikh Jouda.

Dr Mohammad Salama, head of the emergency neonatal unit at Emirati Hospital in the southern Gaza city of Rafah, who was caring for the baby girl, also confirmed her death on Friday.

“I and other doctors tried to save her, but she died. For me personally, it was a very difficult and painful day,” Salama told the Reuters news agency. [...]

The girl, who was named Sabreen after her mother, was rescued through a Caesarean section after her mother succumbed to her injuries.
