it was played as a joke but
there's something genuinely harrowing about gorgug and kristen on the deck of the ship, pelted by rain, swarmed by dragons, these two teenagers looking at each other with wide eyes trying to bury the fear down deep, and
do you remember when we died?
they were freshmen, they were children, they were two years younger but it feels like a hundred hundred years ago
it feels like yesterday, because deep down they're still that boy hiding his too large frame behind a metal flower and a girl stuffing her too large personality into the pages of her bible
do you remember when we died?
the ship rocks violently with cannon fire, hands of fear and divinity and loss creeping from the clouds
do you remember the day you lost your faith?
do you remember a forest so sharp it cut you clean through?
do you think we ever woke up?

zac deciding that k2 had no clue what was happening and didn't know who any of these people were is so fucking funny but also fitting. living a half-life full of confusion and sacrificing yourself reaching out to the goddess of holding your hand in the dark

thinking about the very common idea among antebellum american slaveowners that ex-slaves would initiate a race war as soon as they were free and that whites would never be safe among people they or their ancestors owned so they should be moved to a different country. and how that was completely stupid and the racial violence post-abolition was racist anti-black violence not slews of anti-white revenge killings across the nation and a dissolution of society. anyway thinking about that and also the insistence from the zionist crowd that if palestinians were given equal rights or even if the occupation slackened its grip a little every single israeli from the river to the sea would be murdered by vengeful palestinians.

before you ship something stop and ask yourself... Is this otp material? Make sure your characters are:
Obstinate and inflexible in their actions
Terrible for each other in most circumstances
Poor communicators

The duality of Emily Axford: the session where she dramatically faked her goth manic pixie dream girl persona's death on the front lawn of the guy she had been gaslighting for the last few months in an attempt to drive a wedge in their party (insane, unhinged, what was the goal here) is the same session where she flawlessly fed Porter the wrong name for the corrupted god he was trying to usurp, probably foiling his plan and screwing over his ritual before it could even start (insane, genius, galaxy-brained). Truly, the most unpredictable player of all time. There is no middle ground.

While I always enjoy headcanons where Erik is clueless about Peter being his son, I'm 100% convinced the point of Peter and Erik's scene in Apocalypse where Peter says "I'm here for my family too" *is* Erik finding out. He's not stupid and that sweet baby looking up at him with puppy eyes while Mystique waxes on about him still having family...Yeah Erik got emotional as he looked at his son and I will die on that hill. Even him asking pointedly "what about you?" It makes sense for a speedster to transport Mystique where she needs to go. He's already suspecting when he asks that question. Then Peter flounders. Obvious.
It certainly isn't a satisfying conversation, and it is nowhere near being a proper conclusion for that plot thread, but he definitely knew that was his son by the end of that scene.
AND, he would remember Peter rescuing him from the Pentagon (pretty memorable), where Peter straight up said his mom had been with a guy fitting Eric's description.
And one more thing: Peter's leg being broken and the camera cutting to Erik *reacting* to it...
There's just no way he didn't know.
Aaaaand that is the story of what let's me sleep at night. Thanks for listening.

One last thing, I CANT get over how during the reveal, Brennan looks to Murph and goes, “Barbarian healing? What the hell is barbarian healing?”
Murph. Rules lawyer dungeon master Murph. Married to Emily “read-the-book” Axford. How did he miss this. How did we miss it. There is NO barbarian feature that resembles healing. It was right there. It’s been there for years. It was right in front of us.
And he dangles that revelation right in front of Murph bc he KNOWS that one’s gotta hurt.

the teacher evaluations are absolutely priceless. Teacher evaluations appreciation post.
"Attractive bard teacher I can't remember her name."
Fig intimidating Riz into giving Eugenia all fives and him saying "Good at rogue stuff but the double fisting cigarettes was a bit much."
Fig making Porter and Zara share a form but giving Lucilla her own and Porter getting SO incensed about it.
"After all these years, still not sure if Porter is secretly evil, but smiting is so sick."
"Yeah yeah, stabby stabby" for Corsica Jones
"Strongly disagree that teacher prepared for class, but this is the way of dance. Dance is present. Dance is now. [...] Also, again, I'm so sorry. Please let me buy you a new shirt."
"Liar, frumpy, wrong."
