What’s not recorded here is official merch such as figures and the likes, since that would break the capacity and coherence of one masterpost. As a last note, watch and read links provided are examples and just one option of viewing the content - some of these things are definitely available officially on Netflix and similar sources. It’s always recommended to consume the series legally as far as possible. 

Death Note manga, 12 Volumes -  (x) This link contains high quality scans of the official English translation. What you find on other manga reading sites is likely to be scanlations which have been known to be quite faulty, so keep that in mind. The official English has a share of mistakes too but the accuracy is much higher overall.

Death Note anime, 37 episodes (x) - The anime adaptation.

Death Note Pilot Chapter (x) - does not relate to the canon timeline, has been published as a test to see if there would be interest in a series about a killer note, as is common practice in Japanese manga mags.

Death Note Chapter 109 (x) - a oneshot taking place after series finale, published later than the original series. 

Death Note: How To Read 13 (profiles and interviews: (x) (4step comics and personality test: (x)) - not fully scanlated!! The bonus volume, which includes profiles of the characters, interviews with the authors and some fun special pages. Profiles and 4stepcomics as well as parts of the interviews are online, but not all has been scanned. The online translation is confirmed to be quite faulty in lots of places, so take it with a grain of salt and aim for accessing an official publication if you are able to.

Death Note A Animation Official Analysis Guide (x) - not fully scanned!  Exactly as advertised. A guidebook of the anime production. Has never been translated. The link leads to a French forum with various scans. Sadly there is no full download of it available at this time, though some people may have it on their computers. Tidbits of this book that have been translated on tumblr can be found in this tag.

Blanc Et Noir (Artbook) ( Illustrations: (x), Artist’s comments (x) )- all illustrations combined in an artbook that also contains other Obata works illustrations. There are no full scans of the text available, but the second link leads to artist’s comments that have been translated into English from the German version of the artbook, prior to its English release. The book itself also includes a display of Obata’s art process with commentary, which has not been scanned at all.

‘One Day’ (x) - An L-centric oneshot published as part of the complementary material to the third live action movie. Whether it belongs to the movie universe or counts as manga canon is debated hotly.

‘The Wammy’s House’ (x) - same deal as above.

L File No. 15 ( not currently available online, purchase link: (x) ) - The photobook the aforementioned two manga were published in. It’s otherwise a collection of images of Kenichi Matsuyama as L.

Death Note Relight: Visions of a God (OVA) (x) - Mostly a retelling of the first arc with a few special scenes animated. Has an alternate end and does not count towards canon timeline.

Death Note Relight 2: L’s Successors (OVA) (x) - A retelling of the second arc that features a lot more new scenes and completely alters the timeline. Also non-canon.

Death Note: Another Note (x) - Novel set before the manga. Acknowledged as part of the manga timeline in HTR13.

Death Note Live Action (x)  - Also exactly as advertised. The first part of the live action adaptation.

Death Note: The Last Name (x) - Second part of the live action adaptation.

L change the WorLd (movie) (x) - The third live action movie with an entirely original plot.

L change the WorLd (novel) (x) - The novelization of the third live action movie. Set in an entirely independent universe that contradicts both the movies and the manga/anime, but honors them in a lot of side mentions and references.

Matsuda Spin-off Short (x) - released as an extra to L change the WorLd, this short movie shows movie-verse Matsuda coping with L’s death. English subs don’t seem to be available, but the content is summarized in this post.

Death Note New Generation (x) - A three part drama series set 10 years after the live action movies. It introduces the main characters to the fourth film in the continuity (Light up the New World).

Death Note Light up the NEW World / Death Note LNW  (x) - a continuation of the Japanese Live Action movies.  Death Note Light up the NEW World (novel) - novelization of the movie. No translation is available. Bits of information are here.

Death Note 2015 TV Drama (x) - A retelling of the story with altered plot and characterization.

Death Note: The Musical (x) (x) - The musical adaptation, available with two different lead actors. The first link directs you to a site where you can download both versions with subs, the second directs to a masterpost of general musical resources.
