You mentioned you like sauces, but like... what kind of sauces? Are you a bbq? honey mustard? ranch? I bet you love ranch.
I love a good ranch. But this isn't a good time. I am being attacked by witches. I will tell you about ranch Later.

they should do an MMO where everyone is a shapeshifter and you can go live with animal herds in the wild if you want for a time but you are never entirely one of them, noting that the wild animal npcs partake in behaviors with or make calls to one another that you may not understand the logic of but can try to learn to repeat the musical cadence of. this is true of even the human npcs, whose musical language is the most intricate and complex to learn of all and who will ostracize you readily if you do not use it properly. other players are not marked as players and there is no chat feature. as an elk you may not know if the wolf chasing you is an npc or another player who does not know the same of you, and there is no chat. maybe the players would develop a sort of musical cadence to identify other shifters. no one would like this game and it would not be fun. but i would like it

A quick guide to pixel art-style 3d (like A Short Hike) in Godot Engine
Step 1: 3d modelling
Use simple shapes, with flat colors:
I downloaded a pixel art palette for my texture, then just scaled/dragged the UV parts onto the colors. No need to unwrap or anything complicated:
Step 2: Godot settings
Turn off anti-aliasing > screen space roughness limiter in project settings:
Step 3: Materials. Set them up like the box on the right of the below image. This enables flat shading with little/no light diffusion (so you get sharp blocky shadows):
Step 4: Viewports.
Add a subviewport container and subviewport, set all your scene's visuals (including the camera!) as a child to the subviewport.
Turn on stretch in the subviewport container and change the stretch shrink to your liking (I used 4). Make sure the amount is divisible by 2 (ie 2, 4, 6) or the "pixels" will look wonky.
Set the layout > anchors preset to full rect.
Finally, set textures > filter to nearest.
Here is the final result! I added a bouncing/spin animation so you can see how it looks in motion.
This technique could be improved with outlines and reducing the displayed colors for a more authentic pixel art look, but for now this is a quick and easy foundation that looks pretty believable on its own.
